Leah,

My birthday was kind of a wash this year. Next year we will have a blow out. Kathy died on Scotty's birthday and the next day was my birthday and I wrote Kathy's obituary. So, don't stress okay?

I would rather you worried about getting you well and on the road to coming to Disneyland to party with me!!
I know I called you in the middle of all that to add more stress and of course I feel bad I couldn't be there for you like I would've liked!! You were there and are there for me through all you go through!!
I am anxious to get better so I can start treatment to get better and go back to work and go to DISNEYLAND!!! Oh YEAH!!! It'll be 21 years this summer since I've been to the Land!! Of course the Land, the World, Anything Disney I'll take and go if I get a chance!! :thumbsup2

Ya'll are the Best!!! One thing about being down like this is I have more time to get on the internet. Unless I have a headache and then.... Well not so good idea!;)
I overdid it a bit this week with 2 Drs app. over an hour away each 2 more app. so I am paying for it yesterday and today. I stayed home from church this morning to rest so hopefully I'll get to go tonight. We have a small church and everyone is really understanding and helpful. They pull me up to the back door entrance that is closest to the sanctuary and I sit in the back with my pillow. We have some close friends I've known all my life that lost their Brother/Brother in law this past week tragically and as he used to live here they are having his visitation today, funeral tomorrow. I can't do the funeral but would like to go just for a minute on the way to church to show my support. I used to go there house a lot as a child and even oung teenager. She has been through a lot of what I am going through after 25 years of Chrones Disease. The most remarkable thing of all is a few years ago she was going in for her 11th or 12th surgery in the same area and the Dr wanted to do one more scan to make sure he put the incision in the right place. He couldn't find anything so he did a colonoscopy I think. Anyway he told her if he hadn't done her last 7 surgeries he would never believe it but her whole colon is there with NO scars or evidence of any surgery. It looked like an entire Brand new Colon and after major testing it showed she now Has NOTHING wrong with her. Not Chrones or anything else she had!! Miracles do happen and whether God chooses to give me one or not I am holding on to my faith in Him!
Love you all! :goodvibes

I think mine is better than Ryan's iphone.

thats cool :goodvibes

I have a full size keyboard as well as the touch screen which is a huge selling point for me.

I didn't get to go tonight. Not feeling too good so Mom and i both felt like I better not go anywhere. I am hoping it's just something I ate. I am not used to doing nothing. It's very hard for me. Especially to see how tired my Mom is though she would protest that. Braeton is a full time job not that I would trade him for ANYTHING!! Then theres me who is a full time job right now and on top of that she has to get Tyler back and forth to school. My Dad is still gone preaching and my nephew and his wife have been gone a few days so she's had us all. And she has multiple church duties etc... But she'll tell anyone She's my mom and and this is what Moms do! I know that but I like to be the one taking care of everyone!! But I know with this type of surgery and illness especially if I don't behave and be really careful I will make it worse on us all so I'm minding. Just had to vent for a minute and now I feel better! ;)

I know part of what you are going through really well. Feeling guilty because you need so much care is awful. I know. I finally learned how to take care of a lot of my needs. You know I am here if you need to vent.

Thank all of you for your care, prayers and concern!! It's one day at a time. I am feeling stronger every day and am trying to get everything in order so I can start Chemo as soon as I can. The good news is though it may take a little bit longer I am in the process of getting into MD Anderson! I figure if I have to have Cancer Thank God i am close enough to go there and still have my family be able to come back and forth to help. I am not quite 2 hours away from it and it's in the Medical Center where Texas Childrens is. Which is great if Braeton and I would end up in the hospital at the same time (which Please Lord No!) it would be easier on my family to have us close. And since MD Anderson is the teaching Hospital for all cancer Centers How much better could I get???
You all are Great! I may not have responded to all the text but I appreciated every one of them. I am hoping to get a new phone soon and one with a keyboard I can manage!! ;)
Now my brain is a little clearer i can get on here more often.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

I'm glad you have found such a good place for treatment. Lots of P&PD still coming your way from me and my fam :goodvibes

Disneyland can help heal anything :goodvibes

I'm going through my DHS pics and resting from overdoing it yesterday in the yard. Did weeding, weed eating, mowing, more weeding, cleaned up and set out the patio furniture and fire pit.

Today we went to see the new PoTC movie, it was pretty cool but the theater was PACKED. We never got to see movies opening weekend and now I remember why - ugh!

Hope to get some more TR posted tomorrow evening. Have a good week everyone ...almost Memorial Day Weekend. For our town that means a parade, fireworks, jetboat races, a carnival, and lots of bbqs.

I just hope enough of us take the time for the real meaning of Memorial Day as a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.

Our town is an Air Force town so Memorial Day, July 4th and the Veterans Day area big deal here and they do parades and the local bands play. But especially on Veterans Day. Every school has their band in it. Local car clubs have the veterans in their vehicles. They really do it up well.

That's good to hear. I used to live in Tucson, AZ next to Davis Monthan AFB and there were always a lot of events on the service-related holidays there too.

Yeah, it was a mess for sure. I'd rather wait until around the 3rd week and see it with a maybe 1/2 full theater.

Update in the works - looking thru pics and notes.

Your town's celebration sounds great, and God Bless America for sure!

Good Morning Kelly!

We have blue sky atm but the clouds move back in this afternoon. It looks like our whole Memorial weekend will have at least a 50% chance of rain.

I hope the breathing treatment helped and that your asthma gives you a break. I had to do one of those treatments once and it left me shaky as a mini earthquake :scared1:

Have a great Monday ladies! :)

Mike,

We are home to Travis AFB "The Gateway to the Pacific". They better honor the veterans here they support the economy.

I hope it doesn't rain this weekend. We need to have all of this strange weather to go away.:rotfl:

I miss living near an AFB. When I was a kid I used to climb on the roof and sit with binoculars and watch the flights. There were always patrols of A-10 warthogs and F-4 Phantoms in the sky when I was young.

They also put on really cool air shows.

But we do get a fly-over by a pair of F-16s on Memorial day from the area Air Guard station.

That is cool. Scotty grew up as an Air Force brat and he has had a life long love affair with airplanes. He still can tell you whatever plane is flying over. Every parade there is a fly over of some sort or other. He always gets as excited as kids get. I love it.

Leah, so glad you stopped by!!! Thank you for thinking of me, amidst your difficult time. Know that you are always, always in my heart, and in my prayers.
