I am taking my son on a quick surprise trip over his February winter break. We only have two Disney park days (will be hopping both days) and then are going to Legoland (he's been asking and asking to go there).

I just found a PPO breakfast at Garden Grill for 8:35a on the day I am planning to start at Epcot then hop to AK. Right now I have an 11:35a at Coral Reef which I know my son will love. Is the PPO worth it given our short park time? Then we will plan for Soarin at opening right after breakfast than head straight over to FEA (saving FP+ for AK in the afternoon).

If I keep Garden Grill we'd be there at the park at 7:45a and hope to get seated early on.

I hate to cancel Coral Reef but also don't want to spend all our time eating, do you think it's better to go to Garden Grill or Coral Reef or keep both and just get an appetizer or share something at Coral Reef for the experience? I planned the time so we will be over there for Nemo and Crush anyway. Is getting in for breakfast PPO so helpful I shouldn't pass it up?

Help?!?!

No guarantees that you will be seated early. If I wanted to do soarin at rope drop, I would not want a reservation that late. It is virtually impossible that you will be seated, have eaten, and be out by 9:00. It could easily be 9:30 before you are out and soarin could have a long wait by then.

Yeah, that seems late to me. I've got a PPO for 8:10 at a buffet so I'm OK with that one.

Has their seating policy changed? They have previously allowed all PPO adrs in together and seated them as you check in, not by adr time.

I've decided to keep them both for now, no idea why it's so hard to decide where and when we want to eat four months from now. :hyper2:o_O:worried::scratchin:faint:

I think this only applies to BOG, since it's QS and open seating. Never heard of that being the case at TS restaurants (but I could be wrong).

We went the end of Aug. Our Graden Grill ADR was for 8:25am. We got in when they started letting the PPO ADRs in. We were seated when we got there. We saw all the characters quickly and got 2 rides on Soarin’ before the crowds got there.

We did this once also, but we had a FP+ for FEA later. I am hoping to save our FP+ for when we hop to AK that afternoon to ride FoP. Do you think the line will be crazy long for FEA by the time we get there after eating and riding Soarin at opening?

I'm really torn about Coral Reef, I know my son will love it but not sure if I want to take out more time for a sit down lunch.

keep them both for now and then as you get closer make a decision. You should cancel one because that would be too much TS time. I would say one would have to be canceled and frankly i would say cancel garden grill. It is good, neat character interaction, but the food is ok. Coral reef the food was really good and the view of the tank amazing.
