thoughts on using gold...

And to get back on topic... heh.... Cruise and I actually have characters that we made just for playing pirates. She is GoldUser and I'm GoldWaster. Just to warn people that we're "cheap" and DO use the gold Well.... she uses gold.... I kind of just shoot at rocks and stuffz.... which.... is why I'm the GoldWaster

Ah my little GoldUser. Players be warned....she DOES use gold whenever she can and Pink will waste gold when at all possible. I just love playing on GoldUser, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that she will use the gold. Oh to be sure, she still gets the "gold is cheap" and "gold is cheating" lecture, but the come back is always the same...."gold is good".

Ok, now for an opinion (key word is opinion). They would not have put the gold cannon in there without it having a purpose. The purpose is to kill all your opponents with one single shot and take their credits, plan and simple. It is a powerful weapon and lucky are those who can pick it up. Does that mean I like getting hit by gold...of course not! Do I get annoyed...you betcha! It is a game afterall, and the point of the game is to win with the most credits. There is no "fair" in the game at all. Is it fair to be teamed up with a player who leaves when they are losing? NO! Is it fair to be teamed up with a stinking computer? NO! Is it fair to have the game start without ship choice? NO But it is all part of what makes the pirates game the most fun mini-game in VMK (another opinion here).

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I can respect that some feel that it is in some way cheating or cheap, but those that do have to understand that it is also just your opinion as well, do not insist that your opinion is the only opinion.

OFF TOPIC: moving your ship to get more ammo or health IS NOT, I REPEAT IS NOT running (yet another opinion). Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

Oh now that is priceless!!!! That would have had me rolling, for sure, if someone yelled that out to me! I'm laughing now and it wasn't even said to me... wow, wish I had been there! LOL!

My friend and I did laugh out loud at that one. I was also called a cheater once and when I asked why I was told "You waste ammo." So I guess I'm just an ammo wasting but face wishing cheap cheater with lots of credits from those ships I have sunk.

Seriously, you have to learn to laugh at yourself, and learn to accept you cant win everytime. It sounds like maybe you cant deal with losing then?
