Three foods . . .
I am grateful for peanut butter. I often have a PB&J for dinner if I don’t feel like cooking. It is my number one hurricane food as well, since it requires no refrigeration or cooking. I always have two or three jars in the pantry.
I am grateful for frozen food. I buy frozen vegetables a lot because it’s difficult to buy and use fresh produce when cooking for one, and I am not fond of the texture of most canned veggies. I buy meat in bulk to save money and freeze it in individual portions for easy cooking. And of course frozen desserts like ice cream and thaw-and-eat pies and cakes are good as well. I would have a much more boring diet if I couldn’t have frozen food.
I am grateful for pizza. While I enjoy Italian food in general, pizza is my favorite. Whether it’s a pie from a local restaurant or one from the freezer, it’s always a treat. With all the various toppings available, it’s rarely the same meal twice. I also like breakfast and dessert pizzas.
