In less than 24hours we will be on a plane 1/2 way to orlando airport - in approx 27 hours we will land at MCO and in 271/2 hours will pick up rental car - 29 hours stopping at either super walmart or winn-dixie marketplace to get groceries etc for our stay and in approx 31hours we will be arriving at OKW - which actually leads to a ? - If we arrive and our unit is not ready - is there a place to store perishables prior to check in? also what size/type of coffee filters does the coffee maker use? And finally - at least for this post - for all you OKWers out there - what do you need to do at OKW each time you are there that just completes your vacation - something you feel is uniquely OKW. Thanks for all/any information. :p :Pinkbounc :bounce: :p :p :Pinkbounc :bounce::p

Yasuern, could you try to get a little excited about this trip? ;) ;)

The coffeemakers take the standard size Mr. Coffee filters -- flat bottom, basket size filters. They do have storage for the perishables. Just make sure you bag them together.

Something I really enjoy is getting out in the early morning at OKW...around sunrise. Take a walk and/or just sit out on the balcony and look around at the different birds and animals on the golf course. If you're lucky enough to have a unit that faces the sunrise, that's even more special. Sometimes I'd catch the hot air balloons but I'm not sure whether they still have those or not.

Have an absolutely wonderful time. I hope you get a lot of sunshine and very little rain.

Other than my morning coffee on the balcony, while my family sleeps? (I actually dream about that, come mid-winter in Boston.) It has to be the pontoon boat ride to Downtown Disney. I find excuses to take the Trumbo Ferry even if I'm staying elsewhere. :D

What says OKW to me is going to Olivias and ordering a Key Conch Chowder and a Turtle Krawl to drink and sitting at an outside table and just relaxing and taking in the beautiful warm weather. I also liked ordering the Conch fritters but they did not have them when we were there in May.
Have a wonderful, magical trip!!

Enjoy your first trip "Home" and may it be one to always remind you your purchase was more than worth it !
