What are we kids here?!? True..Is so!...Is not!!! Our fam had same experience as @tjmw2727 our 8 and 6 year old coul not ride together on barnstormer or SDMT even tho parents were directly behind them.

Agree - I have stated my experience and I am moving on. FWIW I travel to Disney many times a year, as recently as last month and have been for over 20 years. Honestly, unless your actually in a situation with your family its easy to misunderstand a situation in front or in back of you. I feel like I have lots of actual info and experience (including that of a single mom with young kids!) and could be helpful to the OP and others but I am not going to continue to go back and forth defending myself to do so.

I don't really care if anyone agrees with me but the OP is in a tricky situation and glossing over something that IMHO could really mess up her trip isn't my style.

Finally OP - the title of your thread is confusing and we have gotten so far off course I suggest you ask your new questions in a new post for more (on topic) responses.

I agree, it's time to move on. My travel agent has advised me on official Disney policy and how to handle the situation. How would you ideally split the Magic Kingdom over 2 days without crisscrossing back and forth all over the park and without backtracking back into areas. We won't be leaving the park - it would cause more issues than staying there and finding somewhere to take a break.

if you are doing MK in 2 days you should get a lot done. if you can do rope drop I would highly recommend it you can get so much done in the first 90+- minute the park is open. and make sure you have some down time planed in even before melt downs happen I find getting a spot for the 3 o'clock parade about 30 to 45 ( If it is slow you can get by with 20 minutes ) minute before like infant of country bears with a nice snack is a great and some times they have a prepared performatinc normally a school band

This board is filed with people who got bad information from travel agents. If yours is telling you that you don't have to sit with your 5 year old, s/he is wrong. You've had several posters on this thread telling you that you can't just sit behind your under 7 kids, and only one saying you can. I know it's tempting to believe it will all work out the way you want, but I'm afraid you'll be in for a rude awakening when you get there. But, I've given my advice, and now I'm going to move on as well. Good luck!

then how does a 5 year old ride space mountain if someone under 7 has to be seated next to some one 14 and over? some people get bad information form people on this broad. The OP has been give information for a few different people she can decide what information she feels is right for her. I do not think she will have a problem with her two oldest sitting together even if they say there right age. The policy ( from what I have seen and heard from CM that have worked at disney for over 40+ years) is that they are not allowed on the ride with out an adult either infant or behind them. and I am going to believe a CM that has been with the company for 40+ years and is very hight up in the company and talks to Bob a few times a year before I believe anything for anyone else when it come to disney.

I want to know how someone would split up the MK ideally with young kids split across 2 days. Which lands together, etc?

I would do tomorrow land and Fantasy land along with the fier works one day and the other lands the other day with the 3 pm parade this day if you find you finished one day early you could move on and do not forget Main Street as they do shows and could be a fun break


so maybe you could do tomorrow land at RD and do buzz monster space astro TTA then astor then do the speed way ( if you want to) yes I did skip stick as I think it is really a wast depend on time meet buzz and do carousel if you need a break

hace a FP for 7DMT starting at 11,1130 then maybe brain stormer dumbo little mermaid and maybe meet and greet
next FP for PP at 130 then small world then pooh ( this has a great interactive line for most people) I would either FP small world or under the sea I would lean a little more hard small world as under the sea is a cooler darker line so this maybe more doable for you to wait in

if you get a DAS card then this could change how you do the park

I went ahead and posted a new thread since this one was so off-topic, but this was my exact thinking and plan.

Again this was not our experience - the CM will want a person over 14 to be seated with a child that is under 7 not just in the same car but in the same seat. We had this issue at 7dmt and barnstormer as you can't squeeze 3 in a seat (unlike splash and btmr). If the CM assumes the two oldest are over 7 the OP won't have any issues - otherwise?

OP if you want real world experiences I would repost the question regarding ages to ride rather than your original question as we have gotten very far off topic (sorry about that!).

Eventually, we got around this in line by asking another odd party to pair up so he was with an adult. They didn't know or ask if that adult was part of our party as I guess it didn't matter as long as it was an adult.

It does not matter who the adult is. The policy just states the age limits, not the relationships.
