This is your 24th Anniversary? But you're so young!~A 5/12 TR!*PTR link pg 49, 9/14!*

I'm sad you didn't get to go on ToT or RnRC, BUT I get the same way and assume it's the "last time", when in reality, it doesn't have to be! haha!!!! :D

LOVE that you got a turkey leg to bide some time!!!! LOL It looks so good too!!!!
Turkey leg air freshners? hmmm

I know, it was sad not going on either one of those rides, but I guess there's always next time right? :thumbsup2

Yum, I love turkey legs! I'm curious about the air fresheners...I will probably buy one just to see what it smells like! :rotfl:

Although I wouldn't be upset if RnR was closed, I would probably have been close to tears myself if TOT was closed.

I love One Man's Dream...so much to see; I want to spend a little longer there this trip.

I love RnRC, but I wouldn't have been crushed if it was closed. ToT is another story though, I'm pretty much obsessed with that ride! :yay:

One Man's Dream is great! I tried to look at everything this time, but I know there are still things that I missed! I'd like to spend more time there too!

My DH has to be the voice of reason at Disney, too. I get so emotional about it all, and he has to tell me, "Hey, it's OK!"
When we were on the Great Movie Ride, our narrator had a squeaky voice like Minnie Mouse. Some people were making fun of her, which I thought was just plain rude. I loved our gangster, though, because when we got to the Alien scene, she said, "Oh, God," just like Veronica Cartright does when the Alien pops out. My family all knows I love that part of the movie, so everyone looked at me and laughed. It's a "thing" in our family.

Haha, yeah, DH"s probably have to be the voices of reason at Disney a lot! I doubt very many men get emotional about Disney! :rotfl2:

Aww, I would never make fun of a poor CM doing that job on the Great Movie Ride! It must be hard to remember all of the things to say! I mean, ours was a bit weird, but I would never have laughed at her or anything!

Go for that 5k girl!! I want to do one so bad! I'm gonna try the Couch to 5k program.

EMH at DHS are awesome!! You must have lucked out that first time being able to go back and forth. I think you are right about EMH being more popular now.

I would have broken down in tears right in front of the CM. ToT is my favorite and I wouldn't be able to hold it in. So props to you for not breaking down in tears!!

I hope you get to go on it before you leave.....can't wait for another update!!

I want to do a 5K SO bad too! I want my first one to be a Disney 5K! I tried the Couch to 5K last year and I got to week 3 and got stuck...then it got really hot and I gave up. I was in so much pain from wearing the wrong shoes and I could NOT run for 5 minutes straight no matter how hard I tried...this time I want to do each week twice to make sure I'm ready to move on to the next week. The first and 2nd weeks were hard, but they were do-able but the 3rd week? Forget it! :sad2: I really have to invest in some good running shoes before I start!

I think we did the same thing the 2nd year at EMH's at DHS, but that's it. They do seem really popular now, I guess that's why all the experts say to avoid them! I can't help it though, I love being in the parks late at night!

Haha, well, I wanted to cry! I was so upset, but I think I got more mad than sad so I probably went on some rant to Brandon about unfair life is or something obnoxiously dramatic like that! :rotfl2: I can be really ridiculous in Disney. Disney problems. :rotfl:

More plan changes? :faint: you crack me up - mostly because I can't keep track of all your changes.

I think Feb is a fantastic time to go. In fact, I was toying with that idea, but decided to just stick with my original plan of HHI in the spring.

Congrats on BLT. It's such a great location. It's going to be a little weird for you, being such a BC fan, but its a great change. The room, however, is on the small side. ENJOY!

And good luck with the running. Just remember you will hate it at first. You really will have to force yourself to get out there. Treat yourself to a new pair of running shoes. Its worth going to a specialty store (running store) and have them fit you. I love Asics. I have a wide foot and a high instep and they are the BEST!

Very excited for you!

Haha I can't keep track either! I'm hoping this trip sticks, because I really want to do the Royal Family 5K! Running through Epcot sounds amazing!

I'm definitely going to go to a running store, I've been researching running shoes and apparently you have to know which kind of runner you are to know which kind of shoes to get so I have to have an expert tell me. I have no idea if my feet lean in or if they are normal or what...and I don't want to be in pain! That's part of the reason I gave up last year, my feet hurt SO bad! I hear good things about Asics for running shoes, I'll check them out! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to stay in BLT! I love BC, but I also love the Wilderness Lodge and that's kind of the same location, so that will be awesome! And you're practically inside the Magic Kingdom! I'll probably love it and not want to stay anywhere else! :rotfl:

Boo for TOT being closed!!! Hopefully you were able to ride it another day!

I totally agree about GMR...new movies, new spiel, new SOMETHING! Please! It's a really great ride, with even better potential, but I feel like it's just so wasted!

I know, I was crushed when I saw that ToT was closed. :( First the Peoplemover then ToT. Bad luck with EMH's this trip! :rotfl:

I love GMR but they have to spice it up a little! They should focus it more on classics that people know and throw in more Disney movies too! :thumbsup2

This is the Castle from Paris. It looks like.
I love our Castle :)
I took this photo in july the 20 th.

That is a beautiful picture, thank you! I hope to get to visit Disneyland Paris someday! :thumbsup2

Congrats on training for 5K!!:cheer2:

I hear you on the disappointment about ToT being closed. I have been preparing myself for our upcoming "Test Track-less" trip in Oct. I am still sad about it and I have been thinking about it for months. We still haven't told my DS. It's his absolute favorite so we are hoping to lessen the blow if we tell him when we get to the park.:sad2:

Yay for double digits and your upcoming stay at BLT!:thumbsup2

Thank you! I haven't started yet, but I have been walking and trying to get into shape so that when I do start running it won't be a total shock to my body! I'm actually looking forward to it, I just wish it would cool off a little! It's so hot, I'm so done with the summer!

Ugh, yeah, I wasn't happy about TT being closed on our trip, but at least I was prepared for it! Your poor DS! Are you sure you don't want to mention it before your trip? It might be easier knowing it won't be open when you get there, instead of anticipating it, then finding out it's closed! I wish they'd hurry up with it, I feel like it's been closed forever!

Thanks! I can't wait for BLT! :dance3:

YAY for double digit countdowns! :cool1:
I agree 100% about the GMR, I love it and most or some of it should stay the same, classics and all, (although last time I rode it, the munchkins needed some serious maintenance!) but a few updates would sure be nice!
Aww how sucky that ToT was down!! I hope you got another chance!

Yay! I love the GMR too, but they really need to do something to make it a bit more exciting! That Wizard of Oz part is amazing, though! But yeah, the munchkins do need some help! :rotfl2:

Ugh, ToT being down was so annoying! :(

Hooray for double digits!! How exciting that you'll be at BLT...so cool!!

I loved your "devoured like cave men" comment about the turkey leg because that's exactly how I feel about it. I can't say no to the turkey leg, but there's no way to eat it in a civilized fashion!

Bummer that you didn't get to ride ToT that night, but hopefully you will before the trip is over!

Thanks! I can't wait to stay at BLT it's going to be so amazing!

Haha, no there is definitely no good way to eat a turkey leg! I usually pull it apart and eat it that way, I don't take huge bites out of it, but even tearing it apart is cave-like! :rotfl: Oh well, only in Disney!

Not riding ToT at night was so depressing! I still can't believe it was down! :sad1:

Sorry your ToT plans didn't quite work out the way you'd planned, but glad you were going to get back over there-or so it sounds!

I have never tried one of the turkey legs!! Have you seen the rice krispy treats shaped like the turkey leg? That's a little weird, but not as weird as the air fresheners!

That's ok, it was disappointing, but it was still a good night at DHS!

WHAT? You should try a turkey leg, they are SO good! :cool1: I did see the rice krispy treats shaped like turkey legs they are adorable! I'm so getting one in November! And the air freshener! That's so weird, but I have to get one! :rotfl:

Wow, OK, so I totally missed that your sister trip is postponed. But that's awesome you're going to be staying at BLT. If I end up having to cancel my December trip and have to settle on spring break again (I know, poor me ) I'm hoping to get BLT. That'll make up for not getting to see Christmas decorations. haha!

Bummer about Tower of Terror being closed. I hate when favorite rides are broken down.

Eww, I heard about those Disney air fresheners. None of them sounded all that appealing. They should do an orange-scented one like from Soarin.

Yeah it got postponed, but only for a couple of months! I'm excited to go in Feb., I like going at different times of the year! I can't wait for BLT! I hope you get to go on your December trip, I know you've wanted to see the Christmas stuff for a while, but if not, going for spring break and staying at BLT sounds pretty great too! :cool1:

Ughhh, ToT being closed was awful! My absolute favorite ride! :(

Haha, I think some of them sound ok...a Mickey Ice Cream bar? That sounds yummy! I'm guessing I'll buy all of them, because I'm a freak and I love weird stuff like that, even if it ends up being gross! :rotfl2:

I wasn't sure about those turkey leg air fresheners either. Turkey legs smell great in the parks, but I don't know if I want my car smelling like that.

How disappointing for ToT to be closed! I hope you caught it with short lines later in the trip. I've found the ToT wait times to be very reasonable since TSM opened, but I haven't tried it during EMH yet.

Haha, I don't want my car smelling like a turkey leg either, but at the same time, I think it would be hysterical to drive around with a turkey leg air freshener! :rotfl2:

ToT is usually not so bad, depending on the day you go, but we always go on EMH days, which of course, are supposedly the worst days to visit that certain park! I just cannot resist EMH! I wish I could plan a trip according to crowd predictions and all that, but it's just too scientific for vacation! :confused3 :rotfl:

YAY FOR DOUBLE DIGITS! And that's awesome to hear you are thinking of running one of the Disney races. I've always wanted to since I've heard about them especially since they have rare characters out along the paths. 5Ks are a piece of cake so I'm sure if you are planning to train it will be easy. (:

Ugh, that stinks about Tower of Terror. Usually the crowds do tone down by the time the park is closing and EMH begins, but I guess not tonight :/ But GMR is always a good substitute though I think really, to get the Cowboy version, you have to ask because otherwise they seem to all be too involved with the Gangster.

One Man's Dream looks so cool! I hate how my friends didn't let me check it out. I hope I'll get the chance on my next trip *crosses fingers* And yes, that is the DLRP castle, I love how the design of everything there is so different. Really got to try that Turkey Leg, looks good.

I'm sorry that you had to leave because of the lines for ToT and RnRC, but Brandon is right, always another day (:

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Haha, I love how you say a 5K is a piece of cake! You must really be in shape! :rotfl2: A 5K to me is like I'm punishment...I know in reality it's only like 3 miles, but to someone who can't run longer than a minute right now...it's not looking so good! :rolleyes1 I do really want to get in shape and run a Disney race though! I hope to do the Princess Half someday!

People seem to be staying for EMH's more and more, the crowds don't seem to let up until the last hour now...and next year they're getting rid of that hour! Ughhhh!!!! :( I love you Disney, but don't take away the most magical hour of EMH!

One Man's Dream is amazing! I really really want to get a Walt biography to read but there are so many and it seems like a lot of them aren't accurate. He is just such an interesting person!

ToT being closed was just it for me, I just shut down when i saw that. :( I did check out TSM but the line was crazy and after that I was like "yeah I'm done." :rotfl2: I love DHS but I was so ready to ride ToT over and over andI just couldn't handle staying if it was closed, so depressing! But yeah, there is always another day! :thumbsup2

Sorry about ToT being closed, I hope you got to go on it???
Yeah for a February trip!! And yeah for the 5k! I would love to run a Disney race!! Good for you! And good for your sister for the half marathon!!!

I was so upset about ToT being closed, so I'm glad we realized we could go a different day, even if our trip was almost over!:yay:

I'm so excited for our Feb. trip! And to hopefully run the 5K, it's going to be fun trying to train for that! I can't believe my sister is really going to run the half....that's a lot of miles! But she's determined and is pretty good at running so I think by Feb. she will be ready! :thumbsup2 I feel like if she can go from never running to running a half marathon, I can definitely at least do a 5K!

99 days? Awesome! What are your dates? I'll be down there the 9th to the 13th!

Our dates are the 9th to the 17th, I think? :rotfl2: I'm thinking of adding a day but I'm not sure if I want to at the beginning or end...I'd also love to change the whole trip to December to see the New Fantasyland, but I'm not really sure Brandon would go for that! And I'd hate to miss the Food and Wine festival!

Ugh, ride closures are the worst! 99.9% of the time I'm the most sensible, patient person, but I'm like you when I discover my favorite ride's down. That tiny little part of you just wants to cry. You can't help but think about how far you've traveled, how long you've imagined riding the attraction, how elated you'd be to experience the joy again...and so long as you didn't, like, freak out on the CMs or anything, you were totally allowed to be a little sad.

Isn't it funny how our plans seem set in stone sometimes? I really hope you were able to get a second chance at ToT! I know it's your favorite!

And congrats on doing a 5K!!!! That's awesome. Obviously, I love runDisney so anytime I hear about someone signing up for an event I get really excited for them. Trust me, before I did my first Disney 5K, I was not a runner/walker. AT ALL. But then I fell in love with it, and now I'm hoping to hit up a half marathon one day. It's hard not to enjoy yourself when you have CMs cheering you on and you're in Disney World!

Haha, no I didn't freak out the CM's, I didn't actually go up to them, I just heard them tell someone it was closed, then I turned around and started walking the other way, holding back tears! :rotfl2: I suppose it was a bit dramatic but I can't help it, I love ToT!

Thanks! I haven't started running yet but I'm hoping by September I can start! I'm trying to get in shape and ready to start running now by walking every night and getting in the habit of exercising so that when I start it won't be a total shock to my system! I just really really want to run a 5K in my life and the Royal Family one sounds perfect! I'd love to do the EE challenge that you always do, but I'm not sure I could handle it in May, it's SO hot!

OMG I'M SO JEALOUS. You're staying at BLT????? I loved it so so so so much I want to live there!!! Ugh I want to go back!!!! :(

Now listen I love the smell of turkey... but like, I don't find the smell very 'fresh' if you know what I mean.

I'm sorry that ToT was closed but thankfully you CAN go back!!! :) :) :)

I know, I can't believe it! I was obsessing about BLT forever and now I get to stay there! I can't wait to see your pictures from your trip! :goodvibes

Haha, I know what you mean, smoked turkey smells great in the parks but in a car? That might be weird! But I'll probably get one anyway! :rolleyes1

ToT being closed was so sad. I'm just glad we still had a couple more days left on this trip! :yay:

Mmm, the fish and chips look delicious! I just made a quick dinner last night of the fried fish in the oven (the kind from the freezer). It does not compare to how yummy your meal looked!

Haha, how cute that they have their own F&G Festival in the little village at Germany!

Oh man, I'm so glad that the ice was making you feel better! That must have been absolutely awful to have that hot and cold feeling at the same time! When you sweat, you lose salt. That's probably why you were craving it. When I'm sick, I crave salt too. That's why Campbell's chicken noodle soup makes me feel better because it's so salty.

They really do have to update Great Movie Ride. Or at least they need to update the spiel. I'm tired of hearing the same stuff over and over again with like, mock enthusiasm.

Haha, Brandon always eats frozen fried fish too, and it's good but it definitely does not compare to Disney fish and chips! :rotfl2:

Yeah I thought you lost salt when you get overheated...but Brandon thought I'd dehydrate if I ate his margarita salt! :rotfl: He probably just didn't want to share, every time we get margaritas I try to steal his salt! I'm glad that CM gave me all of that ice, it definitely saved me!

Haha, I agree, I feel bad for the CM's who have to say that same spiel over and over. It could be really great if it was updated! :thumbsup2

YAY!!!! For the Royal Family 5K!! Go for it. I was SOOO glad I did the EE5k challenge and you will be so happy that you did it too. It's great to get some support here on DIS too - I'm sure there will be a thread going for it.

I agree with you, ToT is SOOO awesome!!! i'm so sorry it was closed :( That is a heart breaker!!! I can't believe how busy it was that late at night!!! I would have left too.

I never knew there was a cowboy scene in the Great Movie ride?!?! I've always had the gangster too.

Thanks! I am definitely going to try to try to run this 5K, I've wanted to for a while so I'm taking this Feb. trip as a sign that I have to do it! The EE challenge sounds like so much fun, I'd love to try that someday too! I just wish it wasn't so hot in May!

It's weird because there weren't a lot of people walking around the park that night but the lines were really long. I suppose if we waited longer it would have cleared out but I was too sad about ToT to stay any longer!

I think I've seen the cowboy scene once, a long time ago. I guess now you have to specifically ask for it! :thumbsup2

WHAT? You should try a turkey leg, they are SO good! :cool1: I did see the rice krispy treats shaped like turkey legs they are adorable! I'm so getting one in November! And the air freshener! That's so weird, but I have to get one! :rotfl:

Haha, I don't want my car smelling like a turkey leg either, but at the same time, I think it would be hysterical to drive around with a turkey leg air freshener! :rotfl2:

One Man's Dream is amazing! I really really want to get a Walt biography to read but there are so many and it seems like a lot of them aren't accurate. He is just such an interesting person!

If they're smart (and we all know Disney usually is) they should pick out one smell from the turkey roasting, like sage maybe? Our eldest is vegan, and when I cook a vegan tofurkey roll (which I sometimes do), I put a lot of sage in the pan to make it at least smell authentic. I don't think that would be too bad in the car.

I'm pretty sure I told you I got back from our Disney/Boston trip last Wed. with a bad case of bronchitis. It turns out it's PNEUMONIA! So mark me as another who nearly died for Disney. DH says I just had too much fun.

I've been watching a lot of TV while I recuperate, including a Disney biography that was on the other day. I thought of you. If you ever get a chance to come to S.F. (about 50 miles north of me), you have to visit the Walt Disney museum. You can spend at least one whole day there just learning all about him. It's heavenly!:littleangel: They also have a theater where they show Disney home movies as well as Disney films.

Great update! Amazing pics from the GMR...I can't remember the last time we saw the cowboy scene, but it's been years!

I enjoy One Man's Dream too! Aww...I know exactly how you feel about ToT being closed....been there done that...not fun! Hope you get on it later in your trip!

Thanks! Yeah it's been years since I've gotten the cowboy scene too...it's just so weird how no one ever sees it!

One Man's Dream is great! It's like a little Walt Disney museum right in the park! :thumbsup2

I was sad about ToT, but at least there were still a couple more days to go on it!

I am so glad you had the flexibility to hopefully get back and ride ToT. What a bummer to find it down.

Your new plans sound great. I am not a runner at all...I wish I was, I would love to do one of the races...but I would be falling over dead at the end...well actually close to the beginning.

I didn't think we had the flexibility to go back to DHS, but sometimes you just have to change your plans! I always forget that you're allowed to do that in Disney! :rotfl2:

Haha, I"m exactly the same, I'm not a runner at all, that's why I'll need 6 months to train for a 3 mile race! It will take me all of those 6 months to build up to that, trust me! I don't even care about running fast, I just want to be able to complete the thing without taking any walking breaks, that's a good enough goal for me! :thumbsup2

All caught up on your TR now! :)

Awesome new room. It's funny how something bad like all that noise can end up working out for the best in the end! But omg, that alligator. I would be so alarmed if I saw an alligator anywhere on Disney property except AK. Even though those are crocodiles, whatever, same thing to me haha.

You are right... Stacey is the QUEEN. Brandon is just too stunned by her overwhelming fabulousness to truly appreciate her. It's sad, really.

What a successful morning at DHS! AHH I am WAY too hungry right now to be looking at pictures of those heavenly cupcakes. 2.5 more months and those babies are MINE!!!

That cake looks SO good, what a great surprise! I got one of those for my 16th birthday when we were at 1900 Park Fare and it was the like the best cake i've EVER had.

The Pork Tenderloin is what I plan on getting during our Oct trip, so I'm glad to hear yet another incredible review of it! I haven't been to CG in so long, but last time I got the Oak Fired Filet which was one of the best I've ever had. Ahh I just love that place so much. I got the slipper once too and it's just so fun! I mean, it's delicious, but even more so than that... it's fun. haha

I'm so sorry you got so ill. :guilty: I'm not surprised at all though that you felt much better after your nap. One of the things I swear by in Disney is sacrificing some park time to get some solid rest in the middle of the day. I always feel like a million bucks afterward.

I agree, going back forth between an empty ToT and RnRC is one of my favorite things to do! It's a tradition for my mom and I. :) I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to do it that night, hopefully you got to later on in the trip!

Yay glad you're caught up!

Isn't our BC room beautiful? I could live there, seriously. It's such a beautiful resort!

I wasn't a big fan of the alligator, but at least it was far away so it wasn't that scary...however, have you seen the video on youtube of the alligator at Splash Mountain? Now that is terrifying! Every time I go on Splash I look for an alligator at the end of the ride. If I ever seen one in there, you can bet I'm jumping out of that log and running for my life! :cool2:

Haha, you're probably right about Brandon, not understanding Stacey and her fabulousness. She is so amazing...I'm wondering if she is going to film anything new for the new Fantasyland? And Test Track? :yay: I HOPE so! We need some new Stacey-isms!

I'd give anything for a Disney cupcake right now. If only I was rich and could hop on a plane, be in Florida in 2.5 hours, just to get a Disney cupcake. *Sigh*

Those little cakes are SO good! It was such an awesome surprise too!

OMG you are going to LOVE the pork tenderloin at CG! I almost got the oak grilled filet, but I had to go with the pork, since it's their signature dish! The polenta is seriously to die for. If I end up ordering it again in November, I might ask for extra...is that tacky to do at a signature restaurant? :rolleyes1

YES, resting in the middle of the day at Disney is essential! I sometimes wish I could just go commando all day, but I'd be dead in like 2 days. :rotfl:

Ahhh that's our tradition too, it's one of the things i look forward too when I plan a trip and think about DHS EMH nights! Sadly it didn't work out this trip, but hopefully it will in November! :yay:

I always get so stuck in my plans I forget that you can change things around too!

I hope you do the 5k in February, Disney races are sooo much fun and you get the best medals for doing them too!!

Haha, I know right? You forget that YOU are in charge of your own vacation! :rotfl2:

I hope I do it too! I really want a Disney medal (you get one for 5k's right?)

I am so in love with your Beach Club room! As much as I love the mods (Port Orleans!!), you really can't beat the theming and views of tee Deluxes.

The restaurant in England looks really great. For some reason, I never eat in England/Germany in Epcot - maybe because I've been to those places and I'd rather try all the other amazing pavilions? idk.

I'm sorry you felt so sick! I love the heat but I totally understand why people don't - it IS really scary to be dehydrated and overheated and everything. But it sounds like you did everything right (including the salt/electrolytes) so I'm glad you were feeling better. And at least you didn't have to deal with the buses to another resort?

Chicken parm is amazing. I never order it out (I don't eat pasta) but my boyfriend will always make it for me when I don't feel well/am sad/had a rough day. So comforting and amazing. Love marinara sauce!

People always complain about the hat in MGM but getting rid of the hat means getting rid of the stars! Blasphemy! Maybe if there was a stronger emphasis on Fantasia/movie history/Epic Mickey (heh) it would be more thematically consistent? I wish there was more things like One Man's Dream in MGM. Maybe even about the Disney Channel?

Congrats on a February trip and your 5K!

I love the mods too, especially POR, but the Beach Club is really beautiful! It's a special occasion kind of resort, though! :thumbsup2

Haha, I never eat in Germany either! I don't know why! I've never been there, but I have been to England, which is why I feel like I'm drawn to those fish and chips in Epcot...they are seriously almost as good as the ones in England! :cool1:

Ugh I hate the heat, I pretty much wilt in the heat...even today, it's probably 80 something degrees which isn't that bad, but the humidity is killing me, I've had an awful migraine all day...I wish I could live somewhere where it was permanently Fall! :rotfl2:

Mmm I love chicken parm, I could live on it! You don't eat pasta? I'm actually trying to not eat white pasta anymore, I've only been eating wheat for a couple of months, but when I go out, I suppose I'll HAVE to eat white pasta...it's so bad for you but it's just so good! :goodvibes

I love the hat in MGM, I don't see what the problem is! :confused3 I guess because they added it after the park was open? I think it fits, I like it! I wish One Man's Dream was bigger, actually! Next time I go, I have to watch the movie at the end, we always duck out before it starts but I'd like to see it! :yay:

The One Where We Do the Unthinkable!

Tuesday, May 8

So this is the beginning of our last full Disney day on this trip! :( I actually thought I'd be finished with this TR in August, but since I don't have a lot of DIS time right now, I'm hoping for September! I need at least 2 months to do a PTR for November and I'm SO anxious to start talking about that trip!

As always, I was the first one up, pretty early, before 8, because I wanted to get to try to get to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop this morning! It wasn't like we HAD to be there, but it's such a great way to start your morning in that park, don't you think? :) I woke Brandon up, made him get ready and we went down to the little Marketplace in the Beach Club to grab some breakfast really quick. We both ended up getting the ham and cheese omelet croissants, and we sat in the solarium to eat. I wish I took pictures of the solarium, it's such a pretty, peaceful place to eat breakfast in the morning, but for some reason, I didn't! Too busy eating, I guess!

Since driving to the MK is kind of a pain, we wanted to take the bus over in the morning, and then hop on the monorail back to Epcot for the afternoon. We walked over to the buses and there was a HUGE line for the MK bus. Now I'm not familiar with the bus system in Disney, because we always rent a car, but this line seemed pretty excessive. We took one look at it, turned around, and hopped in our car to drive over to MK!

It's a short drive from the Epcot area to MK, so within minutes we were seeing this

AHHHH!!! I can't tell you how excited I was for our morning in MK, it felt like we had no time there at all on this trip, so I really needed to immerse myself in the Magic Kingdom that day!

We ended up getting to the entrance right after rope drop ended! Like I said, it wasn't like I had to be there, but it would have been nice to see the opening show! Oh well, next time!

We walked in and I did something I never do...I went to the left instead of right! I know, big deal right? Well, no, not really, but it IS weird when you are used to entering MK on one side and you start on the opposite side! It was cool to see things that I always miss...like the firehouse!

We slowly walked up Main Street and stopped to watch the citizens sing about Main Street USA, and I'm pretty sure I got a little teary eyed! There is just something about seeing this song performed IN Disney World after you've been listening to it on your way to work every morning in your car for months! Or maybe I can just cry for any little reason at Disney World, that is entirely possible! :rolleyes1

We made it to the castle, and we took some photopass pictures that were of course awful, so I'm not posting them here! (Hopefully I'll look a lot better in November, I've been dieting and exercising for the last few weeks and have lost 9 pounds already so yay me! :rotfl2:) I then had to stop and admire the castle for a while, like it was my first time seeing it...poor Brandon, every single time I see the castle I do this, and he does not understand why, but he lets me take my time and look at it until I'm ready to move on!

When I was finally able to drag myself away, we immediately went to Peter Pan to get FP's. This is where we met the CM who thought we were married for 24 years and had no idea how it was possible! :rotfl2: She was a little crazy, but sweet! We grabbed our FP's with a return time of 10:20, which was about 30 minutes away.

We walked over to the Haunted Mansion, which said it had a 15 minute wait, but it was pretty much a walk on, woo hoo!

P1020425.jpg

I was trying to be brave in the stretching room, trying to get some pictures, but I could only manage one, I was afraid I would annoy everyone, even though I didn't use a flash or anything!

P1020427.jpg

On our way out, I finally had to stop at the pet cemetery to look for Mr. Toad...I knew he was there but I could never find him! Finally I did! Actually Brandon spotted him, then I zoomed in with my camera and got a picture, if Brandon didn't see him, I would have never realized it was him without my glasses on!

We still had some time before we could use our FP's, so we went over to Fronteirland, and I was getting kind of depressed. We only had so much time in MK that morning because we had another lunch ADR at Le Cellier, so around 12 we had to head over to Epcot. It was already after 10 so that didn't leave us much time for MK. So we sat outside of LTT for a few minutes, and I asked Brandon a question I never thought would come out of my mouth:

"Would you mind if we cancelled our Le Cellier reservation and stayed here for a while?"

:scared1:

I know, take a moment to let it sink in...ME wanting to cancel LE CELLIER.

What's even stranger than that? Brandon actually agreed! :faint: He loves Le Cellier even more than I do, so I thought he'd put up more of a fight, but he said he didn't care since we already ate there a few days ago! So we called Disney dining and cancelled our ADR (and paid the stupid cancellation fee...grrr!) and planned to stay in MK for a while!

We did want to eat at a TS for lunch though, so Brandon thought he'd go into Liberty Tree Tavern to see if they had any openings for later. While he was in there, I walked around the beautiful Liberty Square and took some pictures:

(Umm, can I live there? I'm sure no one would notice...I love Liberty Square SO much, I just wish there was more to do there!)

After a few minutes Brandon came out, and he got us an ADR for lunch later, yay! We both love LTT so we were excited to be eating there...I mean, it's no Le Cellier, but it IS really good!

It felt so good not to have a time limit anymore, like the whole morning and afternoon had just opened up and we were free! It's so awful how much I love Disney dining and the restaurants, because if I didn't, I'd LOVE to do an ADR-less trip someday, it is so nice not having to be anywhere at certain times! I mean, yeah, we had LTT in a few hours, but at least that was in the same park! But it was just such a good feeling to know that now, we could do anything we wanted! And what I wanted to do more than anything was ride my favorite rides in the Magic Kingdom! :cool1:

Up next...Fun at the Magic Kingdom!!!

Awww, yay for Magic Kingdom!

Hahah I don't blame you for wanting to cancel Le Cellier! You can only get so much MK time in your life, you know? And after a while, food is just food.

If you need a roommate, I'll take you up on that. Although we might need to install some plumbing...

Great job on the 9 lbs. I know it's such hard work, but so worth it to feel good at WDW.

That's kind of creepy to have Mr. Toad in there. Like if they put Snow White in the human cemetery, since they took her ride out, too.

We hardly make ADRs, because it seems to take up so much of the day moving from park to park. I think you made the right call. :thumbsup2

Boo for the cancellation fee!!???? Whats up with that? Good decision though, i would have done the same.
I LOVE Main street in the morning...one thing we dont do enough of is enjoy the singers, the Mayor, etc I'm guilty of running down Main st and hitting the attractions. So thats awesome that you got to enjoy that!
You guys also Patriot's fans or just the Sox....???

Isn't it strange how we all get into our own little routines at the parks? I think it's funny how you said you entered on the left side for the first time because we ALWAYS go in on the left side and never the right (unless it's for one of the parties, haha).

I think canceling your ADR was a good idea, especially if you had already eaten there earlier in the trip. Gotta make the most of your time at MK! You should try an ADR-less trip sometime...you can do it. ;) It is really nice not having to worry about making your reservation.

Random side note, but since you mentioned Liberty Square, I have to tell you that when we were in Boston I saw a street that was called Liberty Square (that might fall under a "you know you're obsessed with Disney when..."-LOL) I should have taken a picture of it! LOL.

:faint::faint::faint: Seriously, I almost fell out of my chair when I read that. As you know we weren't happy with LeCellier last year and I didn't even attempt to get an ADR this year, so I personally think you made the right choice. I'd take more time in the Magic Kingdom than an ADR any day. I know how you feel about when you see the castle...whether it's the first time or the 100th time.

Im shocked you guys gave up Le Cellier, but honestly I probably would have too. Especially since you had a chance to eat there already and MK is just sooo well magical :thumbsup2

Oh great, now I'm going to have to sit through another great review from LTT aren't I?

I really want to squeeze it in on our trip but I'm heading into the 2 adrs a day territory and I am trying not to do that. But booking LTT and being so close at BLT is soooo tempting.

:eek:I can't believe you cancelled Le Cellier. Are you still going to eat there each trip once it goes to 2TS?

Knowing how much you love Le Cellier, I am a little surprised to see you cancelled your ADR. I would have never thought that possible, but sometimes it's just easier staying in the same park rather than run back and forth. Plus, it sounds like you and Brandon were having a great time relaxing and soaking up the MK, and you should grab those opportunities as much as you can, right? :goodvibes

YOU cancelled LE CELLIER!?!?!?!?!?!

;)

I bet it was nice though, to have "free" time and no restrictions and be able to spend more time in MK? :)

BOO for last day, though!

Yeah for more MK time! I have never seen any of the citizens on Main Street. Hopefully this time I won't have such blinders on and will notice more around me!

LTT is a good option though! Hopefully your meal there did not disappoint!

sounds like a very relaxing morning at MK! I have to stop and take in the castle too, so you are not alone on that fact!! I can understand cancelling you reservation. When you're really enjoying yourself and want to take your time its a good idea! I love Liberty Square too. Its so precious and quaint!

:yay:

Oooh, that's good to know! My group kind of went overboard with the fish'n'chips when we went to England (it was cheap! We were poor!) so I burned out on fish'n'chips. I think enough time has passed to give them another shot, though.

Nope, no pasta here! idk, just never liked it but I love all the flavors of Italian food. Just very difficult to find an entree that I like where I'm not wasting half the food.

I guess because now people can't see Graumann's Theater? It would be better if that silly stage wasn't in front of it -

Haha, by 'left side of MK' I thought you meant Adventureland. Oops! Starting on that side of the park can be fun too :)

I think Liberty Tree Tavern is a good substitute for Le Cellier! That whole area is so quaint (and much, much bigger than the Canada Pavilion. That's a nice bonus, I think. Le Cellier always seems so.. cramped).

I'm very intrigued about the PTR though. Some special surprises for that trip??
