I got one, and this is my first ever deal/email/postcard from Disney. The weird thing is the email came to my old College email address that I havn't had or used in over 14 months!!! I don't know how they got that, and when I called they had a different email for me in the system. I wish I could figure out how it works so I could get more deals like this! I saved over $100 a night on a three night weekend stay!

I am not going until next year, but I thought I would join you guys on the bus.....I do not get emails or post cards.

Some friends of ours get postcards mailed to OUR house, but we never receive any in our name. Funny enough, they got tons of post cards when they got back from thier trip in March. I have heard several others say that they received a post card within a week or two after visiting the mouse. Disney must want to catch you while your vacation is fresh on your mind so you'll want to book again. That tricky little mouse.

The only E-mail I got today was to send my picture of my family at disneyland in so we could have it on a poster(with hundreds of other people). I have never been to Disneyland. I guess it is a blessing, so I am not tempted to take a trip that I can not really afford to do.

This is strange---I got the email in my old email address, but not in my new one. I know they changed it in their system b/c when I called last week I verified they had my new email address.
I hope if I'm ever lucky enough to get one, it comes to my new address b/c I hardly ever check the other one.

No e-mail for me. I've done everything I know to do. I've registered at disney.com, ordered a planning video every year, order from disneystore.com too much, even answered a couple of surveys during our trip last year. We've been to WDW 4 times in the past 5 years!!! NOT ONE snailmail or email!!! Boo hoo!!!
Oh well, we'll still be there in Dec. Thank goodness I already have ressies at POFQ b/c it is booked for Dec. 5-11th. Some lucky person who got the email posted that it was booked so I checked on disneyworld.com and sure enough- wouldn't give me a room. Glad I didn't wait on the code for ressies!!!
Anyway, here's hoping for a room-only code for disney visa holders or just the general public. Either way, WDW here we come- again!!!

I wonder if anyone who lives in FL got one. I called about FL res rates tonight just in case those were out also, but nothing. The CM did say FL rates were out through the end of Sept. She did seem sympathetic and made sure my email was in their system. She also said they had lots of calls from people who did get the email. I guess I'll just have to be patient and hope that there will be rooms left when a discount does come out that I can use.

i got postcards twice last month...but no codes on them! i have never gotten email and I have signed up for everything that's out there on the disney sites.

frustrating, considering how many trips we've taken. but at least we got to use a code for sept. that is good for everybody.

wish i knew how to get on those lists for sure!

Hmmm...so Woodstock and Buford didn't get emails either wave: ceroarty and cooldisneymom!). Maybe they are going out to certain states????

If that is the case, note to Disney marketing "geniuses" Those of us here in GA are close enough to drive down to visit Mickey. Since we don't have to watch for great airfare if we don't mind driving (heck with the waits to get through security at Hartsfield-Jackson now I can get from my house to Orlando in about the same amount of time driving as I can flying!) we can plan frequent and/or last minute trips. I for one, will plan more frequent trips if you at least indulge me with a discount. Elect to indulge me however you choose, AP codes, email codes, GA resident, available to anyone or a postcard. A postcard may be your best bet b/c then my 4 year old is likely to see it and think it is an invitation from Mickey and will then bug me constantly till I give in. Lightbulb idea here....why do the postcard email thing and target only a handful of people many of whom will not be able to travel during the dates you offered. Make those rates available to everyone...I want to give you my money! Don't make me give you a pin before you accept it. As it stands now, you get $ for a value. Give me a discount and I'll end up spending more in the long run to bump up to a deluxe.

I'm still wondering if anyone in the south has received one of these. I thought I saw a post from someone in Miss. earlier. I'm also still wondering if anyone who is a current AP holder has gotten one (e-mail). Maybe they are targeting non-AP holders or something. I hope something is left for us AP holders to get a nice rate in November.

Well, for the first time ever I actually got the discount e-mail!!! But can I use it? Of course not. I bought APs for the next two trips. The rates in the e-mail are very similar to the AP rates. So, I don't feel too badly. I wonder why I finally got one. Haven't done anything differently. I've been registered with Disney for about 5 years now, gotten about 6 planning videos, stayed there 4 times, and then bought dvc. Go figure. Keep hoping guys.

I live in Auburn (AL) and didn't get one (sigh) but I'm hoping this means codes are coming out soon. I did see someone from Birmingham post that she got one. So, alas, I don't know about the target areas. It always seems so random. Maybe a new round will go out today.

Julie- it is a small world!!! I live in Tallassee- about 40 minutes from Auburn and went to Auburn University- War Eagle!!! My husband and I lived there for about 3 years and he still works there. Anyway, thought I'd give you a hello and War Eagle!

Hi Lollipop Mom!! I know what you mean about Hartsfield-Jackson airport!!!! We can drive in about the same time it takes us to get from Buford, to the airport, park wait thru security, fly, wait for rental car, etc!!!! We've tried it and driving is now much easier for us. DH doesn't mind driving during the night so we leave around 3 or 4 am. and pull into the WL around lunch time!!! I'm not worried about the e-mail thing, hey, they've got me and they know it!!!

I don't understand how they decide who gets cards or not, to those of you that did congrats!!! I just think the marketing dept. is very different. I am tired of the run around and no rates, so we booked off site. Those hotels want your business also and they have some good rates. I think we will no longer do the AP thing and will wait a long time before going back, yes Disney is a great place but the frustration gets on my nerves. Vacations
are fun not frustating going back to use AP but will wait a long time to go back, there are other vacation spots. Good luck to those waiting hope you get a card.
