Good Morning Killers! Went to a silver jewelry party at a neighbor's house last night. It's was really nice stuff and it wasn't a demo party. Everything was displayed and you get to look, try on and socialize. Lots of fun. Of course since I spent so much time on the boards yesterday it was a good thing I had that to do last night:rotfl:.

Wow Disney54us, you have been chatty today. :rotfl2:
Since you are right click challenged, I PMd you the address for the banner. Hope that helps.

:rotfl2: :guilty: So guilty, the kids were home from school and there was not much going on and I just kinda of dis'ed the day away. But hey I kept us up there!!

I just read at the bottom of this page "related threads". It says "The never ending pointless thread". Is that a comment on our thread? :lmao:

:rotfl2: :scared1: ,Never!!

Hi everyone!!!

Just popping in. Ack!!! Looking back I see I am an oldtime of the TK thread (Just turned 39) uggg. haha. Been doing good. FIL had his surgery on his lung and they said they got it all!!! YAY!!! Only one or two doses of Chemo to be "safe".

I started my Bally's membership again, so many new classes!! woo hoo. If any of you guys are members, you gotta try the Total Body Workout...It is CRAZY...weights first, salsa, kickboxing then Yoga....As I type my legs and arms only have one thing to say "OWWWWWIEEEE" :goodvibes

I don't know either when Magikitty gets back. I guess she is having a really good time.

It was good to "see" everyone. Have a great night.

So glad to hear the good news, and that the Drs. are optimistic:thumbsup2. I'm sure FIL is feeling a little more positive now.

AUdisfan--:bday:HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY.Did DH remember?

disney54us--thank you for the surprise.:yay: I'll stick it in my sig when I get a chance.:thumbsup2
More snow predicted here in the South. Remember though. I HATE being cold. Sounds like it's time for me to go back to WDW but my ticker in my siggie says I can't go yet.:sad1:

Enjoy! Mmm has to be a way to move that travel ticker for real:laughing:.

Hey ya'll!

Just sitting around waiting on the snow to start. I hope everyone is warm and cozy where ever you are.:)

pepper - Great news on your FIL. Big relief for your family.

shmu - Thanks. DH didn't remember until I asked him if he forgot. "Forgot what?" Looks at date on watch. "Uh- oh" Yeah, uh-oh is right buddy. He is such a doofus.

Have a great night killers!

Hey, he can make it up to you when you are in Dis shortly, I'm sure you will find plenty:rotfl:.

I guess I have seemed to kill  enough treads to at least say hi! :wave2:

:welcome: JoeEpcotRocks! Nice to meet another killer. ;)

Ummm, I think someone's being a little "wishful" when they say that we're all about the same age (mid - late 20's) ;) You must've missed my post where I said I was 47  And I know some others are in that same area :rotfl2: So actually, you're just a "young 'un" :rolleyes1

That's GREAT news about your FIL. I know it's a big relief for him and all the family. :)

Good job with the workout. I couldn't do it, but I admire those who can :worship:

It's snowing here now! Started a little later than predicted, and probably won't get much, but it's pretty. (I hate being cold too - that's why I stay inside by the fire) :cold:

It's funny how those tickers seem to go by so slowly...

:bday: That's cool that yours and your DS birthdays are close together. You'd think that would make it easier for DH to remember  I'm sorry he forgot  I never give my DH a chance to forget anything - I start mentioning/reminding a couple of weeks before each event! ;) It's like Shmu said, they're just wired differently and they need us to 'help' them remember.

Is it snowing there yet? You'll probably get more than us, which is crazy!

So, did you buy anything? If so, what was it? Inquiring minds want to know!

I went to a jewelry party on Tuesday night with my DD and DDIL. What's a demo party? I don't know if it was or not, but I bought us each something. I collect tea stuff and they had a cute silver bracelet with teacups, saucers, teapots, etc. that I got for myself. DD picked out an anklet and DDIL faux "diamond" stud earrings. It was fun to spend time together. :goodvibes

Hey TKers! Sorry I've been away from here a bit, but I'm here at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachussetts, being pampered, poked, prodded, and pushed. If you want the details, check out my WISH blog (the address is in my siggie).

That sounds so wonderful...ENJOY! :cloud9: I'll check out the WISH blog too.

We are using VideoText. Kids and I like the program.:thumbsup2

I've never heard of VideoText. I'll have to check it out.

Last night we took my MIL out to dinner for her birthday (it's today) and afterwards DD and I went to mall and bought tiaras for the PPP we're going to next Saturday! It was so fun! princess:

Today is my DS's birthday (the one at college in Orlando). Yes, he was born on his grandmother's birthday! (Okay, I had a c-section and picked the day ;) ) He's 19 on the 19th! He just called and he has class from 9 - 5 today, and then he's going out to eat with friends and to a movie at Downtown Disney. So I have to say, :bday: Kevin!

Have a great day, everyone! :goodvibes

Yes I bought 2 pairs of earings:guilty:. couldn't help myself:laughing:. Demo party where it is demonstrated (ie Tupperware), you sit and the Co. person shows you all the products and how they work.
Snow, that is the secret, a fire, some good food and a glass of wine:thumbsup2.

;)
I'll say this on the nap issue. I almost cried when DD gave up her naps. I really needed that time because she is a non-stop talker and I needed some quiet. Now she has a 45 min rest time. She lays in my bed and looks at books and usually plays, but she has to stay in the bed. This has been good because it gives me a break and she really needs some down time now that she's in preschool in the am.
Thanks for the tip. I tried the book think yesterday, and it worked beautifully! I explained to DS (who has been getting himself so hyper having too much fun in his crib at naptime) that this was "rest time" now. It was o.k. if he didn't want to sleep b/c he was getting to be a big boy, but if he didn't sleep, he had to play Quietly w/ his "friends" or read. He picked out a book, and was reading before I could even get thru his naptime song. He was so happy/content/relaxed that he fell asleep in about 5 minutes! DH is going to try it today (I'm at work) and see how it goes. :goodvibes

i like the idea of the quiet time. i'll have to try that. i NEED it!! i also have a non-stop talker. it's amazing what they know, but it can be maddening at times!

We need a Non-Stop-Talkers support group. DS sings all the time whenever he's not talking. And, he's been singing Deck the Halls since about 3 weeks before Christmas. I don't want to discourage him, but goodness I wish he'd pick a new song... :scared1:

Okay killers, check your PM's sent you all a little surprise.

THANKS!!! :dance3:

Hey ya'll!

Thanks for the surprise disney54us! The funny thing is, it actually is my birthday today! Yep, that's right, 25 again.;) The not so funny thing is, DH seems to have forgotten.:sad1: No gift, no card, no phone call. Of course, he's at work, but he could at least call. Boy is he gonna be in trouble. Any ideas on how to punish him if he totally forgets? And how does this fit in with love and logic?

Oh well, I'm going to WDW in 18 days!!!!! Woohoo!!!:woohoo:

Happy Birthday!!! (belated) 25 again, eh? Its a good age, might as well enjoy it for a few more years... ;) Hope DH makes it up to you, I bet he will! They are doofus's, but they can be pretty sweet too. Esp. when they realize they've messed up.

I guess I have seemed to kill  enough treads to at least say hi! :wave2:

WELCOME!

FIL had his surgery on his lung and they said they got it all!!! YAY!!! Only one or two doses of Chemo to be "safe".

I started my Bally's membership again, so many new classes!! .

Yea FIL!!! I'm so glad to hear everything is going well.
And, congrats on the excersizin'

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We've been unbirthday'd so we are all in that age range:

So, if we've been UNbirthday'd, does that mean we get to subtract a year? :confused3 In that case, can I get a few more of those cute little cakes? :rotfl:
I wanna be... gee, I never really thought about it. I don't really mind this age. I don't want to be a teenager again. (You couldn't PAY me enough.) But, 27 has kind of a nice ring to it! I wouldn't want to change my life, but a little more energy to deal with it would be quite helpful. :dance3:

Hello! I've been trying to join in on several threads, but I suspect that since I'm a 'noob', people are less likely to include me. Gawd, I don't want a complex! LOL Will anyone say hello and bring me into the loop?

You can subtract however much you want!!:rotfl2: Ditto on the teenager thoughts and 27 does sound nice:goodvibes.

:wave2: , your more then welcome to join in here:goodvibes. Can you tell us or me (I'm the one who sometimes is confused w/ computer savory talk or techno stuff:rotfl:) what is a 'noob'???. Nothing to bring you into the loop, we are all friendly and help each other out. If you want you can read through the early pages to see how it got started, by magikitty, currently out of the country (due back any day:yay:). Most of us read the thread and were in the same place at one time or the other. Long and behold we are still here:banana:.

I didn't, and I should. I don't think of it really, because he sings ALL the time. (In the bathtub, the car, when he's putting himself to sleep in his crib. And, he's been doing it since before he could talk... I used to sing "Good Day, Sunshine" to him when he was a baby, and he'd sway back and forth and say "Goo, Goo, Guh, Guy" in the same rhythm... :lovestruc ) Of course, I should have gotten Deck the Halls on tape before he figured out the words. The lyrics are somewhat antiquated, so he'd substitute words he thought made sense, and he was convinced that "Troll the Ancient Yuletide carol" was "Give the acorns to the camel." :rotfl: :rotfl: That had DH and I going pretty good.

"Noob" is short for 'Newbie'.

I did go back a few pages (thanks for the tip!) and was it you who said something about taking classes at the Apple store? Do you have a Mac? I do!

And whoever said their loved one sang "Deck the Halls" a few weeks early...? That made me laugh, because I always get into trouble for busting out with "Oh Christmas Tree" or some such thing in July and August...!

Love it, but like I posted earlier I am not computer what you would call savy??:rotfl:, so even when my fellow killer's have tried to help, it's instructions for microsoft. I always have to say I don't have a right click:rotfl:. DL55, has sent some info she asked Her DD who used Mac in college art classes. Going to try after all these months, getting the thread Killer's siggie, into my siggie!

Therinian :welcome: OH boy another Mac user, maybe you could help poor old disney54us
lighttech "Give the acorns to the camel." :rotfl2:

i'm trying to catch up but......

give the acorns to the camel!! that is the funniest thing i ever heard!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

sounds like my daughter who just figured out the words to "take me out to the ballgame". for the longest time it was "fruit, fruit, fruit for the home team." we'll always laugh about that. right now she has some inventive words to jingle bells. i've tried to figure it out, but i'm pretty sure it's not english!

thanks for the laugh, lighttech. and so happy to hear that "quiet time" worked out so well for you! asleep in 5 minutes! now that's quiet!

Therinian :welcome: OH boy another Mac user, maybe you could help poor old disney54us
