Thoughts on our dining plans?

We've been to the World many times. Just about all of these are new to us, family of four with kids 13 and 16. Paying OOP on a room discount:

  • Rose & Crown (went in 2000)
  • 50's Prime Time
  • Skipper Canteen
  • Tokyo Dining
  • The Wave dinner
  • Sci Fi Dine In - been multiple times, along with Brown Derby. Should we try Mama Melrose?

Like most of your choices. Rose & Crown used to be one of our usual places to have an Epcot dinner but after a disastrous meal where the food was cold and the waitress stopped but the large party next to use at least a dozen times (that I counted) and our table the one time when she took our order. My girls have told me never again. As to you HS places we have the same tastes. I let the girls decide on restaurants but insist on one trip to the Sci-Fi

They look good to me. 50's is pretty fun and the food is good. Skipper Canteen is a very cool place with some interesting choices on the menu. They have some great deserts so save room! Enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback. I was kind of on the fence about R&C. I may look to change it. We always loved Chefs de France lunch and I've considered trying it for dinner. That or one of the Mexican restaurants, maybe. We live in Texas and do love Mexican and Tex-Mex.

Well R&C was almost always for Illuminations for us anyways. I rank Chef De France (especially for dinner) was above most of the restaurants in Epcot.

Looks good, except I’ll also say R&C was a dud for us. Great beer, but much better food elsewhere around the WS. I’d try something different unless there’s a dish there you really love.

Our goal is always to try something new AND hit our favorites. So, it seems like you have a good plan. I will say that we liked both TS Mexican restaurants over R&C though.

I ended up doing Brown Derby instead of Sci Fi. We have done it before, but I have an opportunity to have lunch with an amazing friend that day, so WIN WIN. I dropped Rose & Crown and opted for Raglan Road one night instead of The Wave.
