Hi Carla!! I hope mommyhood is treating you well.

Oh he appreciates me. The kids on the other hand take me totally for granted. I told them they needed to practice getting up on their own. Have they done it yet? No and they have two weeks to get it together.

There is no shortage of people who would take my mom instead of me. Scotty at the top of the list, it is that she is just as bad as my kids if not worse in the taking me for granted department. She will tell me that she needs to go places rather brusquely instead of asking me if I would mind taking her. It in a lot of ways is old age and the thought that because she is old she can get away with it, and I am getting tired of it. Sorry for venting.

Well that sucks about the kids but I have to say I took my Mom for granted too at that age. It's just the "I know it all" attitude and then when you realize that your Mom really DOES know what she's talking about and has onlly ever been on your side when you get older the mentality changes.

I hope your Mom decides to ask someone else. Maybe Scotty can take it upon himself to offer to take her so it's not an issue? Just a suggestion. I'm sorry you feel so taken advantage of. It sucks when people don't treat you right. Especially when it's family ((hugs)) and vent away! That's what we're here for. sounds like you really need this vacation.

Yeah it's not far at all. My Mom and I really started becoming friends after I got out of my teen years. So about 19 or 20 years old. Now I consider her one of my BFF's and I talk to her almost daily. I don't know what I would do without her. I'm sure your girls will embrace you like that once they get a little older and get out of that know it all phase. Then they will realize how awesome of a Mom they really have!

Is Alex better today? I know how frustrating it is when they are too little to tell you what is wrong with them. It makes it really hard. I can remember when I was told that there were different cries and that you could tell the difference in the cries. In three children I never really learned that knack. I love that picture of him and Lexie today.

Yeah, he's been much better today. Fussy a little tonight but not too bad. And you're right. It's SO hard to learn what cry means what. I'm trying but....Ugh!! I don't think there's much of a difference. Thanks She's her little guardian.

Well, Alex is awake for his last feeding of the night and then we're going to bed so I'll talk to ya later girlie!! Hope you have a relaxing evening!

FB has been driving me COMPLETELY batty lately. Everytime I try to do anything on there, it makes me log in!! And then half the time it says my password is incorrect over and over! (when its obviously not) For a couple of days I had trouble sending messages. It wouldn't let me "suggest" my business page at ALL.

I can seem to write on walls without a problem but I was not about to leave the link out there for just anyone to see

EEk, I really need to order a new video! I loooove watching them!! And every time I am getting close to a trip, I pull my whole collection out and watch them from oldest to newest. (if I was at my mom's house that would be a lot bigger collection. )

Chele -- I do kind of dread the teen years with 2 daughters...I know how I did NOT like my mom at times and didn't treat her very well. I also know that it is a part of growing up but I sure how the phase goes quickly. I'm so happy for you for your vacation at DL coming up!! I think it is just what the Disney Doctors ordered!

I was 4th out of 4 girls. When I was a teenager and "expressed my displeasure" with my mother, she'd smile and tell me I'd get over it.

I couldn't throw anything at her she hadn't already heard before... many times!


This is probably why the one and only time Abby ever told me she hated me ~ which was when she was about 4 years old ~ I ever so calmly said, "Yeah, you'll get over that."
