BLINK! @ the Castle Show in MK!

And, at a few other selected "show" situations.
(Plus, Timon "blinks" in the Festival of the Lion King show at DAK.)

So far, except in very, very limited "testing" situations, no blinking or talking
"fuzzy characters" at WDW Meet & Greets.

We were watching the castle show and the first thing DD noticed was that both Mickey and Minnie blinked. We were surprised. The rest of the show we just focused to look at their blinking. LOL

The characters at M&G didn't blink though.

I'm not a fan of the blinking characters either. But it's exclusively about photography. I like to photograph the shows and have to throw out a number of my shots because one character or another is mid-blink.

Our oldest DD was 6 the first time she went to WDW, and she was CONVINCED all the characters were "fake." Well, our first morning after arrival we had breakfast at CM and out comes Mickey and my DD's eyes got HUGE, she looked at me and said "Oh my gosh he IS real!!! It's the REAL Mickey Mouse!" It was such a magical moment. Anyway, I asked her why she thought that, and she said it was because he blinked, and costumes can't blink!

"Blinking Mickey" appeared at Chef Mickey's? That's the first report I've read of that. To my knowledge he's only appeared in staged appearances and in extremely isolated cases.

We were "family of the day" in Sept 2011. And the Mickey that opened the park with us blinked. I remember because my DD (4 at the time) couldn't stop staring at him in wonder. She completely missed that we were up in front of thousands of people opening the park, lol.

That one often does, and the one at the castle show--there might be one or two more. All of these fall under the staged appearances reference I used earlier.

That picture makes Minnie look like somebody gouged her eyes out!! The eyelashes need to move with the eyelids, or it's just... creepy.
