Ok, first Tony. I think if he was staying at Gibbs, he would not have gotten out of the car. Seriously, he's won a road course race after having an "accident" inside the car. I know he wants to win and everything but it seems like he's been sicker before and still drove. I think right now, his priority is where he's going to race next year instead of what is going on this year.

I used to like Martin. He's an old-school racer...races you the way you race him. I know I'm totally biased in this thought but it seems like now, when Rusty decided to retire, Martin couldn't handle the attention paid to Rusty. Martin decided to retire even though he really wasn't ready. I don't have much hope for him winning he championship in the Hendrick car. I don't see any of the other guys giving anything up to help him. He'll make the chase but that's it.

I was against Martin too. But I did hear him interviewed this week. He had to get permission from his wife to race full time next year. His son's not into racing like he was before. I think he was going to devote more time to his family. I really don't see why Hendrix think they need him. I cannot see him winning just because he's there. But maybe lots said the same about Jr. I think he loves racing and wants back in full time. He feels the 'need...' I'm not rooting for him.

Actually, I think Jr. made a smart move going to Hendrick. I don't hold much faith in Theresa running DEI as a race team. To me, it seems like a money-making opportunity for her. Cash in on Sr's name. Jr. has a better chance of winning the championship where he is now....if only Jeffie and Jimmie will stop whining enough to let him.

I know Jr made the smart move to go. I think Truex is going too. I think Jimmy is whining but Jeffie just cares about his baby now. AND don't forget who is in 2nd place in the points. He's got some racing to do to overcome those 1st place bonus points Kyle has once the chase starts.

I think Truex is outta there too. I don't have much faith in DEI staying a powerhouse in NASCAR. I see them kind of like Yates and Ganassi. Still there but not too competitive. I know what you mean about Jeffie (and why does everyone call him Jeffie ) No talk of the "Drive for Five" Can't blame him though. What I can't understand is you hear about all these guys having their own race teams but I haven't heard much about either Jeffie or Jimmie having their own. Have you heard anything if they do?

I started 'Jeffie' when he was a little twerp who just came up. It just stuck. He owns part of Johnson's car I think with Hendricks. Maybe a Sprint car too? I think DEI is not as strong as they once were and is going downhill unless she spends more money on it and it doesn't look like she is. They went in with Childress on their engines I think. It's getting harder with the economy. Did you notice a lot of empty seats in Daytona?

Pikester: I am surprised how many do refer to him as Jeffie. Not on tv though. My friend who likes him calls him that or 'my son' because he's her son's age and she would like to adopt him--not for his money either.

Just dropping by... seems like the usual these days.

Apparently we have another mouse. We live in the woods and by a big ol' field, so I expect to have a few, but this year it seems out of control. (Not like we are infested, or anything... knock wood... but we catch one, have a few free weeks and we seem to have another one.) Anyway, seems like the little vermin had a hey-day while we were out of town this weekend. Made quite a mess, so I need to hit the floors w/ some serious cleaning once DS goes down for nap. (Still sick, poor little guy, so hoping he'll take a good one today.) Unfortunately, I've been putting the floors off for a while, so now that I need to do it, its gonna be a long process.

Didn't multi, but here's a few...

D&D - I do like my meat too. So does he, that's why I'm . But, DH has always been one to make decisions on a dime, so I suppose I should expect it by now.

Can't remember who said if we should take bets on how long, but feel free. W/ anyone else who likes meat as much as he does, I'd give it a week, but DH is impulsive AND stubborn... quite a combination.

As far as packing... I've NEVER understood it! I had to work the day that we were leaving for the weekend, so I had everything packed and ready to go for me and DS. And, I left a very uncomplicated list of like 4 things DH had to do. (Grab the pillows, water the plants... etc.) Then, all he had to do was pack for himself, and it was only 2 days away, so I knew he'd throw some stuff in his backpack and that would be that. Somehow, he was off from work all day, had next to nothing to do, and we still left 40 minutes late! I rushed home from work, and the plan was for me to jump into his already packed car and leave, and I found him still packing! Not a big deal, but definitely different...

Ok, gotta start being good Mom and stop letting tv babysit DS. (He got treated to a show w/ his lunch while I unpacked groceries, and he's totally zoned out on it now... it would be so easy to just keep typing... )

lighttech - Don't worry about TV babysitting from time to time. We all do it. Heck, when he's older you'll graduate from TV to video games . How have you been feeling? Are you in the home stretch yet??

Afternoon, everyone. Its humid and hazy here too. The kind of weather that makes it kinda hard to breathe, the air is so thick.

I'm waiting to hear back from my travel agent. It seems they're cutting JetBlue service out of my local airport and the flight info has changed. It'll be a struggle to get to the airport for an early flight, but at least I'll arrive in Orlando earlier than planned. So, I wanted to add another day to the park tickets. I'm not sure if we'll actually go, but for two dollars more, I can risk it. Its also DHS EMH that night, and I'd like the chance to see Fantasmic more than once. We also haven't used Magical Express before so I'm unfamiliar with that protocol...

I did PM Magsnden a while back and I never heard from her, which makes me think that she just hasn't been on the boards. Perhaps her summer has been quite busy with the little ones and the souvenir on the way. Let's just think really really hard about her and maybe she'll show up again. Magsnden, if you're reading, we miss you!

Thanks for the compliments on the hair and dress. The dress was remarkably comfy, but the hair was heavy!

M&N...I'm going to check out those books too. I just ordered from Borders online (I didn't even know they had a website!) and they have free shipping over $25 too! I pre-ordered the new Stephenie Myers book, the fourth in her vampire series, due out in August! Yeah!

Ooh, I just checked out those books. Do the drivers really look that yummy? If so, I'm going to start watching NASCAR ASAP!
