Three Things...Gratitude Thread

First thing I do after I start the car is turn that stupid start / stop thing off that is the dumbest thing in the world you cannot possibly be saving that much gas ⛽

I do that too! I'm grateful that I can turn it off. A number of makes/models don't give you that option. I can't help but wonder if it adds to added wear and tear on things like the transmission.

What ??? Can’t turn it off 😳😳😳 dealbreaker I think I’d have to go look at a different kind of car that’s how annoying I find that thing it would make me go look at a different kind of car ugh !!!!

The Cone of Uncertainty - It's not a triangle I really like, but it's one anyone in a hurricane prone region looks to when determining whether or not we need to stay alert on a developing storm system. I still cannot believe it's 11/4 and I'm following a cone. I've known about the potential for over a week and a half and it hasn't even been named yet, but I guess at least I have time to game plan. That's something I'm quickly appreciating now that DD18 is in Tornado Alley and I'm in weather panic mode with little warning.

Pies - From traditional sweet pies to pizza pies and quiche.

Trivial Pursuit - Who didn't play and love winning a question and getting a triangular piece to add into your game pawn?

I agree with SLO pie spatula handy little thing!!!
My hangers their the space saving kind not sure if they save space but I like them!! no wire hangers for me🤣🤣🤣
Pizza 🍕- although the famous pizza known for my area is cut in squares but all the other pizzas around here are cut in triangles
Every time I hear the word triangle I think of that dreaded geometry I had to take in high school😡🤮 it’s the one class I hated the most - I had my sister do my homework because I just couldn’t get it and she’s a math wiz - unfortunately I had to take the test really drove my teacher nuts then I would make A on the homework and failed the test 🤣🤣🤣 he never did figure out that was happening you think he would since me and my sister we’re in the same grade but nope!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank God back then your report card came computer printed so it was like a carbon page above it let’s just say it was really easy to change your grade before your parents seen it- it’s not hard to make a D look like a B 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe I did that 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I don't think they even thought to check. They certainly didn't notice in their test drive. In fact, I don't think she noticed until it started to get hot outside and the a/c cutting off with the engine idle made it noticeable.

Triangular things . . . 🤔

Arrows . . . Pointing the way on road signs, indicating which side of a box should be up or which end should be opened first. Very handy thing, arrows.

I have to agree with pie, whether pizza pie or dessert pie. Pie is good!

Trusses - supporting roofs and bridges since ancient times

Toblerone!

Yacht Sails ...I find yachts so relaxing to watch. ...Most boats, really. Even, if they're just moored and the water is sloshing against their sides.

And I second (third? fourth? fifth?!) pizza slices!

Also, love the answer mountains! ⛰️🏔️

Triangles

First thing that comes to mind are all the triangles on Spaceship Earth!!

Next is the Bermuda Triangle, since we re-watched an XFiles episode tonight that was about it. :)

My favorite pieces in the magna tiles sets are the triangles and I love watching my DGD build with them.

What ?? You mean they couldn’t tell fro ALL that gas they were saving using that awesome feature ?????? Pshaw !!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Good Morning!

Quickie answers before I go vote……

#1 - my morning coffee

#2 - my winter robe

#3 - my super Duper heavy coat that I bought when Sophie (our dog that passed away two years ago) was a puppy. I haven’t used it much since, except for when I shovel snow once in a while. I will be dragging that big huge coat out of the closet this winter for when I have to take Mr. Otis outside to go potty.

Furry boots - I think you all know I love shoes. I have something like 10-12 pairs of furry boots...which is hysterical when you consider I live in such a warm area. One of my favorite and warmest are my Manitobah Mukluks. In addition to being insanely warm and having beautiful beadwork, they have these fur pom poms on the side that swing back and forth when I walk. It cracks everyone up.

Heated Seats and Steering Wheel - It's rarely cold enough here that I need to wear a coat in the car and I hate driving with gloves. So, these two features help me out tremendously when things get a little chilly. Although, it always feels strange to touch not heated part of the wheel after it heats up. Like the metal is ice cold while the wheel is toasty warm.

Campfires - While we don't always make it with our busy schedule, some family friends do an extremely large Christmas campout. If it's a cold year, that huge fire really helps keep us warm during sing-a-longs and skits.
