This Is A Poncho-Free Zone!--May 22-29, 2010 PTR (New PTR!!!! 5/31)

Wow! What a great outcome from the sale. Are you happy with it? I figured you would take the dresses again--they still fit and look great. You are doing a BBB with Ally again right? Are you taking the Belle dress for her to wear?

Such a cute hairdo for Dr. Seuss Day!! Did it make it the whole day?

Oh yes!!! I am VERY happy with the outcome!! Yes, I'm doing the BBB with Ally--Claire is still too young. We'll probably take her Cinderella dress again for that--it is the day we're eating at 1900 Park Fare!! Yes, Ally's hairdo made it the entire day!!! I couldn't believe it!!

Fun updates, the tea looked really nice. The hair was really cool!! Yay for princesses-Avery drew Tiana this weekend. She and Ally have similar spelling-so cute. Congrats on the sale-that is great! We are putting our old house on the market next week! Welcome back!

Thanks Mary!! The tea was awesome!! Isn't the invented spelling adorable?! So cute!!

You have so much going on right now!

Good luck getting your house ready to sell! I hope it sells quickly!

The Beauty and the Beast production looked like it was fun. And the food sounded yummy too!

How creative of you to do Ally hair using a bottle! Never would have thought of it. They did some Dr. Seuss things one week at Alex's school too. It was fun!

Yes, I do!! Brent and I are also narrating our choir's Easter musical. We're performing it Palm Sunday evening (on top of everything else)!!

Oh my goodnes....Ally and Claire look adorable at the Beauty and the Beast tea!!!!!! So sweet!!!!!

LOL!!!! I love Ally's hair up in the Cindy Lou Who!!!!! Girl, you are way talented!!!!!!! I would have never thought of using a coke bottle!!

Thanks Heather!! I didn't think of the idea myself--I Googled "Cindy Lou Who hair."

Shelby is too little for BBB, but I do plan on getting her 1st haircut at Disney, even though she doesn't need it :lmao:

Glad you are back! Sounds like an exciting time even though it is so busy. Wow, that Beauty and the Beast event looks amazing! They went all out. Very cool! :goodvibes

Thanks Kayce!! Yes, definitely exciting but busy!! :goodvibes

WOW! Congrats on putting the house up for sale!!! We own a real estate company, so I know how stressful that can be :goodvibes Let me know if you need any advice!

I have to ask...what will you do if you get a contract right around Disney time?! I can only imagine your countdown chain not being packed until the very end :rotfl:

I am so excited to hear about the houses you may buy! I am sure extra room will be so nice for all of the girl's toys and clothes :lovestruc

So happy you are back! I am just coming back tonight because my computer has been broken. Good to see you again and happy you are feeling better

Thanks Katie!!! The real estate agent is supposed to call me tomorrow--she's been in WDW for her daughter's cheerleading competition. I'm not sure what we'll do but I'm hoping we'll have one before then. This lasy is REALLY good. She sold my friend's home in 3 weeks around this time last year when the economy was at its worst. But we'll see. Thankfully our house is one of the smaller ones in our neighborhood. I'm so glad to see you back online!!

Awesome updates Becky! I'm glad to see you back on the boards. It wasn't the same without you!

Thanks!! You are too sweet!! It feels good to be missed!! :goodvibes

hey becky!! welcome back! thank you for sharing all of your pictures! The pictures from beauty&the beast are amazing! Their costumes are sooo elaborate and the tea with Mrs.Potts?! So cute!!! The pic of your DD's hair from Dr. Seuss day?!?! soo awesome!! I wouldn't have even thought of that! Can't wait for more updates!!

*keala*

Hi Keala!!! Thank you!! Yes! The costumes were over the top incredible!! It was all so well done!

I'm glad you are back!

Wow! You have been busy, haven't you? Good luck on getting your house ready to sell and on selling it, too! Have you started looking for one you'd like to purchase yet?

The Beauty & the Beast lunch looked amazing! I'll bet the play was, too. Your girls are adorable! What a great time!

You need a blue ribbon yourself for that Cindi-Loo Who hairdo! :worship: That is the cutest thing! Wow! Congrats on the essay contest!

Those drawings are great! My favorite is Ariel. :goodvibes

Thanks!! Yes, we have started looking and there are 2 homes for sale right now in the subdivision we really like.

Wow! You have been BUSY!! Good luck getting the house ready for listing! I'll pray for you that it sells quickly!

That is awesome that you did so well at the consignment sale! I participated in a large one here in Knoxville this past week. It was my first time consigning and I didn't take very much stuff because I wasn't sure how well it would sell. But most of it did and I made about $170, so I was very happy! Now I'm hooked! :rotfl:

Love the Cindy Lou hair! Very creative way of doing it with the Coke bottle! I never would have thought of that!

B&tB looks like it was sooo fun!!

Love Ally's drawings!

Okay, that's everything I remember. So glad that you're back, and I hope you feel better soon! :goodvibes

Thank you Julia!! I appreciate the prayers!! Oooh--$170 is not bad at all if you only had a few items!!! WTG!!!

Hi, Becky!! Glad to see you back-- I've been keeping up with your pictures on Facebook. That is terrific that the high school does activities like that for children-- our high school musicals were not so ambitious!
That's great that you're planning on selling your house--outgrowing it as the girls grow older?? Are you planning on staying in the same area? I'll pray that the selling of your current house and the buying of a new one goes smoothly!

Thanks Kylie! Yes, we really outgrew our home 2 years ago when Claire was born. Yes, we plan on staying in the same area!! The subdivision we're looking at is only 3 minutes from our current home!!

Shelby is too little for BBB, but I do plan on getting her 1st haircut at Disney, even though she doesn't need it :lmao:

That's what I'm doing for Claire since she can't do BBB--something special for her as well. But she really could use a trim!! :goodvibes

Just saw your status update on FB!! Praying for your uncle, Joni!! (((HUGS)))

Thanks Becky. There is more info in my PTR. We are all very scared & worried right now. I know you are a Christian & so is my family & I know you will pray (not the ones that say they will & don't....I mean why even say it?)

Ok. Thanks. I'll be sure to go and read your update on your PTR. Yes, I am a Christian and totally believe in the power of prayer. Our God can do amazing things--He is the ultimate Healer! Praying for healing for your uncle!

Yes He can Becky!

Wow, how exciting that you're looking for a bigger house! I hope you get over your strep soon-that's never fun.

Beauty and the Beast seemed like a lot of fun. I always wanted my school to perform it, but the rights are really expensive :sad2: I wanted to stay in the Broadway section of ASMu because B&TB is the theme there. I get my fix through the show at the studios :goodvibes

Ally was so cute for Dr. Seuss day. I bet most people didn't think of Cindy Lou Who. Her hair looked great-very creative to use to coke bottle! Congrats to her for winning the writing contest-she's obviously a very smart cookie. I love the princess drawings, they're all very good. Probably better than I could do!

Looking forward to more updates!

That is great news, Becky :thumbsup2 I am happy to see that you were able to find an agent that loves Disney World, too  I am sure your home will go quickly. It is a great thing that yours is one of the smaller ones in the neighborhood. That usually helps a lot!

I wanted to let you know that I have been looking at the dresses on the EBAY site you gave me. She has a nice Belle one that is Abby's size. She is SOOO reasonable! I am going to order it today. Thanks again for the info :goodvibes

Hi Becky,
Just spent the last 30 minutes getting caught up. Glad you are on FB because I seem to keep up with everyone better on there right now. You know exactly why I have been busy, decluttering, fixing stuff and packing up our house. It's really so much work isn't it?
So I see you need a bigger house too :goodvibes like us. I think we have similar type houses right now from our FB pics. All brick ranch 2000 sq ft. Anyway I hope your house sells quickly and you are able to find the perfect home for your family. The selling part is so stressful but moving to a new home is pretty exciting right. We are moving to West Knoxville about 15 minutes from here, so new schools for the kids. I'm not sure about Kaylee's dance school yet. I think I commented on your Beauty and the Beast tea pics already. That look like so much fun for the girls! Love the pics of them in their Belle dresses too precious. I look forward to reading your trip report since your trip is a week before mine. Sad I'm going to miss you, Mary and Leanne this trip. Your going to have so much at Poly. I know the weather will be better for you this year.

Nichole

HI BECKY :goodvibes Did you get your house on the market yet? Praying for a quick and non-stressful experience :lovestruc Let us know how it is going!

I'm feeling sooo much better now--thank you!! Yes, B&B would have been such a fun musical--not sure it was a musical yet when I was in high school!! ;) Yes, the show at HS is wonderful!! A great fix!!

Thank you! We had a lot of fun with Dr. Seuss Day!! Yes, Ally is a very smart little girl!! I'm very proud of her!! :goodvibes About to update now!!

Hee hee!! Yes, she goes every year with her daughter for cheer competition!! :goodvibes I am so glad that you were able to find the Belle dress that you wanted!! She is VERY reasonable!!

Hope you're feeling better, Becky! :flower3:

Thanks Michelle!! I am feeling sooo much better!! I thought of you today! We were VERY close to Decatur today--we took Ally to the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville!!

Yes!! Wow! Our house is 2200 and is a fully brick ranch. Yes, I am WORN out from trying to declutter and clean the house. (see my next update about all of that) It is very exciting, though. We want to stay in our small suburb--it is the place everyone wants to move to (which is good for selling the house).

I am going to miss you at the Poly this year, too!! but it looks like your recent trip was sooo much fun!! And you got to meetup with Sara and some other DISers!!

HI BECKY :goodvibes Did you get your house on the market yet? Praying for a quick and non-stressful experience :lovestruc Let us know how it is going!

Not yet!! I'm about to update about the house! ;)

Sorry I have not been online the past few days! Let me start from the beginning! So a friend of mine referred me to her realtor--this woman sold her house several years ago in 2 weeks and then sold their home last year during the worst part of the recession in THREE weeks!! She is ranked as a top realtor in our area!! So I ended up e-mailing her on Tuesday--my friend told me that she was returning from Disney World that day (cheer competition with her daughter) and that she would call me before lunch on Wed. And she did just that--right before lunch she called and we set up an appointment for 2:00 pm on Thursday. So I went into overdrive in terms of cleaning and decluttering and worked all day Wed. and right up until our appt. on Thursday. (I'm WORN out to say the least)

She showed up exactly on time and first we walked through the house together. (our home is 8 years old--we built it in '02) She commented on how nice it looked after 8 years. Then we went into the dining room to sit down and talk. Things went really well. She is recommending that we buy a house first so we can get everything out of it so it will sell quickly. She said it was very obvious that we were out of space and that if the home was empty that it would showcase the space better. She said it would take a lot of work to do it any other way. Lots of things would have to be taken to storage, etc.--things that we use everyday. She wants to make things as less stressful as possible for us. Plus if we have a contract on a home by the end of April we will get a $6500 tax credit. She said that she will be able to sell our home very quickly once we were out. She also said it was the best time to sell and that a home our size sells very quickly anyway. Brent wasn't able to be there at 2:00 so she came back at 5:00 when he was home to dicuss everything with him. He was a little hesitant at first but I think she explained things well to help him see the benefits of buying first--we just never thought of it. I'm really impressed with her. The suburb where we live is THE place to live--everyone wants to move here and she has no doubt that she can sell our house quickly. I hope all of that makes sense--I'm sooo tired right now!! So we have an appointment to go house-hunting on Monday!! I can't wait!! So I may not be online as often with all that we have to do but I will be checking in--I promise!! Please pray that we can find a home quickly, we can get moved, and that our house sells quickly!! Oh--I almost forgot--she said that her goal was to have us moved into a new house and a contract on our house before our Disney trip in May!! This lady means business, that's for sure!! :goodvibes

OH my word, Becky! That is a lot to take in! Hope that your house tour goes well on Monday and that you find one that you really love :goodvibes Will you list it before you buy the other one, or after? Good luck packing too :lovestruc Keep us updated!!!

I know!! Crazy, huh?! Thank you! We will not list until we're out! She wants to take pics of the house empty, etc. and doesn't want it to be more stressful on us than it has to be!
