This is the last trip the 4 of us ever take to WDW. Nov 2-12 *FinalUpdate 3/19* Pg.59

We were in the baggage claim waiting for our luggage, when I started getting texts from Kathy asking about Coronado Springs- which day we were trying to add and our confirmation #. I ended up talking to Miss CSR too. She was going to talk to her contact and see what strings she could pull to add the last night onto our CSR reservation so we didn't have to move to POP. It was time to see how much pull Kathy actually has. LOL

Well, we all know how that turned out.

Anyway, we grabbed our SUV and started driving towards- not to- Disney. We were making a pitstop before looking for those gates. We were going to Give Kids the World!

We passed some power lines on the way....

Love seeing that!

We haven't been back to Give Kids the World since Juliana's Make-A-Wish trip in December 2010. Not only that but I was running in the Gingerbread Run 5k, a huge fundraiser at GKTW, the next morning and I had to pick up my race packet.

We had lunch at GKTW and did a little exploring.

I just want to gently squeeze those cheeks.

She's growing up, isn't she, Dad?

We also found Juliana's star in the Castle of Miracles.

Each Wish kid gets a star in the Castle of Miracles and there are over 100,000 stars in there. It is really moving to see. There are so many stars, they just finished an addition to house more stars!

That is just way too many stars for children.

A little ice-cream before heading over to CSR to check into our room.

Such a good big sister...you can tell she is a mother hen to her little brother.

We had a nice time at Give Kids the World. It was great to visit again. We packed the kids up and started our drive to WDW.

You guys did not travel light! Christopher must have known where he was headed to be that awake! Juliana must have been prepping him on what was to come when you all weren't watching!

I can't believe you were able to find Juliana'a star! Do they give you a map or have an index? Makes me sad there are that many sick kids that come though GKTW. Sounds like such a wonderful place!

We didn't know but they have each star cataloged. There are sections with markers. Even knowing what section, row, and #, it was still hard to find.

It is sad but knowing the work that GKTW does for all these families really means a lot. You can stay the week at GKTW and never leave.

Each star is cataloged by section, row, and #. So they looked it up for us. We knew the general area it was but there was no way to find it without help.

She remembered a lot. A few things she didn't remember. We have a lot of pictures from our Disney trips including GKGTW on a digital frame that she looks at often. I think that helps with her remembering.

What an amazing place GTKTW. I have a friend I went to high school with who just was there with her family, her DD has heart deformities, and they had the most amazing time. She said it has changed them all.
I agree, way to many stars.

GKTW is a place where you can forget about what you've been going through and just have a vacation away from it all. Every single volunteer we've come in contact with there was sooo nice. Too bad people everywhere didn't act like them. The world would be a better place.

There was no way I was going to be able to move all that luggage without a cart. I just piled it up and that is what it looked like.

No, not too much screaming. He did a little on the descent- I think his ears were bothering him a little. He just couldn't sit still on the plane. Nothing out of the ordinary for him though.
