For anyone currently staying at either resort, has the Martha's vineyard conversion to a sports bar been complete? We stayed at the BCV the last few weeks of Oct. and learned the change would be happening before the end of the year. On our last day(Oct 29) when we walked over to Beaches and Cream we noticed that the bar had been repainted a darker shade of blue overnight and the crew was just finishing up for the day. Has anything else been done?

Just back from our DVC stay at BCV and here are my thoughts, fresh on my mind (stayed third week of Oct). We also did a 3 day Disney Wish cruise. We've been DVC members at BC for 22 years. I can happily say we still absolutely love it. We raised our kids going every year to DW, now we stay and enjoy the resort every day at Stormalong B pool and just relax. The good! REALLY loved the added umbrellas!! My DH recently developed due to medication, a sun sensitivity. He spent alot of time reading underneath one and it was amazing. I spent all my time in the lazy river, and loooove the new blue rafts. The lifeguard did tell me, once they break which they are easily broken, they won't replace them as they're too expensive ($80 each). I wish they were all blue, so easy to hop on and off. Bring in more Disney, please, we love them. The bad. They haven't brought back the sign to make the hot tub, all adult . I asked every day to CM's walking by, and they said they'd talk to the manager, but I never heard back. Most said they have no idea. Disney, PLEASE bring back that small perk!! Kids were coming in and diving to the bottom, unsupervised, screaming and playing. We loved that hot tub for years, and really missed it.

We'd go to a different restaurant each night, but the last night I was looking forward to a simple pepperoni flatbread at the BC Marketplace. What in the world happened! They're now pre made, UGH. Just awful. They used to make it right in front of you and it was amazing. Bring that back please.

On our last day, a huge shout out to the Mgr of Food and Beveridge at Stormalong bay, her name is Viviana. A true angel. She came by asking how everything is. We were waiting to head to the airport and I was covered in sunscreen and the showers had just broken. I mentioned it to her and she went above and beyond. She phoned everyone she knew, to try to get us somewhere to shower. She finally landed a room at the YC, that was being cleaned. I was SO grateful. Thank you Viviana!!!!

Absolutely love our BCV stays. Can't wait for next year!

New food and cocktail menu as well! Open 12-11 Saturday-Sunday and 4-11 Monday-Friday!"

I'll be there tomorrow to check it out in person but saw this instagram post from the "daydrinkers club." Repainted, 8 tvs, new menu. I'm happy to see this space getting some attention and the new menu sounds pretty good! Great that it opens at noon on weekends! Photos not updated on the Disney site yet.

When we ate at Martha's last month they did mention that they added three new apps. Would you check out the new menu as well, if you have time? We will be back in Feb. and are hoping the menu stays the same with the recently added items and that's it for menu changes.

Will do! I think maybe the menu online is updated but the photos of and description of the space are not? I don't remember the chips with chili or them having both wings and ribs or hummus last time, but I may be remembering wrong. "Martha's graveyard" no more , excited to see this space come to life.

The wings and ribs have been on the menu for a while although the ribs used to be hoisin glazed, that change was about a year ago. The Hummus was new for our Oct. trip. The chips and chili are new since Oct. We enjoy Martha's because it's usually very quiet, I hope the changes don't turn it into the ESPN club. (even though we did enjoy the ESPN club when we wanted that atmosphere)

Oh my gosh, we are approaching our 40th anniversary too! May, 1986, it was a good year!!!

A very good Year! We are February 15, 1986, it feels like yesterday!
Until I look back at all we've been through - We have 3 daughters, the youngest just graduated college and the older two each have 2 children of their own. Can't wait till the grandbabies are older so we can take them to the most magical place on earth!

Thanks for sharing this! I haven't seen much chatter. It seems like "The Perch" at GF is the bar/lounge getting all the vlogger hype. This change at BC is big for the resort.

Do I need to book in advance or can I wait till we are there and book the day before?

You do need to book at least 24hr in advance. Would he be just wanting to fish along the canals around crescent lake or may be a Bass Nitro boat round Bay lake? (For Florida Large Mouth Bass).
