Well, as someone who is still a relative newbie to WDW, I'm OK with "direct" being used.
Because to leave OUT "direct" still doesn't help the situation. We met people on the bus to OKW from DHS on our September trip who were hopping to a different park. They'd been there many times, they were on their second to last day of a long-ish trip, and they were going to OKW to just catch another bus to their second park. They'd been doing it EVERY day of their trip, and their previous trips, because that's what they thought you had to do. They didn't feel they were going "indirectly", they felt they were going the way they had to go. If they say "bus/monorail service between all 4 parks", they might actually think it was just going to talk about doing what they had been doing. They might not even read the thread.
Since we typically drive (and we've driven to MK each time we've gone, apart from the Halloween Party evening), the TTC is indeed the parking lot. To me, there's nothing INdirect about going to the MK's parking lot. To ME, it's accurate, once you've grasped the fact that the parking lot is far away.
And, honestly, it didn't seem to feel "direct" to have to walk the million steps to get to the OKW bus stop there...I couldn't help but feel that it wasn't ALL that much different than going the other way towards monorail or boat, to get to our car (but we've had MAJOR parking mojo when driving to MK, parking in one of the first rows, since we're either there so early, or coming in while everyone is fleeing the rain).
So I think that while "direct" might not be the absolutely perfect word to use, to leave it out is more misleading. I'd challenge someone to find a better word that really describes the situation.
Hey, maybe just clarifying the reason why the TTC is, or has been (if the changes coming are real...I didn't check WED's link), "direct", since it's the parking lot, would be good. (but I only skimmed the first post, maybe you already did!)
The good news, for those people who don't know the info and need the info (like the people I met...and I, I am ashamed to say, did not tell them that they'd been wasting an hour a day on their trips...I kinda figured that if the bus driver, who had to have heard our conversation (she was a loud talker, we were the only ones on the bus, sitting up at the front), didn't say anything, that I wasn't going to burst their bubble...so they still need the info), is that the thread title grabs your attention. Then they can read and get the full info.
