I'm getting there. Still having some pain issues, but mostly at night and mostly muscle/spasm related and not the knee/incision itself. Last evening DH and I walked into town and back, 0.2mi round trip. I took both crutches due to uneven footing, sand/pebbles, etc., seemed safer/smarter. It took about 15 minutes. I'm not going to win any races, but it's a start. Plan is to walk in the morning and again in the evening. It's hotter than heck here (upper 80s, humidity in the low 70s, and no a/c) so it makes sense to walk when it's cooler. It was SO NICE to get out of the house yesterday; first time since 6/21!

Numbers - sounds like a lot of us are numbers nerds!

1. My job - I'm also an accountant so I work with numbers all day and love it (most days)!

2. Numbers games - many have been mentioned - nerdle, rummy, rumikub, - we also play nerts (cards game) and I love doing sudoku puzzles

3. Mint.com - I use it to check all transactions that hit our financial accounts. I also follow the credit card thread, so have multiple cards and am always switching which card I use. Mint makes it easier to make sure I recognize all charges and makes it easy to track our spending.

The bit of trim inside the mudroom that has all the markings of how tall my kids were as they grew, feet, inches and dates.
My kids sports jerseys, I never knew what I was looking at but loved picking them out by number and watching.
An old school radio with all the stations written on it so you knew where to pause, also old TV dials and phones.

Slushies- It's been stupidly hot this week and we don't have a/c. DH brought me a root beer slushie two nights ago which pretty much saved my life!

Slippers- although mine are more like knitted socks with grippy things on the bottom. They are cozy and comforting, and the little hedgehog face on them makes me smile.

We rented a modernized 18th century cabin for a trip in a few weeks...until I realized it only had a window unit. I'd melt so we canceled.

Slippers! How I love n cooler weather my warm bootie slippers that absolutely bring me extra comfort and warmth. I never had a Slip n Slide but have heard that such things years ago were fun for some kiddos who did--I sure hope so, anyway

Slogans can often be both faith bringing and fun, too.

Thinking of Grand Slam home runs and yes of the Grand Slam pancake combo at Denny's!

SL - this one is no Slam-dunk reply - no slapdash answer and move on - I can’t say I’m grateful I sleepwalk as that’s dangerous - or I am often sleepless -
I will agree SLO -she’s a wonderful person and I’m very grateful to be able to call her my friend she means a lot to me !!!
Sliders - I am grateful for tiny burgers ! I don’t eat a lot so I like tiny food

Slushy Drinks - LOVE a slushier drink - with it without alcohol - matter of fact I like it so much that I decided I would share it with my kitchen, cabinets and floor - I dropped my cup full of one yesterday. It went everywhere. I will be cleaning it for a third time today because it’s still sticky- as you all may remember I have a margarita maker so I can make myself slushy drinks!!!
