WOO HOO on another trip :wizard:

He's a tad fussy. I started trying gripe water this week and I think it might be affecting him negatively. Some of the girls on another forum that I'm on were trying to tell me it's the nips I'm using (I switched him to fast flow a few weeks ago because he hated the slow flow) so they suggested I poke holes in the slow flows to give him more food at one time but reduce his air intake. Well, I tried that and he hated it. So I ordered some medium flow nips from Amazon. I'll try them when I get them but I'm not sure that he'll like those either. If stopping the gripe water doesn't help then I'm gonna talk to his pedi about it. Maybe it's the formula. Alex is sleeping right now but mama is frustrated LOL.

You're right, it really is going so fast! I can't believe he's already so close to being two months old! I'm not ready to go back to work yet :(

aww...poor mama and baby

Hopefully just a growth spurt. I know it takes a few months til they start sleeping good

I think medium will be perfect fit for him. I hope they come soon

If anyone missed it the other night, there was a cool special on tv called Walt Disney: The Man Behind the Myth

It is replaying on Feb 13th at 8pm Eastern Time on CNBC

:happytv:

Aww, poor little Alex. I know how hard it is when you're trying to find out what's wrong. It sounds like you are on the right track! I know when Eliza had growth spurts that she was not a pleasant baby...we could always tell. Of course it took me a couple of months to realize that's what was going on. Between teething and growth spurts, I almost lost my mind!

I hope he feels better today! Nothing worse than a little one not feeling ok

:rotfl:Half of the problem is that my pics are all on hubby's laptop and I never think to upload during the day and then he comes home in the evening and works on it. I promise to have them up by early this week :thumbsup2

You know...Feb is one my most favorite times to visit Disney  We are maybe going in May and then probably for a short weekend for MNSSHP in Sept/Oct....that just can't be missed :upsidedow Not sure when next year but you never know ;) Yes, it took TOO long for that bug to bite :lmao:

Kelly...I just noticed you have over 29,000 post....HOLY CRAP!!!! I have seriously been slacking :rotfl:

Hiya Betsy! Would love see pics from your trip! ::yes::

Carla, does Alex seem fussier after he eats? I know we had to use Mylicon drops for all of our babies. We aslo had to put them all on soy formula. They just couldn't handle the regular kind.

What is gripe water? :confused3

Thanks Kelly. Yeah....just frustrating really. I'm pretty convinced now it's a growth spurt. He's been at the cusps of it for a week now. I think we're finally in the crud of it so hopefully it will be over soon.

Thanks Betsy. Yeah....growth spurts SUCK! I am not looking fwd to when he starts teething too. I just want a happy baby. These growth spurts seem to come back to back and he's seemed to have been on the verge of this one for a week or so now. I think we're finally in the crud of it.

That's awesome that you have so many trips planned. If you go for MNSSHP then it seems like with the time frames y'all are going your next time for a trip would be around next Feb. You should do it. You know you wanna meet me and Alex :goodvibes

Sometimes he does. Today he's just fallen asleep almost right after he eats so I'm 2nd guessing the gas/formula being an issue. I do give him mylicon and that hushes him up for a little bit. He's been eating and sleeping on a strange schedule today so I'm really thinking growth spurt like his 4 week one. It's not AS bad as the 4 week spurt but it still sucks.

Gripe water is something you can give them straight or mix in their formula. It's for colic and hiccups. I'm gonna stop giving it to him just in case it's hurting his tummy. We started him off on soy formula but he developed a wicked rash on his face from it so that's a no go.

Probably a good idea to take away gripe water for now and see if that makes a difference

I dvr'd the Walt special but I haven't watched it yet. Did you see the Pixar one last night? I thought that was really interesting!

Thanks Kelly :) Here's hoping my boy is back to some form of normal soon.

Welcome Michele

I am so sorry you were missed

After looking into it, we missed Nikki, OB and Uncle John as well.

I went them all PM

When texting you, realized we missed Leah too

We need to send her a link to both threads

Oh hey Kelly I know you didn't do it on purpose.

I am down to almost two weeks. I am really getting excited for this trip. I finally told my mom I am going I just haven't told her that I am going over my dad's birthday. She is apt to freak over it, which is irrational. He has been dead over 10 years.

I have the kids and Scotty sorted. He is taking vacation that week, so that he can do the mommy things.:rotfl: It should be a lot of fun. And I am so hoping that they learn to appreciate me more.

That is so exciting!!!

have you made packing lists yet ?

oh sweet...so he gets to be Mr. Mom

I hope they all appreciate you more too when you get back

I have to ask

why would your mom care if you go away during your dad bday if he is deceased? Does she have a party for him every year ?

You know I was trying to think of what I could do to help me to get more in a trip mood. I think lists will do it.

They will at least appreciate how much nicer I am about getting them up in the morning. Scotty has said he will use a cowbell to wake up Loren.

The girls will find that when their dad takes and picks them up from school that it will be different. The first time they yell at him or get disrespectful he will give them the bus schedule and money to ride the bus.

And they will have no choice but to cook what I buy groceries for or they will have sandwiches.

My mom, is kind of an odd situation. She gets all mournful around his birthday. And she seems to think I need to take her to the cemetery, that no one else will do. She needs to depend on other people.
