Alright, I admit I have about 9 videos I've accumulated over the years,(my favorite is actually the OLDEST one - which I think is from 1996 - the music "Remember the Magic" gets me every time!) I also turn on the TV first thing when we get in the room, and we use it as "background" music while we're getting ready etc. to go out. *****BUT***** the weirdest of ALL, is that we started this bizarre "tradition" by accident: the first year we went, the kids were real small, 3 & 4, and usually went to sleep around 7-ish, and DH & I realized that we were gonna get AWFUL BORED "waiting" for them to fall asleep, without talking or watching TV. (we don't let them watch TV at home - so it's a "treat" to them, and if it's "on" somewhere, they were like zombies to it - now they've kinda outgrown even the desire to watch it, since it's barely ever on at our house) We didn't know what else to do, and the FM radio in Orlando leaves a lot to be desired IMHO, so THAT was out. Then, I found that "What's Happening in the World" TV station, that gives you a constant loop (takes about 15 minutes) of the weather forecast, hours at each park, special events & fireworks times, and a couple of other things, and the WHOLE TIME, there's this really "campy", kinda weird but cute "Muzak" instrumental version of some fairly well-known "Disney" songs from popular movies, etc. like that, "I'm a Pooh Bear" or whatever the name of that song is from Winnie the Pooh. Now I know this sounds strange......but it knocked them right out! We left it on, with the doors of the hutch just about closed (therefore doubling as a nightlight) and voila! Sleeping toddlers! Fast forward to 5 years later, and we just went 11/28-12/5, and they begged me to still leave it on and it still works! I don't think they can sleep at WDW without it at this point! (we've been 6 times). I really hope they NEVER change that music! It's become a kind of inside joke, cult fad within our family, and we find ourselves sometimes humming those tunes, although I have no idea what they're called except for the Pooh Bear one! Does anyone out there know? I'd love to play a joke on my kids and somehow get a copy of that music - they would DIE laughing!!!! (or at least fall asleep on cue if they were getting on my nerves!)
