Wouldn't it be a logical assumption for Disney to provide direct transportation? I'm not understanding why people would assume they wouldn't?

The Disney transportation system is very confusing for people who aren't familiar with it.

I guess that is why there is a Transportation board. :)

I'm sorry you had a nasty PM. People who threaten to report people on message boards for silly things like supposed wrong information obviously don't have anything important to do in life.... so they thrive by making other people's days inconvenient. Way to be above it all! :flower3:

Oh, no, she was very nasty to me and a few other people on the thread and then PM'd me! Hey, I hate admitting when I'm wrong as much as the next person, but, when you're wrong, you're wrong - and she did not like that one bit! lol!!!

I remember that thread. I believe I posted on that one to back up one of your posts. Your right she did not like being told she was wrong.

A couple of previous posters thought she might have been confused about DTD busses going to the parks. This was certainly not the case with this poster. She insisted you could not go from park to park and she was right and we were all wrong. LOL I cant believe she pm'd you.

This thread was a good idea. I am sure it will help out a lot of people.

We have done this numerous times while at Disney. Alot of times if we are standing at our resort and waiting for a particular bus and it don't come we will hop on one of the other parks buses and then get off and get on the bus we need. I guess people don't read the signs correctly because this is not something that has just happened!

Now that's a great idea! We are totally going to do that next time instead of waiting an hour for a certain bus.

Thanks for the tip about this - having read the boards for the last few years ive been under the belief (or DISbelief - haha i made a funny! :lmao: ) that I had to transfer all over the place just to get to a different park, which always seemed like a dumb idea.

Thanks v much :thumbsup2

I am so glad you posted this and I am gladder I read the thread, I almost didn't due to the subject... I was not aware of the park to park transportation! I'll definitely keep this in mind for when we are there! :thumbsup2  :flower3:

I thought when my DS and I were there in September 2006, we took a bus directly from DAK to MK and were dropped off at the bus drop off, not T&T. Has this changed or has my memory failed again! We were hitting all four parks and EE was down at EMH so we jumped to MK.

Isn't it great when you find out there's a way to utilize your time in the parks better and to get your monies worth out of those park hoppers!! lol!!!

Gee, I've been reading these boards for a year and I didn't know this either! Thanks for clearing that up. How do waterparks fit into this?

Buses that go to the Animal Kingdom also stop at Blizzard Beach and buses that go to Downtown Disney also stop at Typhoon Lagoon.

Thanks for the Waterpark info. Do buses go to DTD from the parks, just not to the parks from DTD?

I know it sounds strange, but we waited 25 minutes one morning for the MK bus and it just did not come so we hopped on the Epcot bus and then when we arrived at Epcot got on the bus for MK. We weren't in a hurry so it was just a relaxing ride that morning!

Don't you mean you took the Monorail to the TTC, because there is no direct bus from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom.

Maybe a big house will land on her while she is waiting for the bus at Epcot to take her to her resort so that she can then get on a bus to DT Disney so she can catch a bus to Magic Kingdom :lmao: !!

Seriously, I HATE mean people...especially mean people that think they know everything when they really know nothing at all!

Thank you for posting this. It's all about education. I have had to tell more than one person, "NO, you can't walk from one park to another."

We did that one day..we waited for a bus to Epcot for about 30 minutes. Finally, I just hopped on an MK bus and we used the TTC to go to Epcot.

We also went directly from AK to DHS last year...

... How do waterparks fit into this?

It's a little complicated but here goes. (I'm probbably going to confuse myself) ;)

Typhoon Lagoon:

In the morning and early afternoon, busses from resorts stop at Typhoon Lagoon on the way to DTD.

Late afternoon, the busses from resorts stop at DTD first, then Typhoon Lagoon.

In any case, there are no busses between TL and the four main parks.

Blizzard Beach:

Busses from MOST of the resorts going to AK or coming from AK stop at BB.

For AKL, the bus going to/coming from DHS stops at BB.

There may be others (All Stars?) that work like AKL.

But, of course...and a dandy board it is!!!

Nope, there is no direct way to get from a park to DTD, and vice versa. No transportation between the two. Too many people were parking at DTD and then heading to the parks...they got the free parking, so I would assume it was mostly those who were not staying on-site that were doing that.
