This is your 24th Anniversary? But you're so young!~A 5/12 TR!*PTR link pg 49, 9/14!*

Great update, Jen. You got a lot done staying at the MK longer (although that line for Peter Pan looks scary).

Mark would love that pot roast (I don't eat it)...I'm thinking we'll have to get back there one day soon.

I can't wait to hear if you hit all three parks.

PhilharMagic is pretty much the reason I got LASIK...haha, well, not COMPLETELY the reason, but it--and the Muppets, and not having to switch between regular glasses and sun glasses every 10 minutes in the parks--is much better since the procedure. :thumbsup2

I thought I read this already and commented, but apparently not. And now I can't see pictures so I am equally frustrated.

I have to laugh at Brandon ordering a burger at LTT since they are so many other great choices on the lunch menu. Oh well, at least his dessert was a winner.

I love the Christmas store and I managed to get in and out of there and not buy a thing in June. Yeah me!

I always feel like the Philarmagic glasses are bent and I cant see right :rotfl: but its such an awesome movie!

I really want to try chocolate ice cream and sprite now!!

I had lasik in 2008. Unfortunately my eyes are very slowly deteriorating again. I am thinking of going to get glasses before October so I can see at WDW clearly...

Yikes! I just had my 3-year check up and I'm still 20/20--knock on wood! I had a high school friend that had his done back in 1997 and he's now wearing glasses again (only thin ones), though he was practically blind growing up. I love my laser vision, so I don't never wanna go back!

You should talk to your doctor. I know when I had my procedure I could get my vision "adjusted" for free if it started to go within a certain period of time.

My eyes aren't so bad yet but details are getting fuzzy. I had REALLY bad eyes before the procedure. They said that I couldn't get a revision as my cornea's are now too thin. :headache: I can still see the alarm clock without glasses so that's good! I can live with my eyes the way they are now.. Just hoping they don't get any worse.

Wanted to check in on your pictures and they are really outstanding. the castle pic, the splash mountain pic, and that final pic really caught my eye. Strong work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you really took advantage of staying in the MK. A great start to the day and Stormalong Bay up next? Sounds nice, wish every day was like that!

I really thought I commented on this already! Hm! Apparently not. Ok here we go.
Lovely MK day, way to definitely take advantage of your time there! :thumbsup2
I love Philharmagic too! I especially loved it last year when I wore my contacts in Disney for the first time. No more double glasses!

It sounds like you and Brandon had such an amazing MK day! Completely makes up for EMH when the Peoplemover was broke and things just weren't that "magical" for you guys that night.

I can't believe how fast you got through SM, especially with one of the other coasters being closed for refurb, and how many people were in Philarmagic! Usually that show is pretty empty. Guess everyone needed a break from the heat. :confused3

I haven't ever had a Sprite float before, but I've heard of it, so I don't think it's that odd. And that Toffee dessert looks amazing! You have further convinced me of two things. The first being I really need to go on the Peoplemover my next trip, and the second is I have to give LTT a try.

I have done 3 parks in one day back in October and it was a feat! I ended up taking a nap in the Living with the Seas aquarium; I couldn't imagine doing it in that insane May heat. But I'm curious to see what comes of that in future updates.

It was an awesome day at MK! Staying longer was such a nice thing to do instead of rushing and leaving!

I could not believe how busy Philharmagic was! It's always pretty empty! It was getting hot though, so yeah, that's a good place to escape!

YES you need to go on the Peoplemover! And eat at LTT! And get a float with Sprite! :rotfl:

I've done 3 parks in one day before, but never on the day we were leaving, I thought that might be a bit of a challenge!

I have had choc. sodas at restaurants and they always use seltzer:crazy2: How gross. I would have never thought to order it as a float, I am so getting that in Feb. I always dump Sprite over choc. ice cream and Caitlin won't even try it. Oh well, more for me.popcorn::

HEY! I want to see the burger picture! That is what I would probably order if we go there and now I really want to. I must try the ooey gooey toffee cake.

I love Splash Mountain. Do you remember the Song of the South movie at all? I remember watching parts of it as a kid. I wish they had it available to buy, I would like to see it again.

I think the first place we go in Feb. will be the xmas shop at DTD. I want to order a personalized ornament and I want to make sure we can get it in time.

Yeah I got a chocolate soda at Friendly's once and they used seltzer and it was disgusting! I've never had one with soft serve, so this one was really good! I don't know why people think it's weird, it's good!

I didn't even take a picture of his burger! But he liked it, and it looked really good! The ooey gooey toffee cake is so good especially with all of that toffee!

I'm pretty sure we saw Song of the South in the theater, they must have rereleased it or something, because I know we saw it in a theater at some point when we were little. Maybe at the Capital or something. I'd like to see it again too, all the animal characters are so cute.

Fine with me, the Christmas shop in DTD is my favorite Disney store ever!

Sounds like a fabulous day at MK! Love the blue sky!! You ate what I will probably have at LTT! A Wonderful meal!!

It was a fabulous day! I loved the blue sky too, we got a little rain each day on this trip, but it was never anything bad like October or December! :rotfl: LTT is so good, I love that pot roast!

Sounds like a very relaxing day so far! You've gotten a lot done! I haven't eaten at LTT, but that pot roast looks really good! I really like the pictures you took of Walt and Mickey and the castle!

We did get a lot done that morning, it was so much fun! LTT is really good, you should try it sometime, I think it's probably the best MK restaurant (although I've never been to the Plaza or CRT, I can't imagine them being better than LTT! :rotfl:)

You are so right, if they remove "TEST TRACK BABY!" from the must dos, I will never recover.

Yay for not getting soaked on Splash. It's weird, I never can gauge how wet i'll get. Sometimes it's not at all, others I'm soaked, and everything in between!

YUM! LTT looks delicious. I've always wanted to eat there. Right now I have that and Garden Grill scheduled for around the same time on one day... I haven't been able to choose between them yet. It's so hard to fit everything in!

You can def do three parks on your last day! On our last day in Dec, I went to 3 parks and the Boardwalk. And I had to be back at Pop for the Magical Express pick up at 3:45. I'm nuts, I know.

I actually tried watching the Top 7 the other day on youtube and I had to stop after like, 20 seconds. I couldn't handle all of her Stacey-ness and not being in Disney World, I was about to start crying. I want to be in Disney right now!!!!

I know, I can never figure out how wet I'll get on Splash either, and it doesn't seem to even matter if you sit in the front or back! I wouldn't mind getting soaked as long as I'm about to leave, but when I had to walk around for the rest of the day soaked, I was not happy! :rotfl2:

Hmmm...I've never been to Garden Grill, so I can't comment on that one, but LTT is really good! I think I've eaten there 3 times now? And every single time it's been fantastic! Lunch is much better than dinner, not that dinner is not good, but I like being able to pick what you want to eat. However, I've heard really good things about Garden Grill too, and they have characters, so that seems like it would be fun! I'm sure you will love either one! :cool1:

Wow, 3 parks AND the Boardwalk all before 3:45? Crazy! We actually did something similar on our last day, it seemed crazy at the time but it was fun! I needed to keep myself busy that day or I would have just cried about going home!

Yay to a fun time in MK!!
Your meal at LTT looked delicious!!!

Your float looks and sounds tasty! I've never heard of chocolate icecream and sprite- may have to try that sometime soon!

I think you could pull off three parks!

Ps we actually got an ADR for Le Cellier for our trip! DH stumbled upon it and we jumped!!!!

It was a great time in MK! And LTT was amazing, as always!

I'm not sure if chocolate ice cream and Sprite is a well known thing, or just something my mom did, but it's really good! You know what seems weird to me...a Coke float! And people have those all the time! Coke and ice cream just seems strange!

Haha, me too! :thumbsup2

OMG yay, I'm so glad you got Le Cellier! It's about time! :cheer2:

So glad to see your update. Looks like an awesome day.
We love Philharmagic. The first time we went on, DH stuck out his hands to "touch" Donald, but then it switched to Ariel, and it looked like he was groping her shells. I smacked his hands down fast. Family park, you know!

I love the PeopleMover, too. You know when you get to ride it endlessly? If you are in the park with small children. Nap time for them, MK joy for you.

Awesome timing on Space Mountain, and an extra helping of pixie dust getting into LTT so fast. Those desserts look fabulous. Can you go to LTT just for dessert?

Hoping you made it to all 3 parks on your last day. I just love your report. The magic of WDW really shines through in your writing.pixiedust:

It was an awesome day, I love MK and I feel like we never get to spend enough time there!

Haha, that's so funny about your DH and Ariel's shells! :rotfl: I'm not going to lie, I still reach up to touch the jewels during "Part of your World" even though I know they're not real!

Haha, good idea, I'll have to remember that for when I have a kid...make them take a nap on the Peoplemover so I can stay on for a while! :rotfl2:

Hmm, I'm sure you can go to LTT just for dessert, as long as you have an ADR or they have availability! :thumbsup2 Probably not for dinner, since it's family style, but I would assume you can for lunch!

Ohhh, thank you so much! :goodvibes I don't think of myself as a good writer at all, but I just love writing about Disney so much, so I'm always happy to hear people like reading! :cheer2:

SPLASH YAY!!!!

Hahaha, admittedly I've never tried a Chocolate Sprite float, but it does sound a little weird!!! Is it like chocolate covered fruit? I really just can't picture what that would taste like.

Wait... PRE-Fastpass days?!?! That's like the stuff my nightmares are made of.

Your meal looks great! The dessert LOOKS good to me, but I don't know if I'd like it! Apparently I'm not as big of a fan of toffee as I thought I might be. :confused3

Three parks in a day is a common thing for me! (I've even done four and not felt rushed. That's right, I'm awesome. :rotfl:)

Yay Splash!!! Isn't it the best?

Haha, to me, chocolate ice cream and Sprite just go together but other people think it's strange! It's actually really, really good! Have you ever had a root beer float? Just imagine that, but with chocolate ice cream and Sprite! (Haha, big help, huh? :lmao:)

I know, I have vague memories of 2 hour long lines in the blazing heat from all of my family trips...we always went in the summer and there were no FP's! But I guess it didn't phase me because I always loved Disney, even with all the waiting around we had to do! :thumbsup2

I don't go out of my way to eat toffee, but on that cake and ice cream, it's really good! Everything at LTT is always so good!

I've done 3 parks in one day too, and I've always wanted to try 4, I think that would be so much fun! Crazy and tiring, but fun! :cool1:

What a great MK day...you hit all the best attractions! An endless loop of the Peoplemover sounds like fun to me!

Yum, LTT! I do love that toffee cake. I tried to make it at home once, but it was a failtacular! :rotfl:

Thanks, we definitely did the best attractions that day! I love the Peoplemover, I could stay on there for hours!

OMG I want to make the 'Ohana bread pudding at home SO bad, but I'm afraid it will be a disaster! I wonder if any of the Disney recipes really work? :confused3

I love that you guys blew off Le Cellier to stay in MK, some days are just made for MK fun! :goodvibes

Ah yes, the pre-FP days. I was too chicken to ride Space Mountain growing up, but I do remember feeling like I was going to die of heatstroke while waiting in a two-hour line at Big Thunder Mountain. :crazy2:

That Rapunzel Christmas ornament is so freaking cute! I'm impressed at your restraint. I'm a hopeless Disney shopper, I could spend days at World of Disney at DTD (especially when it comes to the Disney housewares!)

I can't believe this trip is almost over, but I can't wait to hear what you've got planned for November. :goodvibes

Haha, I agree, I just had to stay in MK that morning, I'm so glad we did, it was fun!

Wow, I can't imagine waiting for BTMRR for 2 hours, in the heat! I probably would actually get heatstroke, with my issues! Ugh! Thank God for FP! :thumbsup2

Well, I did buy a few things, but I'm impressed with my restraint at the Christmas store! I just figured I'd be back later in the year and would do most of my shopping at that time! I love WoD, I wish I could win a shopping spree there or something!

I can't wait to start my PTR for November, hopefully in a couple of weeks I can start! I have to wrap this trip up first! :thumbsup2

That's pretty awesome how fast you made it through the SM queue!!! Hahaha I remember waiting for hours in the lines as well. Oh, pre-FP days...

I do think an ideal park touring plan would have multiple rides on the TTC on it. It's just the most perfect, peaceful ride!

I know, I can't believe it took no time at all to do SM! Ugh, weren't the pre-FP days the worst? :rotfl2:

The Peoplemover really is one of the best rides! :thumbsup2 I love just listening to all the futuristic sounds and looking out over Tomorrowland...it's perfect!

Yummmmm your desserts look so good! I love the apple cake, but have never had the toffee one because we have only eaten there for dinner.

I love Splash Mountain and am glad you did not get soaked! We always seem to get the back seat, so we never get soaked.

Sorry I have been MIA for awhile. I have been going through heavy duty DW withdrawl. I have gotten used to going twice a year and that just isn't going to happen this year. I am just now catching up on everyone's reports and was glad to read two updates from you!

The apple cake is really good too! If I didn't get the toffee cake, I would have definitely gotten that!

I think from now on on Splash I'm going to request the last seat so we don't get soaked! Unless we're leaving the park, then I don't care! I just hate walking around wet, it's so uncomfortable!

Aww, that's ok, I can understand Disney withdrawl! I'm going to be a mess next year because I'm going with my sister in Feb. but that's it for a while! I need to make the most of these 2 trips because I'm going to be needing some therapy after!

Ahhhh, your morning/afternoon at MK sound so...PERFECT. :lovestruc

I love that you 'gave up' Le Cellier b/c you didn't want to leave the MK. I wouldn't have wanted to leave and sometimes it's hard to make those decisions. On our trip last October, Greg and I were definitely okay with cancelling ADRs and I'm sure we will be just as flexible in November. :)

It was pretty perfect! I love MK!

We're pretty flexible with our ADR's too, unless it's something we really want to do, (which is usually Le Cellier, or 'Ohana) we don't mind canceling and rearranging things! I actually have 3 ADR's for Le Cellier for November so I'm sure we'll be canceling one or two, once I figure out our plans!

the last time i saw mickey's philharmagic it was all out of focus too. and after, i looked at my mom and told her that i love it but it was blurry this time [like double vision] and she said it was the same for her too. it was fine the year before, but we were sitting nearer the middle and this last time we were on the very far right so i think that was our problem

Huh, that's strange! It seems blurry to me every time, but I never thought to try different sections of the theater! Maybe I'll give that a shot! :thumbsup2

Sounds like a perfect MK day!!:cloud9:

Great update!!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks, it really was! :cheer2:

I've been to LTT for lunch once... it was a yummy meal! I, too, had the Sticky Toffee Cake for my dessert, I think it was the best part of the meal, LOL!

LTT is so good! The dessert is always good, but that pot roast...OMG I love it! I wish I could cook pot roast like that! :thumbsup2

Great update! I love that you canceled Le Cellier for more MK time. Sometimes going with the flow can be so hard when you've spent so much time coming up with the perfect plans, but it seems like you made the right choice. Plus, your new meal at LTT looked great!

I love all of the castle pictures that you got. Makes me want to be there right now! :goodvibes

Thanks! It was hard canceling Le Cellier because we both love it so much, but we had so much fun in MK it was worth it! And LTT was awesome, it's really almost as good as Le Cellier! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Ahhh, I want to be there right now too!

Sorry for the long absence, but I'm back! ;)

Yay so glad you're back! I'm so excited for your new TR!

I agree, the angle of watching the fireworks from the Contemporary are a little weird. It's strange to see it when you're not straight on looking at the castle.

It was weird! It was fun, but I'd rather be in the park!

Ugh. Sharing a row with people on Pirates. That's just weird. I've never had that happen before either.

It was weird, and very awkward. Next time I'll just take up the whole row!

Yay, your first DIS meet! No need to be awkward, we're all weirdos in our own way. :lmao:

Well I'm definitely awkward and weird, but it was nice meeting Alicia! When are WE going to be in WDW at the same time?

TURKEY LEG SHAPED RICE KRIPIE TREATS?! Genius! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2

Disney ducks are the best kind! I love them. And sleeping on top of a bush? That's just awesome.

Um, I take my riding very seriously too! :rotfl2:

Haha that CM was great! And I love how into Disney Brandon gets when he is there, even though he complains about it all year! :rotfl:

Mmmmm, fish and chips and giant beer? That's just great.

That's horrible that you were feeling so terrible! It must have been scary, I would have freaked out myself. It could be that your electrolytes were down, which is why you were feeling so strange. Gatorade and Powerade replace your electrolytes. If you drink too much water, you can actually flush out your electrolytes, which is not good.

OMG it was awful! I realized the Gatorade actually made me feel better in the heat so I just kept drinking that for the rest of the trip and I was fine! I didn't know water could flush your electrolytes, that's annoying that you are supposed to drink water to stay hydrated, and yet you can still get dehydrated! UGHHHH!!!

That cheesecake looks AMAHZING!

That sucks when the ride you are looking forward to riding the most is closed when you get there. :(

ToT being closed was so horrible! I really almost cried!

Yay, you lost 9 pounds so far!! That's great! (I'm still reading, but that's the point I'm at).

Thanks! :cool1:

I have yet to eat at LTT for lunch, but man all of that food looks soooooo good. The main reason I want to go is for the toffee cake, I'm not gonna lie.

That's a good reason to go, the toffee cake is SO good!

Great update, Jen. You got a lot done staying at the MK longer (although that line for Peter Pan looks scary).

Mark would love that pot roast (I don't eat it)...I'm thinking we'll have to get back there one day soon.

I can't wait to hear if you hit all three parks.

Thanks! The line for Peter Pan did look scary at first but they just checked our FP's and we went right in and pretty much walked right on, it was nice!

LTT is really good, I love the pot roast there! :thumbsup2 Pot roast is like chicken parm for me, if it's on the menu, I have to get it, it's so good!

PhilharMagic is pretty much the reason I got LASIK...haha, well, not COMPLETELY the reason, but it--and the Muppets, and not having to switch between regular glasses and sun glasses every 10 minutes in the parks--is much better since the procedure. :thumbsup2

Haha, I guess that's a good enough reason to get LASIK! My eyes aren't that bad, I barely even need glasses, just for driving and and watching TV and stuff...but maybe I should try wearing them for Philharmagic!

Where has Joyce been lately? Taking a DIS hiatus? :upsidedow

Yeah me!

Haha, I'm sorry you couldn't see my pictures! Don't you hate when you read a TR and thought you commented and then realize you didn't? I do it all the time!

I know, he's weird! He's so adventurous with what he orders sometimes and yet so boring other times! :confused3

The Christmas store is so cute! I wish I could get a job in MK in that Christmas store! I bet that is hard to get into, though! Who would ever want to leave that job? :)

I always feel like the Philarmagic glasses are bent and I cant see right :rotfl: but its such an awesome movie!

I really want to try chocolate ice cream and sprite now!!

Haha, I know, they are really weird glasses! It is such a great movie I love it!

Chocolate ice cream and Sprite is the BEST! I love Auntie Gravities and all the floats they have!

Wanted to check in on your pictures and they are really outstanding. the castle pic, the splash mountain pic, and that final pic really caught my eye. Strong work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! Thank you! I'm actually considering buying a real camera for my November trip, you know...I just have to do more research and talk to my photographer friend to see if it wouldn't be a huge waste of money for me! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you really took advantage of staying in the MK. A great start to the day and Stormalong Bay up next? Sounds nice, wish every day was like that!

We definitely did, it was a lot of fun! Ahhh I miss Stormalong Bay!!! I wish every day was like that too!

Haha, another one! (See MEK's first comment! :rotfl:)

It was a great MK day! I need to go to MK more on my next trip! Like every other day or something. I'm never there enough.

Ugh I'm going to give the double glasses thing a try! I love Philharmagic but it's always a little off looking! :rotfl2:

My favorite is a Dr Pepper with vanilla ice cream. Yum! LoL

Haha ME TOO!! I couldn't believe he got it! And it's the first day there!!!! Great way to start off the vacation :D

Where has Joyce been lately? Taking a DIS hiatus? :upsidedow

We've had a ton of stuff going on...helping friends settle in to their new house and put up a fence, a few parties, plus she's been pet sitting for two places and is now down to one...I'm sure she'll be back on soon. She just got some new clothes and bathing suits for the trip that she's super excited about, so I'd guess she might add that to her PTR soon :)

Never had a sprite float, but it looks good! And, that dessert at LTT....WOW! It looks wonderful!

My favorite is a Dr Pepper with vanilla ice cream. Yum! LoL

Haha ME TOO!! I couldn't believe he got it! And it's the first day there!!!! Great way to start off the vacation :D

OMG that actually sounds really good! I LOVE Dr. Pepper! :cool1:

Yay! You are going to love starting off vacation with Le Cellier, it's awesome! OMG I cannot wait to eat there again! :hyper:

Wow you guys are busy! :upsidedow I feel like I have no DIS time lately, I'm lucky if I can get on here for 30 minutes at night! Hope she makes and appearance soon and updates her poor neglected TR...:wave2: :rotfl:

Never had a sprite float, but it looks good! And, that dessert at LTT....WOW! It looks wonderful!

OMG it's SO good! I'm probably going to get another one in November! And the dessert at LTT was amazing! Yum! :thumbsup2

wow!!! congrats on the 9lb weight loss!!! That's SO great! I started training for my May 5th 5K last Nobember and by the time the race came around I had only lost 6LB. Which I unfortunately have now gained back :( I should look into a gym membership - Do you go to a gym?

Sprite and choc ice cream is an odd float combo. LOL I will have to try it sometime though cuz you just never know :)

That toffee cake looked SO AMAZING!!!! I've never heard of it but would LOVe to try it some day!
