Sure, leave now that I can get on here. I would have been here sooner but I was busy ordering tickets for the Richard Petty Ride Along for DH to do when we go on vacation.
Bopsmom-DD is into all that arts & crafts stuff. She's quite good too. Doesn't get it from me.Just yesterday, she was measuring the little ones because she wants to try to make them new pajamas.
, that's how I ended up losing 3 yards of pink "pleather" that I was going to make her a "mod Barbie" costume from. Dang, I lose so many good yard goods when DD gets the "design" bug.
I have 2 sewing machines and was going to put her in sewing class this summer but she played tennis instead. She knows touching my "good scissors" or my good machine will cause loss of limbs. Bless her heart, she once made a doll dress and was too afraid to sew it so she used staples for the seams. I guess that's what I get for getting her sewing cards when she was a toddler and those felt sewing craft kits. At least she didn't want to be a hair stylist.
I see somebody left M&N home alone again!! Who was supposed to be watching her? Now we will never get this "house" cleaned up.![]()

Pepper---have you heard from Kim?
pepper-I don't see any "whining" going on. I only see you venting and blowing of some steam. You have to or you'll just explode. And you know you can come here and vent anytime you need to. My brother takes it much harder than I do. Not that I'm not affected or anything but he is very emotional. I have my good cry for a while and then I go into the "ok, what do we have to do to beat this" mode. I have to pro-active to what is going on in order to deal with it.
I am in such a better place today. Funny, I never realized how much the family goes through too (not taking away from the actual patients). I mean I sympathized but I never "got it"; you know, like the people at work that actually went to the 5K runs and various other fundraisers instead of just throwing 50 bucks in the 'kitty'. Now I truly get it and you bet your bippy I will be at the next fundraiser I hear about. I've been having sore shoulder and arm too. I knew it was from being her too much but what can I do? I do have a mouse pad that has a bump on it to rest your wrist. I lowered my chair too so my arm's flatter.
And those late fees are not cheap. I have most of my bills taken out automatically. My checkbook's messie but it does help me not mess up as many bills. Sometimes I just plum forget to mail them. Now I have a system. I clip them to the curtain when they are ready to be mailed on my door going into the garage. I see them on the way out of the house...hopefully!
I was going to say you were following the be prepared motto but you called yourself a Girl Scout later so I'll just say you've got it together.
You are allowed to have debbie downer moments...you have great concerns now. If you knew what was what, it would be easier to deal with. When drs are uncertain, how are we to feel? Just keep thinking that they want to treat him correctly and want to make sure what they are doing will have the best possible outcome.![]()

Racetrack18kb,
DD got her letter today. She was sooooo excited and wrote back immediately. She put one in the mail tonight to ya'll so tell your DD to keep an eye out.![]()
I'll tell her tomorrow. She's sound asleep already (guess she doesn't take after me in that department) DD is excited about this too. When she wrote her letter, I didn't have any stamps. Since my dad happens to be a mail carrier, she walked his route to find him so he could take care of it for her.

) are pen pals. Even cooler that they are actually writing on paper! So rare these days and so refreshing!Trying to squeeze in a quick Good Morning to everyone! Bopsmom, you take care of everything and keep safe.
I love the idea of pen pals amongst the Jr. TKers. I agree, the art of a good letter is totally lost. My gf in Scotland and I write letters to each other. Its just nice to have something to look forward to in the mailbox! And I love the idea of holding a letter in my hands that was in her hands just a few days ago. I have a box of our letters and I absolutley love it---some of these letters date back to our high school days!
I think its so important to introduce a variety of music into kids life. Listening to a lot of stuff on the radio today, it just reminds me so much of stuff I used to listen too all those years ago. Its a cycle.
I remember Sha-Na-Na too. I used to watch their show on tv. I'm a big Motown girl myself. Never got too much into Hippie Rock, but did love the soft rock of the 70's and I'm not ashamed to say I love Disco and 80's punk/alternative scene! I've actually been trading music with my nephew before he goes to college. He thinks Heart is amazing, loves David Bowie and the Cure. I don't think there's enough time to give him all the "good" music of my youth.
Ack! I'm taking the twins to college in a few weeks. I'm not ready!
Ok, I'll be back later. Happy Tuesday everyone!
Morning All,
Haven't checked in for a while. Been enjoying the summer.![]()

M&N - Sorry you can't boo 24 & 48 anymore. It's soooo much fun. :
Lighttech- we'll forgive you if you don't check in for a while, under one condition.... someone must check in right after baby Lighttech is born to at least give us his stats and name. You'll drive us crazy for a month if someone doesn't share that much with us.![]()

Is he doing it at Disney or Daytona?Bless her heart, she once made a doll dress and was too afraid to sew it so she used staples for the seams. I thought it was your turn?!?!

Maybe next year.M&N-He going to do the ride-along at Disney. I thought of trying for Daytona even though it is more money. But they don't do any type of program during November.Maybe next year.
I hope you get to Daytona though.
How old are your kids? 14, 12, 7, 5? I know you said the youngest was waiting til next year for kdg. (I never went!) Are they considering all day kdg in your schools? They are changing our schools when they build a new one for gr 3-6. By they they figure there will be all day kdg. I'm not sure many will be ready for that.
OOOOHHHHH! I found just Pepper on the Nekkid thread!![]()

Not much info but still scary. We've been there a couple of times but we have never felt unsafe up there. Some rowdy people and many who have drank too much. Just not something I thought I would be reading about a race.
