First I just want to say of course I'm happy for those who got an e-mail with a discount. Okay-just want to be able to say-I didn't get one Just wanted to have a place for those of us who didn't. Still hoping for an AP discount.

I just registered 2 days ago for the vacation video in my DH name and today I got an email. This is the only way they have my husbands name. I always make the reservations in my name. That is the only way he could have got it.

i got one postcard via postal mail, but was not able to use it ( was for june 04'- and we will NEVER go in june again)


still hoping.....but hey mabye codes for everyone will be out soon!

Haven't gotten one here either. But I'm hoping for FL resident rates. My DD18 went with some of her friends today. After they paid the toll she called me frantic. "Mom, which way do we go to get to Disney?" LOL Typically as soon as we are on the road she falls asleep, she was never awake to watch the directions. I never woke her up because its 1 less Daughter to say "Are we there yet?"

The girls were able to book FL resident rate yesterday for today at PC.

I signed up for that vacation planning video also and everything else i could. Just wanted somewhere for us to complain and not take away for the people or are SO happy they got one. Can't blame them-wish I got one too

I didn't get one either - and I could actually use it! I got a postcard about a month ago for September, which, of course, I could not use.

I didn't get an e-mail. I have actually never received an e-mail, postcard, etc. We go when AP discount rooms are available as that is the only discount we've ever been able to get - and it's not a bad discount either. We go down to WDW quite often from up here in Massachusetts (4 times this past year and just as many times each of the previous several years - all deluxe resort stays). We had planned on going this Fall and possibly between Thanksgiving and Christmas too but if there are no AP discounts available, no general room discount codes, and if we do not receive a postcard or an e-mail, we'll make vacation plans and spend our vacation budget elsewhere closer to home.

I DO, however, anticipate AP discounts coming out soon as they always had them in past Fall seasons. I'm just wondering what one has to do to get an e-mail or a postcard once (been registered EVERYWHERE I could for Disney promos, videos, surveys, etc. for a long time).

I've been registered for years and we also have AP's... nothing... not an email... not a postcard... ever.

Thankfully, I'm a FL resident, and that's how I usually get my discounts. I've never been able to get an AP discount...

me neither. I've registered and requested the video and done their survey and indicated that I am planning for 10/04 and didn't have reservations yet (truth be told I do have them but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a code to upgrade! ). I'll chose to look on the bright side and say this is a good indication that codes will come out. This is how it typically happens, postcards, then FLA rates then AP rates. Now if they'll just hurry up with those AP rates...

I didn't get one either. I have been registered with Disney for a quite a long time. I never even gotten a postcard in the good old fashioned mail. So, now I am holding out hope for a Florida Resident rate or A/P rate for December.

I realize this is probably a longshot and unrelated but if you are registered at the Disney.com site, have you completed the "profile" section? At the bottom of it, you are asked to check if you'd like to receive offers from Walt Disney World parks, 3rd parties, etc. Like I said, you probably have already done this, but just thought it was worth a mention. I get emails from Disney a lot. I also order too much from the disneystore.com site and belong to the disneymovieclub.com site as well. They probably took pity on me, lol.

I can't believe that the email program will build up enough business to fill the resorts. Other than those of us who plan, wait, and visit the boards looking for discounts, how many people get an email and all of a sudden say, "Okay, let's drop $4,000 at Disney next month."

People who can do that on a moment's notice probably really don't need the discount to begin with.
