Hey ya'll!

I came to check in on the killas. Seems like everyone's been busy today, but now everyone is gone. Oh well, I hope everyone had a good day. We spent the afternoon in the doctor's office. DS has a raging ear infection. He's the sweetest baby boy and I feel so bad for him. Hopefully, he'll be better in a day or two. Say a little prayer for little Rhett please.

My princess has a pretty bad cold, too. and now my little man is starting to get it. i feel so bad for them, it's so hard on them. i know it's bad when my DD tells me she wants a nap - that never happens. poor things. i hope yours feels better too, i'll say a prayer for him. what a great name, rhett, btw.

So darn cold this morning! Have lots of last minute things to do--have to go to the bank, I need money! And cat food. Already my kitty babies are starting to know something is going on, very clingy, very 'what are you doing Mom?'. Leaving them is the hardest part.

I am one of those psychos who fully embraces the holidays ASAP. I've found the Christmas music channel on XM. I already have a tiny tree sitting on my desk (I love my Dollar Store). We usually put up the tree on my birthday, the second week of December. We have dinner, put on the holiday music, and put the tree, lights, and stockings up. Of course, I spend every evening picking up all the stuff off the tree once the kitties get into it!

it's the same with kitties as kids!! one year we put one of the kids' gates around the tree to keep them away! all the cats we had growing up LOVED to sleep and hangout under the tree. Then when the presents were under it they loved eating the ribbons. They'd always throw it up, but that didn't stop them!!

we always get a real tree, so we have to wait until at least the 2nd week to get one. I can't wait! We'll be home from WDW on december 1st, all ready for christmas and we'll have to wait . i plan on getting a bunch of ornaments in DTD.

Just thought id check up on all of you to make sure we are still on a roll

We normally put our tree up at the beginning of December, but as we are not here for christmas and new year we will just be putting the lights up at the window.

Our prelit tree was chucked in the trash after last christmas as the darn lights would not stay on and the bulb kept blowing.

In our mall we had santa in Macy's before halloween!!! Talk about confusing kids!!!

I work at QVC, in the studio (you know one of the tv shopping networks) and we start on July 25th with a "Christmas in July" special. Then every month on the 25th up until about October when some of our sets are permanently "Christmasized." I've been listening to Christmas songs and seeing decorations for 4 months now. Talk about confused!

Its a good thing I LOVE the holidays... otherwise I'd lose what little I have left of a mind.

I was a long time lurker until a few months ago...in the time since, I've worked my way up to Mouseketeer (yeah!). I've answered some questions, offered suggestions, yet whenever I seem to have a question or start a new thread, I go unanswered! This has happened at least a dozen times...have I been blacklisted or something? Am I the unofficial thread killer?

Trust me, prelits have thier drama too haha. If you lose the little letters off of the cords in the tree it is hard to get them right again and the tree won't light. I was ready to throw the thing out last year..Lucky for me DD is smarter that me haha.

I have been lurking and I really like this thread. Can anyone play? I've posted questions on the planning site that never got answered. Heck, I even emailed TGM twice and still haven't gotten a reply. Do I qualify?

Amen on losing the letters off the cords. Last year, we finally figured out the right arrangement and when it worked I took a paint pen and wrote on the plugs "1a1b,2a2b etc." hopefully this will help next week when I drag it out again.

Regarding the kitties eating ribbons. I have one that likes tinsel(no, it does not come out as glitter) Tinsel had to be banned from this house as well as plastic Easter "grass".
One of my cats(rest her little kitty soul) liked to un-decorate the tree. She would "pop" the ornaments from below, it would unhook off the limb and she would play hockey with it by "scoring" a goal when it hit the brick hearth and shattered. I lost a LOT of good ornaments one year.

I love the holi-daze and hope next year to be spending them at WDW.

Boy this is my most favorite thread ever. Welcome to all the new friends, we're so glad to meet fellow sufferers of TK syndrome.

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers for my little man. We lost several hours of sleep last night, but I think he's doing better this morning.

Magsnden- my DD is exactly the same, when she takes a nap in the afternoon I know something is up. They've been passing this cold back and forth for a while now and it's getting old. Thanks for the compliment on his name, he's my little southern gentleman.

Okay, I don't feel so bad now. I have on and off over the years registered with different boards, lurked a while, posted, and..... nothing. It got very discouraging and I thought it was me. I love to laugh, but do not have the funny gene - I can never come up with stuff like the cute, funny and witty stuff you people post. But I love to read it.

This time I jumped right in and registered yesterday and started posting. Some have been answered, some I may have killed, but it is early yet!

Found this group and am feeling better about myself already. You guys are a funny and encouraging group.

Okay, I have just booked my first cruise - Disney Wonder, and first trip to WDW! I feel like a virgin.

I have been to Disneyland 5 times though, so have an inkling of what to expect.

If I worked in QVC I would go broke!!! I actually look out for those shows in JULY!!! Im crazy but I always think I should get it then and wait, then I forget I bought it!!! I too am a holiday junkie and very proud of it!!!
