Acupuncture - it really is calming
Complaining to a friend / venting - so they calm you down and you don’t go and do something stupid 🤣🤣🤣
Cleaning / work off your anger and have a spotless house !! I’ve often done this - anger cleaning!!

We were aboard the Disney Magic and one of our favorite, (of many) crew members got an appendicitis attack.
DCL helicoptered him off the ship to an ER on shore.

We encountered him on a DCL Magic Cruise 6 months later and he told his tale.
DCL picked up the ER/medical and helicopter tab, gave him 30 days paid leave and flew him first class home and after recuperating First class plane ticket back to the ship.

Aquariums - I miss having one at home, but they are a lot of work and messy. Still, the sounds of the water and watching the fix (even though I had more aggressive ones) was really relaxing.

Baths - I miss the tub in our old house. It was one of those oversized jetted ones. It was so calming and relaxing. This house had tiny bathrooms and we could only fit a small jetted tub in the one, but it’s still nice.

Rain - As long as it’s not flooding rain, I love rain. I love gloomy skies and the smell of it. It’s very soothing.

Oh I loved my salt water aquariums.
They are either amazing successes,, or tragic failures.

I always had freshwater. My last one was a breeding colony of African cichlids. I’ve always wanted a saltwater tank, but triggers are my favorite. While I understand that they are pretty resilient tank occupants, they aren’t known for playing well with others. One day…maybe.

Good afternoon everyone :)

Prayer and also resetting a moment by thanking God for whatever is going on and my being able to by my faith talk with Him.

My new humidifier helps with rest as it works wonderfully to moisten the air in this dry apartment.

Watching a good movie or reading an enjoyable book can be most relaxing indeed.

3 Calming Things I am grateful for:

1. I found these “healing” videos with a particular frequency on YouTube when I was going through my cancer treatment. I don’t know if they helped heal anything, but I find them very calming, and that certainly helps!

2. Lately I’ve been listening to piano versions of Disney tunes. Very calming, especially while I am doing bills or other fun stuff like that. :)

3. I make up simple mantras while I breathe slowly to counteract my anxious thoughts. It doesn’t help during a panic attack, but it does help when my mind is too noisy and needs to settle down.

Today's Topic (Sun, 11/3) - 3 accessories or "add-ons" you're grateful for

(PS - In spite of the picture, it doesn't have to be for outfits; extras for cars or whatever count too.)

Good Sunday Morning!

I’m going to go with a car theme for this……

#1 - Heated Seats - One of my most favorite add ons ever for my car. I’ll take my heated seats over automatic windows.

#2 - Remote Start - My second favorite add on. I’ve had a remote start for so long, that I can’t imagine a winter without it.

#3 - 5 Disc CD Player - This was in one of my old mini vans, and I was so grateful for it at the time. I had all the girls kiddie CDs in it all the time - we listened to a lot of Disney, Barney, The Wiggles and so much more. Ask me what song was on the radio in the early 2000s and I couldn’t tell you, but ask me to sing a Wiggles or Barney song and I’ll be able to do it - LOL!
I miss CD players in cars today. I’m actually thinking about buying a portable one to use when I’m driving 2 1/2 hours each way to visit DD21. I miss listening to my Disney CDs
