and many many more things have been said to me and my fellow teammates when we sink someone and win using gold.

They all translate into: "I hate losing."

There is NOTHING wrong with using gold. It is a strategic element of the game.

This just reminded me of a signature I saw the other day. It said something like "Real pirates don't cry and complain when they lose.".

I just thought this was funny, because my husband plays pirates a lot. He is always running into the "you guys cheat" responses. Apparently, to many, someone else winning = cheating, who knew?

I dont think it is cheating at all. People may refer to it as "cheap" or even call you a "chicken" or something worse, but there just being poor sports. If it was cheating, it wouldnt be in the game. When i get hit by gold, i dont really care much, or anything, because it is part of the game. Basicly, what i think is that players say your cheap in one round, then they get you to not use gold the next. In result, you end up goldless and the other team has the gold. his problem can be resolved by removing chat in potc games, or limiting the potc game chat. Another way to fix this is to take the gold, and shoot it somewhere where there are no players. This way nobody gets the gold.

Gold is considered "Cheap" or "Cheating" only by those who it is being used against!!! If they have gold, then by some miracle it is no longer cheap or cheating.

I am so over being called a cheater or that it is cheap that I rarely pay attention anymore. Funny how they get so upset if you happen to use the gold cannons that were created for the game.

If somebody says gold is cheap or that I cheat because I used it.....Talk to the hand!

At one point in my signature I had: Gold is only cheap if somebody uses it against you.

Saying that using Gold Ammo in Pirates is cheating is like saying sandbagging in the old version of fireworks was cheating.

It's part of the game - it's how the game was designed - get used to it, get over it, and stop complaining about it.

I do have to say that I actually enjoy it when ppl call me a cheater or say I'm cheap. It just TOTALLY makes my day! I know I'm weird... but part of the fun for me is being called names during pirate games... makes me laugh out loud.... seriously! But being yelled at and being called names also means that I'm WINNING the game over the poor sports... which makes me laugh even more!

I'm all for using the gold, baby! If it shows up anywhere near me... I'm going for it

First of all, I miss alot with gold. Too much pressure.

Second, I get so tired of being called "cheap" and "cheater" that I usually just avoid it.

Maybe I would enjoy pirates more if I try your attitude, Pink. When you win alot, you really take some verbal abuse in that game. Don't get me wrong I sink a lot too, but I think next time I get called a cheater for winning I'll laugh out loud. If this works I may owe you for therapy.
