Those darned abbreviations...

I have to admit that I use "abbreviations" of the longer names, but I don't use just letters. For instance, I'd say "everest" instead of the whole name. I've used just "splash" for the ride, and "thunder" for that one and so on. Small World has always been that to me, never IASW.............. Might take a few seconds longer to type a post but it sure saves confusion. However, I've used DH, DS, etc. since I first saw them used on the boards.

Luckily my family are all WDW fanatics we can talk abbreviations at home.

But I forget where I am sometimes...we IM a lot at work and many people use abbreviations, the more common text messaging ones. Every now and then I accidentally throw in a DIS board acronym and get back a very confused response from a colleague.
