How many times do we need to give our flight information to DME? When I first booked my airfare, I called CRO and requested DME on 03/10/05, giving them my flight number. I called at about 30 days out to reverify all my resort #'s, PS#, tour #'s, and that they had my flight information. The CM at that time read my flight information off their computer, so I know they had it. When the ME 866-599-0951 number first came out, along with the posts that they didn't have people's information, I called DME and almost without giving me time to finish my last name and without even asking for my resort conf #, the CM just said 'yes we have you and don't worry and that if I didn't get my tags to just look for the CM in the blue coat with Mickey gloves.
I felt very uncomfortable with that call, because there was no way she had time to verify my flight info was in their system, so I called back the next day and sure enough they didn't even have me down for ME. A really nice CM took my flight info again and said I probably wouldn't get my luggage tags, but don't worry as the CMs at the airport would find my luggage and load it for me. I had asked her to please Fed Ex my luggage tags, but she said they had decided to stop that as there was just too many of them. Anyway I just called back to see if I could insist that they Fed Ex the tags. Well guess what, I'm still not in their system and had to give them my resort ressie # and flight information AGAIN.
She said some tags went out Friday and maybe mine was in that batch. I asked her how they could be, when the computer still didn't even have me down as requesting DME. She said 'well I guess you're right, but don't worry we will have lots of CMs at the airport to assist you. If I'm still not listed in DME's computer will they let me get on a bus and where will my luggage be? Again this is ridiculous!! Why can't they get me in the system?
