Becky--how stressful! I am glad you found an amazing realtor!! I am saying prayers that you find a house quickly and your home will sell quickly as well!! : I sure hope you can have the bulk of it settled before Disney! It is interesting she wants it empty, truly must depend on where you live. In Northern IL, when we almost listed our home we told to consider to have it staged or to leave furniture behind (which was not an option since we moved out of state).

No kidding!! VERY stressful! We've never done this before so it's a lot to take in!! Thank you--I appreciate the prayers! Yeah--she said since we had so much stuff that she wanted the house to be empty--she thought she could sell it much quicker that way!

Wow, how exciting! I can certainly see your realtors point - it is hard to sell a home that has a lot of 'stuff' in it, the house shows 'small' that way. Getting your things out first will help buyers see their things in the space easier too.

Becky, that's wonderful that she has such confidence in your house! It would be great to have it all done by the time you go on your trip. I know it will be a lot of work for you right now - but I bet her way (buying first, then selling) will save a lot of stress from you. Its exhausting to always have to keep your house "show-ready", especially when you have little ones! Good luck with everything!

Is it house hunting exciting !!!!! I remember when I did the same last summer for our new house in Chicago.... and guess what ?? I sold my house just day before my trip to Disney last year....
What we had a conditional contract in our new house... just to be safe ( in these times ) if not , you end up having two mortgages at the same time, besides our realtor advised us to sold our house first, payoff most of our major credit cards so we could get a lower interest rate in the new house.. and we did it 5.0% not bad right??... sooo so not spend too much in the months to come ok?? or at least do not use your credit cards

It really is exciting, Lulu!! That's great! I bet you were able to really enjoy your trip even more b/c you sold your house! Yes, we don't have much debt at all (besides my car payment). We rarely use our credit cards and we have a lot in savings--we live pretty conservatively. 5% is a great interest rate--our realtor says that's around what it would be for us!!
