Those Crocs/Airwalk thingys....

Ok, so I didn't buy the Crocs because I didn't want to pay the $30 for them so I got the Airwalks from Payless because I heard they were just as good and........ OMG, Who knew that a shoe so ugly could feel sooooooo good. I bought some for my DD1 and I. I'm so ashamed I didn't get these earlier

I bought two pairs of crocs this past August, planning to wear them for my recent trip in January to the World. Well, they were so comfortable at home - but just were not enough support for my feet for all the treking around WDW. My ankles and legs really began to ache - so I ended up buying a pair of Nikes at Downtown Disney for survival's sake!

So my warning is - make sure and bring other shoes to the World just in case the crocs/airwalks let you down.

BTW - my DH wore his crocs the whole time and had no problem!

Everyone is different - so be prepared!

I just bought some crocs for my DD (9) and myself. I got dark blue ones and she got purple ones. The rest of the crew already had them. (Orange and tan). I actually made FUN of them when they first got them because they were the ugliest shoes I'd ever seen. I've eaten those words because of the comfort. BOY, I love them and hope they work for me at WDW. I have some bad toes and it's hard to find cushy comfortable shoes for those little piggies. So, for comfort, I don't care how ugly they are. I'm taking my Nikes too.

Oh my gosh - I looked at the Airwalks yesterday at Payless and thought that they were the ugliest shoes that I had ever seen So I guess that I should run back over and get some!? - something else for the weekend list! Do your feet sweat in them? They just look hot! But for the Payless price - who cares!!??

anyone have a link to see what these shoes look like so i know? both the crocs and airwalks? (*are they sandals or shoes? i assume shoes as i remember airwalks from my skater boyfriend from oh 16 years ago. but i don't remember what they look like!)

Yes they are ugly, but I bought a pair for my Sept. vacation. My husband laughed until he put mine on. Needless to say, I went out and bought him a pair too! I had no problems walking around the world with them!

I have a couple of pairs of real Crocs, and I'm curious about something - do the Payless kind give you smelly feet? That's one of the most amazing things about real Crocs. They have an "antimicrobial surface", and I swear, even after wearing them sockless on the hottest summer days, my feet never smelled bad one bit!

I wore my airwalks all day today with no socks and my feet didn't start smelling at all. We'll see when I wear them in the hot weather because it IS kinda cold now.

I think the Crocs are more comfortable than the Airwalks. I have designated my Airwalks to be gardening shoes. My Crocs- 2 pair- are everyday shoes. This might be because I have wide feet.

Ok, I've been SO on the fence about these things (because they really are SO ugly looking, no offense) but I trust all of you and think I am going to invest in a pair!! They are already growing on me...A little.

Also, do you prefer the metro or the cayman crocks?

I have 5 pairs of the Beach/Cayman models, I like them because of the ventilation but I fully intend to buy some of the closed toed too

I was getting nervous about comfortable shoes for upcoming trip - 2/12 through 2/19 to Disneyworld & bought the navy beach crocs 2 weeks ago. Had an opportunity to wear them alot - I was in NYC Thurs. evening & Friday & walked all over -Times Square, Madison Square Garden & even to the Empire State Bldg. - & they were fabulous! Actually was 50 - 60 out but had socks on with jeans. they were so worth the $30. Am lookking forward to comfortable feet @ Disney!!

I wore my Crocs to WDW a couple of weeks ago. LOVED them!! I have loved them at home for almost a year now, thanks to these boards. I had them before they became "cool" with the younger set . I did A LOT of walking between the parks, the conference, and the resort (CSR). And I just bought a pair of Aspen style (closed toe). My DH asks why I need so many Crocs. I tell him that I can get 3 pairs of Crocs for what I paid for my one pair of New Balance tennis shoes that aren't nearly as comfy as my Crocs.

I also have 2 pair of Payless Airwalks. They aren't nearly as comfy as real Crocs. I wear them around home, but wouldn't put them through a day of walking at WDW.

Had been wearing them since last Jan. 05 not only at the world but back home. Wore them in and out of the pool too at typhoon lagoon and Blizzard beach! But yup for $30 they do get worn out but then you just go out and buy another one

Crocs are only ugly to people who have never tried them. Once you own a pair, they worm their way into your heart.

I have big, wide feet...size 11 wide. I bought the Caymens in size 11, and the Beach in size 10-11. The Beach are a little snug, and the Caymens are perfect. They are supposed to fit loosly.
