Well, we are thinking of going to Universal in Jan. for a long weekend to see Harry potter. Being I have points I need to use I thought we would just stay at WDW and use Mears to get to Universal. It will be myself and 2 of my children ages 20 & 21. Which DVC resort would you choose, we will not going into disney parks this visit. Thinking maybe either the boardwalk or AKL might be fun. Open for suggestions. Thanks

I'd probably call and see what's available and make the decision from there. If you are going to Universal and not planning on ANY Disney parks, it would be hard for me to stay at either BCV or BWV and be so close to Epcot without going in. Of course, we have APs, so we WOULD go in;). I'd probably do SSR or OKW for the ease to Universal.

We like BCV in January....even if it isn't hot, it is wonderful to walk the boardwalk or sit on the beach. But, I don't think I could be there and not go into the World Showcase or hop over to DHS for a dose of Terror!

I'd go for OKW with the size of the villa.

Second that. Real quick to get out of WDW too.

That's actually why I suggested OKW or SSR too. It's much easier to get to Universal from there. I would NOT do AKV unless you are planning to spend a lot of time there. It really does take a lot longer to get to the city from there.

I have to agree here. You can walk to WDW in 5 minutes. That would be a terrible tease.
