Thinking of bringing our Keurig

Firstly, which resort are you going to because quite a few of the deluxe now have pod coffee machines (not sure if its kuerig or senseo).

But YES take your own coffee. I am very fussy about my coffee and need decent coffee also - the resort coffee is  and I wouldn't drink it if you paid me lol We took our own.

Again, I cannot stress enough TAKE YOUR OWN COFFEE  whether you take just the supplies to make it using the resort coffee pot or if convenient then take your Kuerig.

EDIT: Oops, just seen you are staying at POP, take your Kuerig - do it for your hubby, the poor guy will suffer if his only choice is resort coffee :p

Yes take it. Then leave it so the rest of us can have it for our stay.

Kind of like the fridge shares that used to happen at the Values. You hand it off to someone when they check in.

Dreaming....

for plain, basic unadulterated coffee.. DD is hands down a bazillion times better than Starbucks. in fact when the DD K cups came out the FIRST thing DH did was beg me to send him some. Alas, they are only sold in DD shops and I do not drive so cannot get to one to do so. something tells me one of the first things we do once he returns is hit a DD and buy a case or 6....

They sell the Dunkin k-cups at all the Targets down here...check yours next time you're there! And if that fails, there's also online ordering!

We stayed at WL last month and they had the new Cuisinart coffee makers with Cuisinart coffee in little pods (regular and decaf). You could brew 2 cups at a time and it was very good (I live in MA a LOVE my DD too!). Definitely use bottled water though no matter what coffee you brew.

I wish all hotels would replace those nasty coffeemakers that never quite look clean with Keurigs. Neat, clean and simple. They could put a few coffee and tea k-cups in each room, and sell more in the gift shop. Good for the hotels, good for Keurig, good for the guests.

Universal already has, and a nice selection of different K-cups (all free) in each room.:worship:

OP yes bring the Keurig. Disney coffee is horrible. I'm not picky when it comes to coffee, plain old black coffee is just fine with me, Disneys coffee though...

All you DD lovers need to get up north to Canada/Upstate NY and get to Tim Horton's! I had DD every day until my BF crossed me over to the dark side known as Tim Horton's. Now, like a robot, I get in the 20 car long drive thru line every morning before work. The big joke around the city is that there is cocaine in the coffee because every Tim Horton's drive thru is always packed in the mornings

Bring it but stop and get a couple gallon jugs of bottled water. I would hate to get that metallic Orlando water taste stuck in my machine.

Absolutely bring your Keurig! Isn't it amazing how universally hated WDW's coffee is?

As for the PP who mentioned Tim Horton's coffee...I have never had it but have heard it great!

we brought ours with us when we were at WDW in March. Just remember to bring some gallon jugs of water--the water in Orlando is so bad, it just ruins the coffee!

we brought ours this past September! best decision ever!!

not unless Dunkin sells online.. I have tried alll my suppliers.. Keurig, green mountain, even big cat.. and no body has 'em. haven't been to a target in almost 3 years.. DH has been gone that long. when I say I am homebound I mean HOME bound.. I get out of the house maybe once a month to go to the post office which is a mile away and literally lands me on the couch or in bed for two days afterward.. and it is less than a mile away. thank goodness for practically anything being available to order online nowadays.. even groceries.

While I, too, love my Keurig - I drink 2-3 cups of coffee in the morning.

On trips without access to good coffee and no provided pot in the room - I bring along a 4 cup mini-pot instead of my Keurig. It's about the same size as my mini Keurig and alot cheaper. I stress less about it getting damaged - or running out of room in my suitcase to bring it home because I could leave it behind if necessary!

My husband bought three to four cups of coffee a day for ten days last year. Add that up at $5.00 a cup! Hubby can tell you exactly where in every park you can find real coffee. I'm planning to check out the VIA packs before our next trip but I'm still not keen on using the rooms coffeemaker -- I've watched too many "yuck"umentaries. (We don't own a Keurig, we have a Tassimo which is bulkier and the "t-discs" are getting very hard to find, so we may soon end up with a Keurig.)

I didn't think the coffee at Beach Club was that bad. I usually filled my mug up at least twice a day.

I would like to see Disney put the Keurigs in the rooms. At Universal, the Royal Pacific has them in all the rooms. Teas, cocoa, and lots of coffee.

I just got back from 2 weeks at POP and by the second week, I had given up drinking that terrible Nescafe swill they call coffee! In fact, that was my number 1 complaint when I filled out the electronic survey when I left! I missed my keurig so much and Canadian Tim Horton's coffee! Rumour has it that all the values will be getting coffee pots by January (after they receive fridges). Keep your fingers crossed! :worship:

While I was just at the BC, they changed to the Cuisinart coffee maker in the room. It uses pods (not Kcups). Maybe you could buy pods to take.

To the PP who took their Keurig...you had my 2 favorite coffees in the picture, Kona and Dunkin !

I wrap it in plastic bubble wrap and pack it in my suitcase and it makes the flight down perfect every time! We bring a box of coffe and buy French vanilla creamer at Publix. That way, every morning we wake up in WDW, we have our favorite coffee and not that Nestle stuff in the Pop cafe.:surfweb:
