Tiana's Riverboat Party Ice Cream Social and Parade Viewing Starts Nov. 29th

If I'm paying $49 for a M&G, I want a signed autograph, not a pre-printed card.
I agree. I wonder if they WOULD sign if asked? Club Villain hands out preprinted cards, but they all physically signed for us as well.

Very detailed and great photos. It has potential from a party point of view but they need to ditch the "Parade Viewing" as a perk or focus.

Perhaps a bit of tweaking. Love the Mardi Gras colors, options on and off the boat food wise, ability to take snacks with you .... meet and greet with both, not just her. How about adding Louis into the meet, and sounds like the cruising part at end needs something more. With the theme there is so much more you could do.

Agree. The theming is VERY well done here. I'd pay for this without the parade viewing, just an hour on the boat with snacks and characters!

A good movie, with good themes to work with, good characters ..... our family has always said it was missed potential at the parks.

OFF TOPIC KINDA :offtopic:

My DS1 is disabled, multiple issues but mentally a young child. LIVES every moment for DISNEY. We were going as a family to spend a week in NOLA for New Years. In order to prepare him we told him we were going where Tiana lives. Mistake. He thought he would meet her. All he did was look for her everywhere. We went down by the river, saw a riverboat ... and told him Tiana was out on the boat, she was busy. He was satisfied with the answer. I could totally see him and other kids who love the movie enjoying this ... but for me, they need to ditch the parade and come up with other entertainment, maybe extra rare character like Louis, etc.

How hard would it be to push up the time of the Riverboat party and have a section roped off for guests to view the parade up close? Wouldn't that be better? Though that would infringe on regular guests, but it isn't like Disney is above doing that.

Aw! Glad he was satisfied with that answer.

I agree, if they made this a dessert party with another character or two and de-link it from the parade, it might be better

Now that you say it as "dessert party" .... I actually like watching Wishes from over there. Last trip sat on the bench in front of the boat dock. Even better from Splash Mountain area!

SO keep the boat open all day long for folks to ride. At night when it's actually closed, do a Mardi Gras Dessert Party and then pull the boat towards Splash Mountain for the fireworks. All the folks who don't worry about front view may actually like a "discounted" dessert party for an angled view.

Imagineering at it's best! ! ! In my best, non hand gesture, Steven Tyler "I love that idea" :)

When news of this came out, I always thought they should have a small band with Louis while they're cruising. :)

This could be a possibility if they are asked for autographs during the sailing portion. There are major time constraints during the initial greeting at the ice cream party portion. 'Tiana and Naveen #1' have to be completely offstage before 'T&N #2' appear on the first float in FoF. #1 can't reappear until the parade has passed Liberty Square.

Thanks for the advice. Actually, I can think of a lot better ways to spend my money.
It's all about priorities. For my daughter and I it'll be a special treat before Christmas, and we can't afford more expensive things like club villain, and we've watched the parade plenty of time, so this will be fun for us. Plus Tiana is my favorite Disney Princess

I wonder if they would be against a roped off viewing area in liberty square because the Tiana and Naveen meeting on the ship are not the same Tiana and Naveen performing in the parade. Older guests would probably be able to spot the difference. Either way, this is my mom's favorite movie so we're scheduled for December 12th!
