Going to Disney in may, for three nights...flying in from NY.
I am going no matter what, but have only gone for 7-8 days a t a time.
I am not going to want to leave!! :scared1:

I couldn't do this. There's so much money involved in the travel aspect to visit for 3 nights, you no sooner get there and it's time to leave, especially if you arrive late and leave early. Hardly time to unpack, live out of your suitcase. We found our stays more enjoyable too, staying 9-12 nights. We go by train, from Ohio, and it runs us 450-475.00 round trip for 2, so popping down for 3 nights isn't cost effective at all. No matter what, have a great time and don't run yourself ragged.

Yes, Pepe this is true, but a little Disney is better than no Disney so if it's all you can do than I say go for it! Just go knowing you can't see everything so you won't be disappointed!

We are only staying for 3 nights in February. With our budget, we had the option to stay 5 nights at a Value resort or 3 nights at a Deluxe. We chose the latter. We have done Values on our other two trips and decided to try something new. It's all what you make it. We are going to relax and spend 2 days in the parks. So, as long as you aren't trying to jam a week long vacation into 4 or 5 days, you'll be fine. Have a magical time!

I would have chosen the 5 nights. More time at Disney World=More Gooder

For me, three nights would be enough to do my "must do" Disney activities (though not everything I'd want to do), though of course more time at Disney is better! You'll have a great time.

Well, you sound like a veteran (meaning you've gone a few times before) so you can make it work with 3 days! I did a long weekend over the labor day weekend and it was only 4 nights and it was one of the best trips ever! I planned everything to include all of my favorite things, so it was like a best of the world tour. With a little advance planning you can set everything up in advance, then just enjoy while you are there. Have fun!!!

We are scheduled for just 3 nights at Bay Lake Towers in January at the sale price of just $225/night for a lake view room. We go once a year or so, so this is about right for us. We have some airtran credits to use so the flight will even be cheap. Flying from ATL we can be down there by noon the day we arrive, and can leave later in the day on our departure day, so you get about 3 full days for parks. Staying so close to MK eliminates wasted time on buses and car rentals are dirt cheap this time of year, just $100 for 4 days including fees. So even less wasted time getting to the parks. Compared to a week in peak season, fighting crowds, waiting for buses and meals, standing in lines, you probably see/do nearly as much in 3 days this time of year (midweek, also).

Much more than than and I start to get a little homesick and eager to catch up on things at home anyway.

We often do 3 night trips. We use them to augment longer trips every 4 or 5 years. We shop around & find cheaper airfare & pick our weekends carefully to go weekends when the crowds are low.

We choose 1 or 2 parks to focus on, don't try to do all 4. Use some other time to maybe explore the resort, do a nice dinner or explore DTD. We've definately learned commando style doesn't work for us on the short weekends. Just take is slow, hit the few things that are "must-dos" and enjoy the magic of the mouse.

As someone else said, consider a delux resort. We splurge & stay at a delux resort, something we couldn't afford to do on a longer trip but something we can swing for just a few nights, esp. if we get a nice PIN code.

I would say go for it and enjoy the weekend!
