THIS is still cold

last night they closed the ski resort near us.....and today we find out that they also closed shawnee peak.....sugarloaf....sunday river....they closed right before the sun went down.....much to cold to be out skiing.....can you believe this.....supposed to warm up tomorrow.....like in the low 20's......we can hardly wait

Brrrrrrrr!!!! Just how cold is it there?

It's bitter here as well... just checked and it says <b>-41 F</b> windchill. I'd love to go ice skating sometime soon again but it's much too cold now!

Woo, Pumba all the way up to 20? Isn't it strange how 20 degrees actually feels springlike after a week of subzero weather?

We are forcasted for a low of 11 Friday morning! Thats way cold for the deep south. Now if they would only throw in a little snow to make that cold more fun.

LOL! Pumba! ....yer should try living on one part of 'ter farm' which teuday had windchill values of -60F ! ....yer ski areas might have shut down...but did yer septic tank?

It is about 5 degrees here- forecast low is -7 with 30 mph winds, so wind chills at about -30! Not too bad except our horse has colic and the vet had to come......spent lunch hour walking her. Then dinner hour. Had to help my daughter muck the stalls and break the ice off of water buckets and put extra sawdust down, then give everyone extra hay. My wet glove FROZE- and my plastic headband got so brittle it broke in half!!!!!! Ugh! Now I remember why my parents hated having horses (oh the grown up view!)

good news- my husband made a wonderful dinner with hot chocolate when we walked in the house. Ahhhh!
