This is your 24th Anniversary? But you're so young!~A 5/12 TR!*PTR link pg 49, 9/14!*

Ahhh Magic Kingdom mornings are the best!

I love that Mr Toad is in the cemetery but it is somewhat bittersweet, as I LOVED that ride!

That's great you got go to Liberty Tavern. It's nice to just stay in one park and not have to rush off to another reservation.

And just think of how happy you would have made the people who were able to use your Le Cellier ressie at the last minute :goodvibes

The One with the MAGIC KINGDOM!!

(Haha sorry I couldn't think of a better title, but that kind of just says it all!)

Tuesday May 8, Part 2

Sooo, we just canceled my favorite restaurant in the World, Le Cellier, to stay in the Magic Kingdom longer, and I was actually feeling pretty good about it! It was a beautiful morning, the crowds were still relatively low, and I just felt I needed to be there as long as possible, since our trip was almost over! So what was the first thing we after we made the important decision to cancel Le Cellier? Well it had to be something awesome, and we weren't messing around:

P1020433.jpg

Ohhhh yeah, Splash Mountain!

P1020434.jpg

Ever since I got ridiculously soaked on this ride a few years ago, I've been a little nervous about going on it when we were still going to be in the park for a few hours, but it was so hot, I figured if I got soaked, I'd dry pretty quickly! There was no wait, so we jumped right into our log and went on our journey through the briar patch. Which was of course, amazing, and luckily, I didn't get soaked!

Since BTMRR was still closed, there wasn't much of a reason to hang out in Fronteirland any longer, so we went back to Fantasyland to use our Peter Pan FP's and when we got there, we found this:

P1020436.jpg

The FP return line! It looks scarier than it actually was though, because we were on the ride pretty quickly!

Brandon wanted to do one of his favorites next, Philharmagic, so we went over there, where a show was going to start in a few minutes...look at all these people waiting!

P1020439.jpg

I have never seen that many people waiting for Philharmagic! And the CM's kept telling us to move up and smush in next to each other, it was kind of awkward, but it didn't last too long because the doors opened and everyone rushed into the theater!

I love Philharmagic SO much! The only thing I can say I kind of dislike about it, is it always seems out of focus to me, even with the 3d glasses on! But that might be my fault, since I wear glasses but never actually put them on in Disney, except for when I'm driving...maybe on my next trip I should wear my glasses, it might open up a whole new world to me! :rotfl:

We still had some time before our ADR, so we decided to go over to Tomorrowland and do a few things over there! I was getting kind of hot, and I didn't want a repeat of my Epcot episode, so we stopped at Auntie Gravities to get a float. Brandon went in to order and I ran over to Space Mountain to grab some FP's. When I came back, Brandon gave me my float, and said the CM said "I've been working here for years and have never made that kind of float." What did I get?

P1020440.jpg

Chocolate ice cream with Sprite! I don't know, I don't think it's weird, but I grew up drinking/eating that, maybe it is weird to other people! It was delicious and refreshing and exactly what I needed at that moment!

We had a little time before we could use our Space Mountain FP's so we absolutely HAD to go on the Peoplemover, since it was closed during our EMH night! It's one of my favorites, and one of these days, I'm going to ride it over and over! I just have to time it right so they let me stay on!

P1020442.jpg

I didn't take any shoe pictures this time, so here are just some random shots from the Peoplemover:

P1020446.jpg

P1020448.jpg

Ahhh Space Mountain, you're next!

We went right over to Space Mountain and flashed our FP's and pretty much ran through the queue because no one was in it! I actually wrote in my notes that we went into SM at 12:10 and we were out at 12:21! I think that is the fastest I've ever went on SM in my life! I still remember the trips when I was a kid, waiting in that line for 2 hours...the pre-FP days!

We left Tomorrowland and went through the hub to get back to Liberty Square, and of course, I had to pause for a few minutes to take a few pictures of the statue, which I always feel like I can never get a good picture of!

P1020453.jpg

Eh. I have a few more, but I just don't like them!

We went over to the bridge that crosses over into Liberty Square, and I thought the castle looked so beautiful through the trees, so again, I had to stop and take a few pictures there, (while I think Brandon walked up ahead of me, not realizing that I stopped...oops!)

P1020454.jpg

IMG_1250.jpg

I think the 2nd one I took with my phone and put it on FB, I love that picture!

Brandon wanted to sit for a little while so I went into the Christmas shop and looked around...

P1020460.jpg

Ahhh my Rapunzel ornament again!

P1020461.jpg

It took a lot of self control, but I didn't buy out the whole store, which is saying a lot because usually I go crazy with Disney themed Christmas things! I just looked around and then went back outside with Brandon and we sat for a few minutes and then decided to see if we could check in a little early for our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern!

Even though we were 20 minutes early, we were seated right away, which was awesome, because we were starving by then! I didn't even need to look at the menu, I knew what I was getting! The pot roast:

IMG_1251.jpg

YUM this is so good, I can't even describe it, it just tastes like awesome home cooked pot roast, it's perfect! I was actually wishing there was more, because it was just so amazing!

Brandon got a burger, which I didn't bother taking a picture of, because yay, a burger. :rolleyes1

I did take a picture of his dessert though, he got the apple craisin cake (the same one you get if you eat dinner there)

(Sorry it's blurry!)

IMG_1252.jpg

and I got THE Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake:

IMG_1253.jpg

which pretty much needs no words. I mean, look at it. It's as good as it looks. Maybe better...those little pieces of crushed up toffee are what makes this dessert perfect! No it's not as perfect as the bread pudding at 'Ohana or the Chocolate Moose at Le Cellier, but it's pretty close!

We were stuffed and figured it was probably time to leave. We wanted to swim in Stormalong Bay one last time and we had a night of Epcot ahead of us, so we needed a few hours in between to relax. So we said goodbye to the Magic Kingdom, thinking it would be the last time I would see it for months. I took one last picture of the castle and we were walking down Main Street

P1020474.jpg

and we began the obnoxious task of getting back to our car (UGGHHHH MK parking!!! :sad2:). Once we got there, I realized that I never took any pictures with Caitlin's Flat Stanley in the Magic Kingdom. Again, Brandon kind of saved my life, suggesting we go back tomorrow...however, we didn't have a whole day the next day, since we were flying home at 8:00 pm and I already wanted to go to DHS to ride the Tower of Terror and then spend the remaining time at Epcot...can we do 3 parks in less than one day? Is that even possible? That gave me something to think about as we drove back to the Beach Club and got ready to relax in SAB for a while!

Up next...my favorite park!

It sounds like you and Brandon had such an amazing MK day! Completely makes up for EMH when the Peoplemover was broke and things just weren't that "magical" for you guys that night.

I can't believe how fast you got through SM, especially with one of the other coasters being closed for refurb, and how many people were in Philarmagic! Usually that show is pretty empty. Guess everyone needed a break from the heat. :confused3

I haven't ever had a Sprite float before, but I've heard of it, so I don't think it's that odd. And that Toffee dessert looks amazing! You have further convinced me of two things. The first being I really need to go on the Peoplemover my next trip, and the second is I have to give LTT a try.

I have done 3 parks in one day back in October and it was a feat! I ended up taking a nap in the Living with the Seas aquarium; I couldn't imagine doing it in that insane May heat. But I'm curious to see what comes of that in future updates.

I have had choc. sodas at restaurants and they always use seltzer:crazy2: How gross. I would have never thought to order it as a float, I am so getting that in Feb. I always dump Sprite over choc. ice cream and Caitlin won't even try it. Oh well, more for me.popcorn::

HEY! I want to see the burger picture! That is what I would probably order if we go there and now I really want to. I must try the ooey gooey toffee cake.

I love Splash Mountain. Do you remember the Song of the South movie at all? I remember watching parts of it as a kid. I wish they had it available to buy, I would like to see it again.

I think the first place we go in Feb. will be the xmas shop at DTD. I want to order a personalized ornament and I want to make sure we can get it in time.

Sounds like a fabulous day at MK! Love the blue sky!! You ate what I will probably have at LTT! A Wonderful meal!!

Sounds like a very relaxing day so far! You've gotten a lot done! I haven't eaten at LTT, but that pot roast looks really good! I really like the pictures you took of Walt and Mickey and the castle!

You are so right, if they remove "TEST TRACK BABY!" from the must dos, I will never recover.

Yay for not getting soaked on Splash. It's weird, I never can gauge how wet i'll get. Sometimes it's not at all, others I'm soaked, and everything in between!

YUM! LTT looks delicious. I've always wanted to eat there. Right now I have that and Garden Grill scheduled for around the same time on one day... I haven't been able to choose between them yet. It's so hard to fit everything in!

You can def do three parks on your last day! On our last day in Dec, I went to 3 parks and the Boardwalk. And I had to be back at Pop for the Magical Express pick up at 3:45. I'm nuts, I know.

Yay to a fun time in MK!!
Your meal at LTT looked delicious!!!

Your float looks and sounds tasty! I've never heard of chocolate icecream and sprite- may have to try that sometime soon!

I think you could pull off three parks!

Ps we actually got an ADR for Le Cellier for our trip! DH stumbled upon it and we jumped!!!!

So glad to see your update. Looks like an awesome day.
We love Philharmagic. The first time we went on, DH stuck out his hands to "touch" Donald, but then it switched to Ariel, and it looked like he was groping her shells. I smacked his hands down fast. Family park, you know!

I love the PeopleMover, too. You know when you get to ride it endlessly? If you are in the park with small children. Nap time for them, MK joy for you.

Awesome timing on Space Mountain, and an extra helping of pixie dust getting into LTT so fast. Those desserts look fabulous. Can you go to LTT just for dessert?

Hoping you made it to all 3 parks on your last day. I just love your report. The magic of WDW really shines through in your writing.pixiedust:

SPLASH YAY!!!!

Hahaha, admittedly I've never tried a Chocolate Sprite float, but it does sound a little weird!!! Is it like chocolate covered fruit? I really just can't picture what that would taste like.

Wait... PRE-Fastpass days?!?! That's like the stuff my nightmares are made of.

Your meal looks great! The dessert LOOKS good to me, but I don't know if I'd like it! Apparently I'm not as big of a fan of toffee as I thought I might be. :confused3

Three parks in a day is a common thing for me! (I've even done four and not felt rushed. That's right, I'm awesome. :rotfl:)

What a great MK day...you hit all the best attractions! An endless loop of the Peoplemover sounds like fun to me!

Yum, LTT! I do love that toffee cake. I tried to make it at home once, but it was a failtacular! :rotfl:

I love that you guys blew off Le Cellier to stay in MK, some days are just made for MK fun! :goodvibes

Ah yes, the pre-FP days. I was too chicken to ride Space Mountain growing up, but I do remember feeling like I was going to die of heatstroke while waiting in a two-hour line at Big Thunder Mountain. :crazy2:

That Rapunzel Christmas ornament is so freaking cute! I'm impressed at your restraint. I'm a hopeless Disney shopper, I could spend days at World of Disney at DTD (especially when it comes to the Disney housewares!)

I can't believe this trip is almost over, but I can't wait to hear what you've got planned for November. :goodvibes

That's pretty awesome how fast you made it through the SM queue!!! Hahaha I remember waiting for hours in the lines as well. Oh, pre-FP days...

I do think an ideal park touring plan would have multiple rides on the TTC on it. It's just the most perfect, peaceful ride!

Yummmmm your desserts look so good! I love the apple cake, but have never had the toffee one because we have only eaten there for dinner.

I love Splash Mountain and am glad you did not get soaked! We always seem to get the back seat, so we never get soaked.

Sorry I have been MIA for awhile. I have been going through heavy duty DW withdrawl. I have gotten used to going twice a year and that just isn't going to happen this year. I am just now catching up on everyone's reports and was glad to read two updates from you!

Ahhhh, your morning/afternoon at MK sound so...PERFECT. :lovestruc

I love that you 'gave up' Le Cellier b/c you didn't want to leave the MK. I wouldn't have wanted to leave and sometimes it's hard to make those decisions. On our trip last October, Greg and I were definitely okay with cancelling ADRs and I'm sure we will be just as flexible in November. :)

the last time i saw mickey's philharmagic it was all out of focus too. and after, i looked at my mom and told her that i love it but it was blurry this time [like double vision] and she said it was the same for her too. it was fine the year before, but we were sitting nearer the middle and this last time we were on the very far right so i think that was our problem

I've been to LTT for lunch once... it was a yummy meal! I, too, had the Sticky Toffee Cake for my dessert, I think it was the best part of the meal, LOL!

Great update! I love that you canceled Le Cellier for more MK time. Sometimes going with the flow can be so hard when you've spent so much time coming up with the perfect plans, but it seems like you made the right choice. Plus, your new meal at LTT looked great!

I love all of the castle pictures that you got. Makes me want to be there right now! :goodvibes

Sorry for the long absence, but I'm back! ;)

I agree, the angle of watching the fireworks from the Contemporary are a little weird. It's strange to see it when you're not straight on looking at the castle.

Ugh. Sharing a row with people on Pirates. That's just weird. I've never had that happen before either.

Yay, your first DIS meet! No need to be awkward, we're all weirdos in our own way. :lmao:

TURKEY LEG SHAPED RICE KRIPIE TREATS?! Genius! :rotfl:

Disney ducks are the best kind! I love them. And sleeping on top of a bush? That's just awesome.

Um, I take my riding very seriously too! :rotfl2:

Mmmmm, fish and chips and giant beer? That's just great.

That's horrible that you were feeling so terrible! It must have been scary, I would have freaked out myself. It could be that your electrolytes were down, which is why you were feeling so strange. Gatorade and Powerade replace your electrolytes. If you drink too much water, you can actually flush out your electrolytes, which is not good.

That cheesecake looks AMAHZING!

That sucks when the ride you are looking forward to riding the most is closed when you get there. :(

Yay, you lost 9 pounds so far!! That's great! (I'm still reading, but that's the point I'm at).

I have yet to eat at LTT for lunch, but man all of that food looks soooooo good. The main reason I want to go is for the toffee cake, I'm not gonna lie.
