I'm home again with Owen today... fever was lower this morning so I think we're on the mend. Hopefully he'll go back tomorrow. The whole school goes to the local water park every year and yep, that is happening tomorrow.

I'm glad he seems to be on the mend. Oh goodness....I hope he can make it to school tomorrow. That would be a major bummer to miss the water park day! What a lucky school!!! My school never did anything cool like that when I lived in Florida.

Yeah, it's kind of a big deal. Parents do have to pay for their kids to go though... it would be *totally* awesome if it was free!

I'm not going this year. I get to stay at school and get stuff done for the end of the year. Don't feel bad ~ I am super happy about it! Ahhhh.... it will be so quiet!

I know "happy" is a stretch but I hope you can at least smile at some point today. Maybe instead of the call that you will not get this morning you can take a moment and think of a happy memory you have of you and Kathy. If you sit and let your mind go to a happier time maybe you will feel her with you.

Thank you. I started okay today but I went to go text message Loren's best friend about something and my phone keeps all conversations. I accidently opened the one opened Kathy's and my text conversations. It stung.

Michele! I know what you mean... I had to manually move my contacts to my new phone because they couldn't get it to work at the verizon store. When I came to my friend Liz that passed away last year it hurt all over again.


I think Owen will be just fine tomorrow. He hasn't had a fever since this morning and he's been up and around playing and saying he's bored. Yep, time to go back to school!

Oh I am so sorry. I remember when my best friend Kim was killed by a drunk driver when we were 19, when he went to trial it brought all of the feelings back. And living in what was a somewhat small town when he was released from prison it was in the headlines again so all those old feeling were back again.

Yeah, it sounds like Owen is ready to go back. I love how quickly kids heal.
