Three Things...Gratitude Thread

@leebee , I'm with you on this one. I'm allergic to dogs, so this is not a great topic for me, either. I am grateful for the times when I am able to stay away from dogs and avoid triggering my allergy. It can be fun to read cartoons about dogs such as Snoopy (and I see he and other cartoon dogs were already mentioned above). That's all I've got.

Flavor combos (I typed this in the box last night and then got distracted…)
from the past:
PB and banana
Potato chips and vanilla ice cream
Cottage cheese and ketchup

LeeBee and Daisy Duck: I am more of a cat person than a dog person, so I am with you on this. I had a childhood fear of dogs because my aunt and uncle had a collie who jumped on me and also sometimes would nip someone’s hand.
Anyhow, I will give this a try:
I love how much my DGD loves dogs. She has a dog in her life now, a golden, whom she adores, so even though that dog inadvertently made me fall one time, I am happy for her.

My mom completely spoiled and doted on this miniature Dachshund that she adopted when I was in HS. I think he really helped her through the empty nest time.

I will also choose Snoopy, in all his iterations. (Joe Cool, his brother Spike) He truly makes me smile.

I love dogs, although actually owning one is far too much for my lifestyle.

1. Our family dog - she passed away a few years ago and was mad as anything, but she was the first and only dog we had as a family and was the sweetest thing. We got her mainly for my dad who retired but then passed away only a couple of years later, so she meant a lot.

2. Dogs at work - both service dogs and that my work used to breed working dogs, and i was fortunate enough to get to go and see all the new litters when they arrived. There's nothing better than getting to cuddle lots of cute puppies as part of your working day!

3. Dog walks - the best thing i love about dogs is having a reason to go out for a walk every day, even when the weather is poor the fresh air is always appreciated.
