What is the weather like in mid-July?

Mid July 2009 ~ we visited for 1 long day and the weather was pleasant - remember S CA has very little humidity ~ very different from central FL ~ we visited WDW early Oct 2009 and it was miserably hot and humid.

Early July at DLR last year was quite cool in the early morning and evening *which I actually prefer.

Great to know! I might actually think about a July visit if the weather will not be too HOT. We usually pick June anywhere we vacation in the summer because we do not do well in extreme heat. It is tough on us red heads from Western PA

My son is a HUGE Cars fan. We are planning on WDW in December of 2012 as we know we'll be back in 2013 or 2014 to take in all the Fantasyland Expansion/update stuff. And planning on DLR in 2013 (spring maybe summer, haven't decided yet) to see Carsland.

Personally, I'm with others who say delay your trip till July (maybe even August) so you guys get to enjoy Carsland (considering you are WDW junkies so to speak).

Just to warn you, we've been in July when the weather has been in the mid to high 90's. I've also been in July when it was in the 80's. You just can't be sure. However, it is never humid so that to me makes a big difference.

If your points are cheaper in June, I see the reasoning of choosing that time. Just be aware of those other issues. Last summer we looked at the last week of July vs the first week of Aug. The rates at CCI were cheaper in August than in July. You might want to check that way too. Socal APs will still be blocked out and summer schedule up and running. This past summer was one of coolest in CA in many years and the weather last Aug was not hot at all.
