Healthy things:
Definitely seafood and fish. Ever since I had bariatric surgery (eight years ago, hardly seems possible), fish and seafood are the easiest for me to digest. Good thing I've always been a seafood lover!
Good relationships with family. I never would have realized how detrimental a poor relationship could be, until things fell apart with DH's siblings. I cherish the relationships we have with my family members, AND the relationships we still have with his nieces and nephews. Having DD/SIL/Resident8YearOld living with us the past 2.5 years has been stressful at times, but overall wonderful for everyone's mental health, and I'll miss them when they are gone. (They close on their new house TODAY!!)
Go to the gym regularly- which I do not do anymore. I have become a frenzied couch potato since DD and her family moved in. Until then, I was pretty regular about going to the gym and riding the exercise bike and read for an hour on M/W/F mornings. It's what fit my schedule and while I wasn't becoming an athlete, I was getting stronger. THEN I became a mom/grandma again and took over the getting-to-elementary-school morning routine so SIL could get to work early (so he could pick up the kid in the afternoon). That shot my exercise time out the window, and I'm too tired/lazy to go to the gym after work (and it's filled with sweaty undergrads who are there as much to be seen as to work out- not my vibe). I am hoping to get back to the gym in September.
