I am such an over thinker and right now I have 2 rooms booked until I decide what to do :confused3
We will be there August 19-24 it's Myself, DH, DS 17, DS 14, and DS 10 I have had a Queen Deluxe booked at $246 at HRH since January. Now I also have a Club booked for $274....can't decide if having more room would be nicer but we will be spending way more on food or if having less room but the added convenience of free breakfast and drinks and evening snacks would be better. DH and DS's are no help...It's always "whatever with them" :crazy2: I don't plan on hitting early entry every day I mean come on, it's a vacation, but will do it at least once so I know we will get some use out of the breakfast. I figure August is HOT so we will take a break mid day to eat inside somewhere and maybe swim...and head back out later in the day. So I guess I am asking if anyone thinks $30 more is worth it when we will have less room? I know it's POSSIBLE we may get offered a Deluxe but not guaranteed. We will be checking in around lunch that first day most likely since we are driving in from Virginia so I'm not sure if they will have given away all the Deluxe rooms yet. If you have gotten this far through all my rambling thanks! So, please help this over thinker :scared:

Your kids will be THRILLED if you book club at HRH. It is THE coolest. For the price difference I wouldn't hesitate to book club. You will save that amount in water and soda alone.

Like you said request deluxe club when you arrive. Also, tell them you are willing to move to one the next AM should it become available. This has happened to us before, twice.

Club at HRH is the bomb for cool factor. Oh also if you should decide to get a Cabana you'll get a hefty discount if you are on CL.

You really will have extra room cause the kids will be hanging in the lounge!:thumbsup2

Your travel dates are pretty good for lower occupancy and grabbing that deluxe on CL.

Thanks, I think I just need that push from someone who has been there done that lol.

I had a Deluxe room booked for our upcoming trip, but then started to think that Club might be the way to go. So I called and changed to Club. Of course I had to ask the reservationist if I could get a Deluxe on CL, and as expected they said it was not something they could book, but that I should call the Hotel directly. So, when I got off the phone making the change I called the hotel directly and asked them. The gentleman who answered the phone pulled up my ressie and said he blocked a Deluxe room for me. Hope this works out :cool1:

Got it finally, thanks! Had to request the Queen room on club witha sofa sleeper....it's not a Deluxe....even though in every way, shape, form, and size it is lol!

Good job. Guess the guy I got knew what I meant by a deluxe room. And I had just changed my Ressie, so he may have been able to see what I had just changed from. Yay for us!!!:banana::banana:

You made the right choice. Club is definitely worth it with kids. We stayed only 1 night @ HRH last month in the midst of a Disney trip and were upgraded to Club. My kids (13, 10 and 5) asked if all hotels had club level! So of course the next hotel stay we had at a local area Hyatt resort we had to book club. The walk back to HRH is so quick it wasn't a problem to make it make to take breaks in the club room. And in the morning it was convenient for everyone to just grab a bite to eat when they woke up. Those who were earlier risers didn't have to wait for those who were still sleeping, which is what we would have had to do if we were eating at a restaurant. So for future reference, there are rooms with sofa beds on club level? I didn't seem to ever see that booking category. Or is it something you request but aren't guaranteed?

It is something you can request but isn't guaranteed. It is also bigger at 500 sq ft. It took me several conversations to get to someone that new what I was talking about lol and eventually they were able to add that request to our reservation. Call the hotel directly...not the actual reservation line. Can't wait. I am super excited!!!!

So would it be better to book a club level room and make the reqeust for the sofa bed room or is it better to book a deluxe room w/ sofa bed, then pay to add on the club level access? Guess it is best to book whichever is more important to you since that would be a guarantee? Then try for the second choice option as a request?

You would have to book a club room. At check-in request the deluxe again (after having it on your reservation) if it is available there will be no extra charge.

If it's a deluxe room you want book it but you will end up paying more at check in if you upgrade to club and it is available. More than you likely would have paid prior. Also, during busy seasons CL fills up pretty quickly.

OK, thanks. Not planning a trip at this moment but good to know for future reference! Of course when the time comes I will probably have forgotten which way to book!

I just upgraded to Club at Royal Pacific! I was just like you wondering what to do -- I sent my husband a text (after bugging him in person the night before about what to do) and I think he was just fed up and wrote back "Just do it!" So I did!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Now with reading everyone's responses to you, I am glad I did! When you get back, can you give an update -- I know we are staying at 2 different resorts but I am curious as to what you thought of it! Have fun!!!!!!:cheer2:

we have a deluxe queen booked for middle august as my 2 sons wont sleep together without killing each other so one has the sofa bed, did'nt see any mention of the club level in brochure so i guaess you have to book direct, what are the advantages of club level, thanks

you can book a Deluxe Queen you just can not book one of the 4 Deluxe Queens that are on Club level. It is on a first come first serve bases though you can "request" it in your reservation it is not guaranteed on club level :) club level has free breakfast offerings, food soda snacks, appetizers in the evening, beer wine and dessert....there is a thread on here somewhere about it :)

Due to a maintenance issue on my last trip, I was blocked off for a deluxe queen rm with a complimentary upgrade to CL for my Oct trip....the manager has already chosen my room. It will be so nice with 4 ppl, all who need their own sleeping arrangement, to have the extra room in a deluxe room :) I can vouch that CL is definitely da bomb at HRH, its amazing! I wouldn't do a trip without it at either Disney OR UNI! I'm a big CL lover! :cool1: as are my teens and my DH :)
