This Is A Poncho-Free Zone!--May 22-29, 2010 PTR (New PTR!!!! 5/31)

Yay for being back but boo to being sick! I hope you get better quickly. Whew, the consignment sale and now the house up for sale--busy, busy! How did the consignment sale go--where you happy with the outcome?

What a great time it looks like you had at the Beauty and the Beast night. The girls look adorable in their Belle dresses--are you taking them with you down to Disney?

The week before last was Read Across America celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday! On Friday, Ally's school had a special dress-up day where everyone dressed up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. Ally dressed up as Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch! I did her hair by putting a plastic 20 oz. coke bottle on her head and tying her hair up around it and spraying it heavily with hairspray!!!

They also had a creative writing contest that week and Ally won 1st Place for Kindergarten!! Here she is with her prizes!!!

Then last Sunday during Sunday School, Ally decided to draw us each a princess!!! My favorite are Belle & Cinderella--check out all the details!!

Would you believe that I totally forgot about the consignment sale when I was updating?! I just went back and edited my update!! I did great at the sale--I made nearly $800!!!!

Yes, we are definitely taking the Belle dresses to Disney!! These are the ones they wore to Akershus last year and will probably wear them there again this year!! :goodvibes

That Beauty and the Beast show looks so great! What an awesome day for the girls, I bet they had a blast.

And I love Ally's hair for Dr. Seuss Day! How did you ever come up with that idea - too clever!

Great outfit - so creative!

You know I love those Princess pictures! I love kids' art work. Those need to be framed and kept forever!

OH MY GOSH!!! That hairdo is FANTASTIC!!!!! Holy cow, you are creative!
My sister does the consignment sale in Omaha. They call it ReRuns and she works hard preparing for and working the sale. She makes about $600-800 herself. She usually uses the money for Christmas presents or birthday presents. Good for you for making that much. I wish we had something like that around here. Nope! Nothing.
Good luck selling your house. Houses in our area aren't selling so fast. I hope you find what you're looking for!

I am sooo very sorry, Michelle!! Hey--are you on FB? Message me!!! :goodvibes

I must admit that I have been a FB resister.................

I am so glad you're back---You've been missed. :) But, sorry you're sick. Hope you feel better soon.

Selling the house is major work---We've moved three times, and had to sell our house each time. It is a lot of work. It's funny that ya'll have decided to sell, because lately, Kevin has been talking about selling ours. He has house selling fever!

Love all your new picture updates---Ally's hair is great for Dr. Seuss day---:thumbsup2 AND look at big girl Claire drinking her pink lemonade without a sippy cup! :woohoo:

Thank you!! And her hair stayed like that the entire day!! Yes, I normally use the $ to buy new clothes for the girls (among other things). Thankfully our house is one of the smaller homes in our neighborhood which is good. I pray we can sell it quickly.

Awww!! You should get on FB!! It's a great way to reconnect! I'm able to keep up with all of my family who lives out of state! Would you believe my PARENTS were on FB before I was?! They finally talked me into it!

Yeah--there are some bigger homes going for great prices right now so we thought it was a good time. We've never sold a house before. This is our first house--we had it built. Before that we lived in 3 different apartments/townhomes. So I'm overwhelmed by everything I need to do!!

I was so scared that Claire was going to spill that pink lemonade all over herself, but she didn't!! I was so proud!! :lovestruc

Good luck on getting the house ready to put on the market!

The Beauty and the Beast tea looks really neat! The girls must have had a blast!

Ally is so cute as Cindy Lou! Did the coke bottle manage to stay on her head all day?

Great updates Becky!

That tea looks incredible! I love all the decorations and little touches and the costumes are amazing! I'm sure the girls had a blast! :thumbsup2

The Cindy Lou Who hair is a hoot! Great job. And the pictures of the princesses are adorable. I have a picture of Cinderella castle that Jonah drew after our first Disney trip that says, "Thank you for taking us to Walt Disney World." I LOVE IT and will keep it forever!

I know how you feel about outgrowing a house....ours feels smaller every day with 3 growing boys! I want a bigger home so badly, but the work involved is just overwhelming! I'm not even sure where to start, but we are setting some tax/bonus money aside to do some much needed improvements....it's a first step!

Love the Cindy Lou Hoo hair!!!! It's awesome! I saw the Beauty and the Beast pics on Facebook and they are wonderful. The costumes are so amazing!

Great updates and good luck selling the house!

Oh my gosh the coke bottle hair makes me laugh! That is the coolest thing. How did you get the bottle to stay on her head! I wanted to tell you that we are going back in October and we booked the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. We wanted the beach club again but it was booked up that week for some reason. We are excited though to go back to Wilderness Lodge and have the boat to Magic Kingdom.

Good luck with your house!

Love the updates. Glad you're back! The Beauty & the Beast looked spectacular! It looked like a first class performance.

And the Cindy-Lou get-up was too precious! :thumbsup2

Welcome back and good luck with you house.

Thanks Missy!! The tea was absolutely AMAZING!!! Yes, we've felt we outgrew our house when Claire was born. We no longer have a guest room and with both families being out of town--we really need one. Ally ends up sleeping on the floor in our office so the grandparents can sleep in her bed. Plus we don't have a playroom so the girl's toys are all over our living room! Uggh!

Love the Cindy Lou Hoo hair!!!! It's awesome! I saw the Beauty and the Beast pics on Facebook and they are wonderful. The costumes are so amazing!

Thanks Meghan!! The B&B was incredible!!!

Great updates and good luck selling the house!

Do you already have some in mind that you'd like to buy?? Exciting!

Thanks!! Yes, we've found a neighborhood that we really like but there are only 2 homes for sale in that subdivision--both we would like to go see at some point!!

Hee hee!! Thanks!! I pulled Ally's hair up on every side of the coke bottle and tied her hair to the top of the bottle with a hair band. It wasn't going anywhere!! YAY for an October trip and the Villas @ WL!!! How exciting for ya'll!! :woohoo:
