i'm not really on here today. too much cleaning to do. yuck. i guess that's what happens when you dis instead of doing what you should!

He everyone, well did our 2 hours in Wegmans, , Just love that place and you know it takes time to sample everything. Nothing going on hear, trying to clean slowly since tomorrow the kids are off. It's not like oh, Mon need this done and this done. So I guess, that means I'm being semi lazy today.

i wish we had a wegman's. i went to one upstate once. the BEST!

Thanks for the congrats about the working out. I wish I could say it is because I am SOOOOOO motivated...That would be a lie haha. It is actually a bet I have with DH. I reach my goal, he agrees to YET ANOTHER Disney trip. haha. Funny, he didn't seem to care too much about my weight, and I am the one that came up with the terms of the bet (he gets nothing lol), yet he agreed to it...I think he is a closet Disney lover cause every time I think about skipping a workout he starts singing the Mickey Mouse Club song.

We've been unbirthday'd so we are all in that age range. .

I am officially 25 today!!!

Careful with all that cake. See above? I just cut off 14 years with one "slice" All the cake is what landed me in the Total Body Workout Class in the first place ha ha ha. I have to admit though I am meeting some fun people.

Wegman's are great, don't give up they are fairly new here too. The first opened in the area about 2 years or more, then the one close to me about a year +, so keep the faith.

Wow, miss a day, miss a lot! Singing kids, new members, people leaving for Disney, people working out, 100 pages, prayers answered...what more could one ask for.
So much to comment on, but can't do it all.

Must welcome Therinian! Glad you could join us. We are not noob snobs unlike other theads. We accept all types of killers and lockers.

Well the temps here have not gone above 10. Nights are -20 w/ wind chill. I like that idea of a nice fire in the 'ol fireplace and glass of wine. Anything to try to warm up.

DB thinks that everytime I watch his beloved Giants play, I put a curse on them and they lose. So I was the good sister and only listened to the game and tried to only send out good vibes for his team.

Nadda, They say that when they did the 'upgrade' (sorry, I know that was ), that it has to do with our servers basically all since we all have different ones blocking them. When I asked how that could be unless it was coming through different that so many servers would not allow them through (not even through spam/junk filters) they said it was (notifications) coming through different. They did say they were working w/servers so they could identify there notifications., and I guess it's starting to work. Hey pat me on the back, not bad for the computer , being able to know enough to ask that. Yes I can, I know can.

freezing here in ny today. we're not going to get out of the 20's!!

i packed up the kids at 7:15 to drive DH to the airport this morning. it's sad that he's gone, but it means i only have 2 more days to go until i'm on the plane to WDW!! yay!

BTW - Anybody have any good recipes that involve alcohol (that's cooked off)? DSIL is having a superbowl party and decided to have a contest for main dishes and desserts. The only rule is that the food must contain alcohol in the recipe.

I have one that uses gin? My sister just gave this to me when she was here for Christmas. Actually it would be great for a Superbowl party, very easy and you can have it made up before.

3 lb eye of round
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup gin
3 cloves minced garlic
pierce w/ large fork so marinate gets absorbed
mix the above and marinate eye of round 24-48 hrs.

Yes, eye of round is usually dry since it does not have much fat, but the marinate and how long you cook it is the key. When ready, place in roasting/or pyrex type and cook (drain most of the marinate) it is not cooked in it. Cook on 350 for a hour and 15 mins. remove and let rest. Slice very thin, either w/electric knife or meat slicer. We slice from both sides, if the middle is to pink then put that in the oven for maybe another 10 mins. Leave some more rare, since some like their beef rare some med. Whatever you do don't over cook b/c it will be dry.

You arrange the slices on a platter, get smaller 4 inch party rolls for this. and put homemade Horseradish Sauce in the center of platter.

8 oz. whipping cream
3/4 cup horseradish
3/4 mayo

beat cream till fluffy, mix in mayo then horseradish.
You can make this the day before, actually you can do the beef the day before to. It is meant to be served chilled or room temp.
My DS makes this for pot lucks, or in the summer w/ a salad and everyone can just make their own and run. I made it for NY's day brunch and it is a keeper. She says most people think it's filet.
