In April, I will add an ad-blocker detector. If you use an ad blocker, you will see the option to disable it or upgrade.

Hate to say it but I’m out of here then. I get the need for ads but having so many that the site is barely functional on a mobile device is ridiculous.

Well… when the coffee shop didn’t have gelato we went to the cart by the pool. There was a CM when we looked out the window, but a “we’ll be back in 15 minutes” sign when we got there. My youngest, who had waited patiently for his Mom and brother to go on Tower of Terror dreaming of the RIV gelato, was LIVID.

Complete bust of a Skyliner ride over there.

Luckily Boardwalk Ice Cream had nearly no line and they were both boys were happy.

I think any chance I had of talking the fam into trying RIV went up in smoke today.

There's something rubbing me wrong about making the site virtually unusable due to ads, and then charging to have them removed. I get the desire/need to monetize it, but it can be reasonable.

I have no idea how it all works but I think it’s the way certain ads are running causing issues that are unintended. I have no problem with ads just when they make pages reload or freeze up. I could be wrong but I don’t think they had a fix for it and its google ads that pushes out the ads it wants to push out.

I love your new tagline. I genuinely think we could get along in real life.

Maybe I think of it differently because I have rented and rented out points on here without them taking a middle man fee and find that $50 for a year is still a good value for the best DVC active community on the internet.

I have not personally found the site unusable with ads. Annoying? Yes. But not unusable. I mean, I’ve posted plenty on here on both on my phone and my MacBook and I’ve never used an ad blocker. Sure, the ads on mobile are annoying and there are occasionally times when it has gotten glitchy on my laptop, but it was never so much that I just said the heck with it.

For me, the ads were borderline inappropriate at times and glitchy. Made typing a response difficult because the ad would reload or whatever while I was typing. Very frustrating.

I had an issue where mine showed for me but no one else. I think you might have to post the pic on the "test" thread so that it's available to all on the site.
