You know I cannot keep things straight but wasn't somebody doing surfing lessons? But where? I just saw a post that said surfing lessons at TL were suspended for a time??? They said it's because there are cracks in the wave pool and so they have to tone down the waves till they're repaired during the winter refurb. I don't know if that's true, though. That was Shmu. She got her DS surfing lessons for his birthday (?). I wonder if she had seen that? She goes in Sept. so that will probably affect her. If she doesn't check in in a couple of days, we should pm her just to make sure.

I saw that too so I didn't feel so alone in my problems. I just decided to skip shopping there. From what I read too, they also raised their prices before the 40% off code. And maybe, someone is just trying to tell me to save my money.

I went to Jayski's and emailed my friend some of the articles. I think she is definitely the wicked stepmother and Dale Sr would not have allowed DEI to go downhill. Someone wrote Jr was just after the money and was selfish to leave. Mark Martin certainly didn't have much to say about leaving DEI. It sounds like they may have all new drivers if there's a DEI next year. Things are certainly getting interesting.

I can't believe what is happening with DEI. You know how everyone always talks about "What would Walt do", I can't even imagine what Sr would be doing in this situation. I do suspect Jr. never would have left though. I don't like Theresa and (excuse my language) but she comes across as a b****h. I don't "like" Jr but I think he had to leave. I hate to say, but it kinda looks like DEI may become another Yates or Ganassi. Still a well-known name but not one of the top names.

I'm posting this in red to get everyone's attention. M&N brought up Magsnden not checking in and I went through and checked for her last post. It was on 6/3. MagiKitty mentioned that she sent a pm to her and never heard back. She hasn't checked the boards. I'm a worrier by nature...can't get past that no matter how hard I try. I miss her around here and hope all is well with her and her family and the little one to come. If everyone is in agreement, I can email her (got her email address a little while ago) and just check that all is well. I'll wait until Monday for everyone to give their opinion on this.

And just in case anyone is wondering about disney54us, she is fine but very busy. I email her about once per week to keep in touch. She's missed so much and worries about catching up. I tell her not to worry about it but it's a work in progress.

Good Morning everyone! It's going to be another hot one here today in NH. I love the warm weather but hate the humidity! Kids have their art class today. The class is held at our town's Library Art Center and started on Monday. It's from 10am to 12pm for 4 days so, this is the 3rd day. They are making robots out of recycled cardboard. Last year DS10 made R2D2. It was really good! I couldn't believe all the detail he remembered from looking at it in the book at home and then working on it in class. This year he decided to make his version of a Bounty Hunter. DS7 is making C3PO. Can you tell they like Star Wars? Oh, and we like the real Star Wars #s 4,5,6 not 1,2 and 3.

I wanted to mention that I finally got around to buying songs for my Ipod from itunes. That was so easy! I can see where you would have to be careful or you could spend $20 without even realizing it! My kids gave me a Gift Certificate for my Bday to go along with the new ipod so I've been spending that.

Well, better head. Got to get everyone ready for the day.

And I also agree that this second doctor is taking a more encompassing approach, he wants to inform himself best of your father's situation and then figure out the best course of action. Your family is in my prayers too!

M&N...I'm STILL afraid of the characters. I actually prefer my characters not to talk. For me, its just that you don't know who is inside the big-headed ones. I also don't like sports mascots for the same reason. But I'll take pics with them anyway! I just have to swallow my fear a little.

Racetrack, I think its a wonderful idea to email Magsnden. I think just a friendly "how-do?" and we've been thinking about you would be perfect. Everyone loves to get a real email once in a while and not some sort of advertisment. I'm on board!

My kids are big lego freaks! DS10 likes to put the sets together and display them. He does play with them but then it's right back on the shelf. DS7 wants them but they end up strewn from one end of the house to the other. What DS7 really wants are the minifigs. I wish I could just order those by themselves.(I know ebay sells them but the prices on some of them are outrageous because they are collectors items.) DH is always saying "We don't need anymore legos!" when the kids whine to buy more. We have alot of Star Wars and we've just started getting the Indiana Jones sets.

Have you been to DTD and seen the huge lego yoda? That was so cool! Unfortunatly the kids missed seeing it because I went to DTD with my Mom and we never got the chance to get back there with the kids. I hope he's still there so the kids can see him this time. DS10 is saving some money so he can buy legos at Disney. I'm sure DS7 will get some too; that and the build your own light saber.

If your boys are into Star Wars lego, then I would totally check out their clearance! They have some decently priced stuff on there too. I'm a huge fan of Legos, but terrible inept and untalented at it. I didn't see the giant Yoda there at DTD, I just may have to pen that into my schedule!

You may also want to check out a website called ThinkGeek.com. They have some mega-clearance stuff (can you tell that CLEARANCE is my favorite word in the English language?!), and there's Star Wars stuff there too. I've been eyeing a Lightsaber desk lamp for a few days now...there's also a Yoda backpack that makes it looks like you're carrying Yoda like Luke did in Empire.

I didn't manage to get the Princess Leia Potato Head last year and I'm hoping I'll get lucky this time! I did get Artoo Potatoo and he is just so funny....

Hi everyone! I'm back from being in an unairconditioned box in 90-100 degree weather.

I've been back for a few days. I left my DH and DD alone in the house for 2 weeks, so it's taken me awhile to bring back the house to a livable condition.

I see it will take me awhile to catch up with everything as I was on pg 69 and you all are on pg 113!

Pikester-I agree 100% about Jen. I think she purposely tried to mess things up. I know you have to be confident but come on. And she absulutely showed she is not a team player. Matt just scares me.

Totally agree about Jen (and Matt). Honestly, I was torn about who I wanted to win. I like them both a lot. And I'm glad that those were the final 2. I was suprised at who won though. I thought it would be the other. I have a feeling the other one may find his/her way into one of Ramsay's other kitchen's anyway though...

Speaking of Ramsay, I know someone on here mentioned thinking he was sexy. I had never thought that before, but when he actually lowered his voice to explain how hard of a choice this was and told the two finalists how proud he was... Must admit that accent sounds a lot sexier w/o all the attitude.

After reading other threads, I have 2 question for those of you who have taken their little ones to WDW.
Did they ever ask why Mickey didn't talk to them?
Were any scared of the costumes?

DS was almost 3 when we went in the fall. He wasn't afraid of anyone except the "bad guys." He wouldn't go near Capt. Hook or Mr. Smee. We explained that he didn't have to see anyone he didn't want to, and that all the rides, etc. were pretend so he could just close his eyes if he didn't like it. (He was fascinated, but a little afraid of Pirates, and was definitely a little scared of Haunted Mansion.) He did ask why they didn't talk, but was pretty satisfied w/ "they just don't. They use their hands to talk to you instead." (This is how we explained it to him before we went. Once we were there, he was so excited and amazed to see them, I don't think he even noticed.)

I think its a nice idea, even if just to say "don't write back, we know you are busy, but we wanted to tell you we were thinking of you." We could send you a little 1 or 2 line note each if you want, and then it could be like a little virtual card from all of us... But, if you think just a short e-mail would be better than that's fine too.

Running a fireworks stand was different but I don't think I'll do that again. Totally boring for the first week and a half then busy on the third and insane on the fourth. I've never understood why people wait to the last minute to do things. By mid day on the fourth I was running out of items.

NASCAR news: Tont Stewart will not be with Gibbs next year. Office Depot will still be his sponsor. He's going with Haas CNC Racing and he will be part owner too. They said Ryan Newman will also be going. They said that this will make Stewart the highest-paid driver in NASCAR. Stewart's agreement with Gibbs is that he will not attempt to hire away any members of his current team. This was a significant key to making the deal happen because Gibbs wants to put Joey Logano in the Cup Series and put him with Greg Zipadelli's established, experienced crew. Scott Riggs and Johnny Sauter are the drivers for Hass now. (Could Zippy just leave? I just cannot see Tony without him)
