and I love the "my Castle" Comment....

Margaret is one of the flower girls in my borthers upcoming wedding next month and anytime it comes up in conversation...it is "My Wedding" and her flower girl dress is "my Wedding Dress" :lovestruc

sorry I missed all the 100 days and double digit dancing....very fun :cool1:

sounds like you had a wonderful Valentines weekend too

I love the chain too...very clever :thumbsup2

did you print them on on your computer and then just cut the paper into strips?

as always love your reports...

I like you countdown chain! I've been thinking about doing a calendar, but that chain idea is cute, too. I like that it has the characters on the front & the facts on the back-makes it more interesting! Love the Valentine's Day outfits & gifts, too. We do a treasure hunt for the kids' Valentines. It's something my parents did with my brother & me and it was always so much fun. Have a great week!

What an excellent VAlentine's day you all had! :)

I love my Keurig, DH actually got it for Christmas a couple years ago. We used when when we stayed at US resort (they have them in the room) and he loved it!!

my favorite coffee is the Newmans Bold.

Sounds like a fun Valentine's weekend. Glad you got to spend some time with your parents and that you and Brent got to have a date night! Those are always nice! :)

OK....your countdown chain is making me feel profoundly inefficient......Maybe you could just post each day, the number, and the fun fact, and I'll just read it aloud here at my house! ;)

It looks like yall had a great Valentine's Day! I watched the movie Valentine's Day with my sister on Saturday as well. We relly enjoyed it.

I love the countdown chain. I may have to steal your idea a bit.

Hey! Becky

first Claire is so cute with the kissing dolls!
great pictures from V-day...the girls look so happy; sounds like you and Brent had a wonderful evening. We had ours the weekend before!

I love the countdown chain and I love the how they included the trivia facts on each one; I'll have to remember that 5 yrs from now when we go back, Ashton should be old enough to appreciate it later.

:yay: on the Kureig (sP), Gwendolyn has been wanting one for a few years. I think I may get her and Joe that as a house warming...

Thanks! for sharing!
:wave2:

What a fun Valentine's Day!!! Ally is so cute in her Valentine's outfit, and Claire is too funny making her Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip kiss!

Coffee makers are always good gifts -- drinking coffee is my favorite part of the morning.

Your countdown chain is fantastic!!! Reading all those fun bits of trivia will definitely make the time until your trip go faster!

Thank you Jackie!! I'm loving being able to make myself coffee in the mornings!! :goodvibes

Sounds and looks like a great Valentine's Day Becky! The girls look adorable in their Valentine's outfits! :goodvibes

Your countdown chain is really cute too! Love the fun facts on the rings. I haven't decided why kind of countdown the girls are going to do yet.

We did, thanks Leanne!!! I'm about to post the links to where I got this chain if you're interested!! :thumbsup2 I was sooo tired last night when I posted that I forgot to post where I found it!

Wow, looks like you had a good Valentine's Day!

Love the chain. That is very cute. :thumbsup2

Thank you!! Ally is enjoying getting to take a link off each mornign and read me the fun fact!!

I'm glad you had a nice Valentine's weekend with your family. My friends and I saw Valentine's Day on Saturday also. We thought it was cute but predictable. I miss the days of mandatory valentines in school! We never did anything as cool as ice cream sundaes though. The countdown chain is very cute. I thought about making one, but maybe I'll wait until 30 days out.

Thank you! It was predictable but I loved how each character was linked to another character and so forth. And soo many stars in one movie!! :lovestruc Yeah--we started our chain last year at 30 days out but Ally insisted we start one ASAP!! :lmao:

What a great Valentine's day! My DH and I went out on Saturday night as well and Maddie stayed over at my parents house. We went to PF Chang's for dinner and then we saw "Valentine's Day" too! I thought it was really cute. I love Ally's Vday outfit. It's so cute. The countdown chain looks really awesome. I love the facts!

Thanks Meghan!! Wow! your Valentine's evening sounds very similar to ours!! Great minds think alike!! :thumbsup2
Your girls look adorable in their Valentine's outfits! I love all the bows you make. Do you have a website or anything - I'm thinking that my niece that is on the way is going to need some of those bows!

Claire making her dolls kiss is too cute :love1:

And I LOVE your countdown chain! Did you find the template for that here on the DIS or did you create all the links yourself? Very, very cute!

Thank you so much, Michelle!! I do have a website--I will PM you the link! :goodvibes

I totally forgot to post where I found the chain--I will do that in just one minute. I was so tired last night but I was bound and determined to post an update--I totally forgot to post the sources of my chain. I will post it in pink as soon as I respond to everyone!! :goodvibes

What a great Valentine's Day you had!!! I LOVE your Keurig!! I am thinking I'll have to ask for that when Christmas rolls around agai - it just looks so cool!!

The girls are precious, as always; I am partial to Prince Philip and Aurora myself. :lovestruc

Thanks Katie! The Keurig is awesome!! It makes a cup of coffee in just seconds!! I highly recommend it!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Julie!! Yeah, Claire is such a hoot!! She keeps me in stitches!! :lmao: Yes, I printed all of the strips on my computer and cut them with my paper trimmer. I will post more specifics and links in just a minute!! :goodvibes

Thank you!! I love that with a countdown chain you have this huge visual of the days getter shorter and shorter until your trip!! :goodvibes Oooh--a treasure hunt for valentines--that sounds fun!! We used to do something similar when we were kids at Easter. My parents would hide our Easter baskets somewhere in the house and we had to find them!! :goodvibes

What an excellent VAlentine's day you all had! :)

I love my Keurig, DH actually got it for Christmas a couple years ago. We used when when we stayed at US resort (they have them in the room) and he loved it!!

my favorite coffee is the Newmans Bold.

Thanks!! We had a wonderful weekend!! I didn't realize that the Keurig had been out that long! My friend got one for Christmas and I just had to have one!! I'd never seen anything like it!! :goodvibes

OK....your countdown chain is making me feel profoundly inefficient......Maybe you could just post each day, the number, and the fun fact, and I'll just read it aloud here at my house! ;)

Thanks Michelle!! Yes, we rarely get to go out just the 2 of us, so it was especially nice!! :goodvibes

Oh please don't feel inefficient. Ally has been bugging me to do one so I had no choice!! If it were up to me we would have started at 30 days out like last year. This chain took FOREVER to put together! (but Ally insisted on doing ALL of the gluing herself--that may have had something to do with it) I'm about to post where I found the chain if you want to do one of your own. I did not come up with it myself!! :goodvibes

It looks like yall had a great Valentine's Day! I watched the movie Valentine's Day with my sister on Saturday as well. We relly enjoyed it.

I love the countdown chain. I may have to steal your idea a bit.

Thanks Megan!! Wasn't the movie good? I loved how there were so many characyers in the movie but they were all connected in some way!!

Go ahead and steal--I'm about to post the link on where to find the chain!!

Hi Connie!! Thanks!! We had a wonderful weekend!! It was nice to have a night just the 2 of us!

Thanks! I'm about to post the links for the chain--you can save it for a future trip!! :thumbsup2

I was posting my last update late last night and totally forgot to mention where I found the countdown chain. So sorry--I was incredibly tired but I was determined to post an update!! The chain was not something I made on my own--I took 2 different chains I had found and fused the ideas together--literally!! :lmao: The front of the chain is something I found here on the DIS on this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1606287. You can PM or e-mail the OP and he will e-mail you the PDF file with the #s and characters. The only thing I found wrong with it (as you can see in the pics) were some grammatical errors (my OCD coming out). Instead of reading "Day's Till Disney" it should read "Days 'til Disney." I chose to overlook that b/c the work was already done for me and it saved me TONS of time!! It is a PDF file so you can't change it. Ok--onto the fun facts. I found these already typed up here: http://www.plan-a-magical-vacation.com/vacation-countdown-chain.html. Note--you need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click to open the FRONT side. Then you can copy and paste it into a Word document and change whatever you want! The original had facts for a different resort (facts 90 and up), facts specifically for Christmas (near the beginning), and a few outdated facts I had to change throughout. So--I printed out both chains and glued them back to back to create ours!! :goodvibes Let me know if you have any questions!!

Here is our fun fact for today: Polynesian Resort Motto: Aiita Peatea which means "There will be another day tomorrow, just like today." (94 days 'til Disney!!)

And I'll leave you with this cute video I put together on that site I posted last week (this is our family, including my brother)--just click on the link, wait for it to load, and enjoy: http://www.mymagicaldisneyvacation.com/20276

Phew Becky - that is one heck of a countdown chain! You rock! It's all I can do to grab the Home Depot mickey heads, cut them out and put them on a piece of cardboard! How fun to have Ally read you the fact each day! I'm sure she loves it!

It sounds like you had a great Valentine's Day! Ours was spent driving home from Disney. :sad1: Kind of a bummer! We had such a good time and the Poly was fabulous! :cloud9: I just love it there! I wish my pocket book did too, though! Probably not going to be able to stay there for a while (unless a really good deal comes out...LOL)!

You're getting so close now.....:banana::banana:

Love the paper-chain countdown idea! Thanks for sharing :goodvibes - a few years ago I made a wdw countdown chain from paperclips... it was over 240 clips long though!! :rotfl: I had it strung all around my room at university!! .. a paper one would've made much more sense!! :rolleyes1

Looks like you had a really lovely Valentines weekend - we don't make much of it in England, just couples buy cards, flowers and chocolates.. I think the valentines your girls had look like a lovely idea! :lovestruc

I had literally just found the Disney 'my magical vacation' website today!
It's so much fun!!

Thanks for sharing that website Becky! I amy have to work with that one for our trip. I was thinking of not starting mine until 45 days out, so I still have some time.

Your Valentine's Day looked lovely! The kissing dolls are too cute!

That video cracked me up! The massage with the cucumber eyes is too funny! :lmao:
