I like this trend of vehicle features and accessories…

Automatic high beams/headlights- no longer do I have to manually turn them on and off. The vehicle just knows.

Highway Driving Assistance (HDA)- it works in conjunction with lane assistance and adaptive cruise control. It makes long distance driving so much easier.

Heads up display- I didn’t realize how much I relied on all of the little things that show up until the collision center installed the wrong windshield.

That’s what I’m saying - I really enjoy these new features on cars I forgot the best one - 5 way adjustable seats WITH memory!!!!!!!!! No more trying to get the seat back to where YOU want it AND it does the outside mirrors too I literally had a standing order under penalty of murder if you move my seat!! Because it would take me forever to get my seat back into the right position and I’m short so I mean it took forever it was don’t touch my seat I even told them at the dealership don’t you dare move that seat !!! Out of all the features maybe except for heated seats this is my all-time favorite !! Because all I gotta do now is punch button and my seat and my mirrors will go right where I want them!!!

YES!!!

Mine can save two seat/mirror settings. I’m the primary, but while teaching the kids to drive, I let them set the secondary. It’s nice to get it to our preferred positions with a single press of a button. DH will take over the secondary setting if we use my vehicle on a road trip.

Hmm I don’t drive much anymore, but I do appreciate the bells and whistles in my DH’s car, as long as I remember to undo the automated engine off when we stop feature. That drives (no pun intended) me crazy! There have been a couple of times when I’ve been very grateful for the brake assistance.

I still dream about the Lobster Mac n cheese add-on I had at either le Cellier or Tiffins a few years ago Or maybe it was both. So good!!

I like the high beam feature as well. No more getting flashed by the other drivers, you know what I mean
Is the adaptive cruise control the same as the radar cruise control like I have? It will automatically slow you down if the car in front of you is going slower and then picks up sped when you get around them.

I have the same standing order when it comes to my Yeti tumblers. Nothing more frustrating when leaving for work and I can't find a tumbler. Just have to look on the floorboards in the kids cars.

I test drove a few cars with this feature and have to agree with you, it is very strange.

My standard headlights are so bright that I still get flashed. I’m tempted to flash back, but I’m afraid of really blinding them.

Yes, adaptive sounds like your radar. I will disengage it for a bit if traffic is thick. It usually leaves enough space that I start getting cut off if traffic is trying to move past trucks and other slow moving vehicles.

Rain activated windshield wipers. I can just leave it on intermittent and never have to think about it.

Mine get super sensitive at the strangest times. Sometimes dust will set them off. Last week, bugs hitting the windshield kept triggering them. Nothing like smeared bugs during interstate driving. I think they’re possessed.

I agree I love the automatic highbeams and I also get beamed all the time with just my regular headlights and I just snicker yeah they’re bright !!! It’s a great feature !!

I’m very grateful that I’m at a point that I can afford to purchase a car that has all these awesome features because I remember a time when I was driving a car that probably should’ve went to the junk yard instead of me going there to get parts for the car! and I also remember being so excited the first time we could afford to get a truck with air-conditioning!!! And then I remember the first time I bought my SUV with four-wheel-drive to deal with that dreaded awful stuff I love so much And finally I remember being so excited when they made cars with automatic windows automatic doors and five way seats in a steering wheel that was adjustable both up and down and in and out no they could just do something about those seatbelt being short it’s not fun

Our EV6 I thought I had it on simple cruise control. Nope, it was on driver assist mode and unexpectantly exited the I15 at Razor RD at 70 MPH. Terrifying.
Didn't order super cruise on the new vehicle.
I'll do the driving.

Early EV6 you put in on driver assist first that automatically lane centers, passes, keeps distance, controls speed, then click it to cruise control only turning off the driver assist. Goofy system.

Happy Monday Everyone!

#1 - Pie Spatula - With pie season for us coming soon (we only eat pie this time of year), a pie spatula is very handy.

#2 - Piece of Pie - To be put on my plate with the pie spatula . I do love pie, especially my mom’s chocolate cream pie, that she makes every Thanksgiving.

#3 - Hangers - I have so many hangers, they have a way of multiplying like rabbits - LOL!

Triangles-
The new tripod standing lamp we added thanks to my decorator friend who found it, one of my fav things we bought for our new house.

The pyramid in the courtyard of the Louvre that we visited last year, not technically a triangle but multiple triangles on each side.

The 2 smallish LED twinkling trees in our living room that I decorated last Christmas with coastal ornaments that ended up staying up all year. Makes decorating so much easier this year, lol.

I do that too! I'm grateful that I can turn it off. A number of makes/models don't give you that option. I can't help but wonder if it adds to added wear and tear on things like the transmission.

The Cone of Uncertainty - It's not a triangle I really like, but it's one anyone in a hurricane prone region looks to when determining whether or not we need to stay alert on a developing storm system. I still cannot believe it's 11/4 and I'm following a cone. I've known about the potential for over a week and a half and it hasn't even been named yet, but I guess at least I have time to game plan. That's something I'm quickly appreciating now that DD18 is in Tornado Alley and I'm in weather panic mode with little warning.

Pies - From traditional sweet pies to pizza pies and quiche.

Trivial Pursuit - Who didn't play and love winning a question and getting a triangular piece to add into your game pawn?

My hangers their the space saving kind not sure if they save space but I like them!! no wire hangers for me
Pizza - although the famous pizza known for my area is cut in squares but all the other pizzas around here are cut in triangles
Every time I hear the word triangle I think of that dreaded geometry I had to take in high school it’s the one class I hated the most - I had my sister do my homework because I just couldn’t get it and she’s a math wiz - unfortunately I had to take the test really drove my teacher nuts then I would make A on the homework and failed the test he never did figure out that was happening you think he would since me and my sister we’re in the same grade but nope!! thank God back then your report card came computer printed so it was like a carbon page above it let’s just say it was really easy to change your grade before your parents seen it- it’s not hard to make a D look like a B

I don't think they even thought to check. They certainly didn't notice in their test drive. In fact, I don't think she noticed until it started to get hot outside and the a/c cutting off with the engine idle made it noticeable.

Triangular things . . .

Arrows . . . Pointing the way on road signs, indicating which side of a box should be up or which end should be opened first. Very handy thing, arrows.

I have to agree with pie, whether pizza pie or dessert pie. Pie is good!
