"Think of the Happiest Things" - How This Trip Was Born

I have a brand new nephew! :woohoo:

Warner Rex was born at 10:07 this morning, 6pds 8ounces 19.5 inches long. This is my baby brother's first child and I'm super excited for him! :cloud9:

Congradulations, I am a granpa for the first time... two weeks ago my step daughter gave birth to a 8 lbs 12 oz baby girl 22inches long ...the new mommy is 5' 1" an 110 lbs...the baby was way overdue. Doctors realy got this one wrong. Here is the grandbaby 4 hours old

Very cute! What a proud Grandpa you must be. What a big baby for such a little mommy!

Yes, she had a very hard delivery...the baby was 10 days or more over due. Mommy developed conjestive heart failure a week later because she had such a hard time...now she has to feed the baby formula cause all the meds she is on....its almost a week later now and she is home doing better

Yikes that is scary. Glad she is doing better.

The plan for our Disneyland trip began in September 2007. All summer I had been hoping to arrange a return trip to Disneyland for Halloween again, but David wasn't going for it. I figured that since he goes to Anaheim every January for Supercross with his friend without any of the rest of us, we all should get equal opportunity to go to Anaheim. Which of course means Disneyland.

David said since we couldn't go for Hallween, he wouldn't do his annual Supercross trip. Then one day I stumbled upon Anaheim Suppercross tickets in the Armada.

I chose to keep my discovery to myself for awhile.

Sometime after that, I can't remember if it was days or weeks later, David and I were out shopping and stopped to have lunch at Olive Garden.

While eating lunch I casually mention the Anaheim Supercross tickets. Caught off guard David essentially wanted to know what I wanted in trade. I lobbied for Disneyland for Halloween, but I that got shot down. He did offer up the compromise of Disneyland for the next year at Christmas time. Which I immediately jumped on and said we could go to celebrate Daisy's 13th birthday, which is November 28th, and to see the Christmas decorations.

Once home from lunch, I began checking out dates on the 2008 calendar and settled on December 2nd-6th. Close enough to Daisy's birthday, but not Thanksgiving week, early in December to hopefully not be to crowded, but Christmas decorations should be out in full force.

:rotfl2:

Cute story! And great visuals! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Gotta love Photobucket! I didn't have any "real" pictures so I had to make do.

Now I want to go eat at Olive Garden! :)

Christmas at Disneyland is going to be so pretty!

I think Christmas time is going to be very pretty as well. We saw the beginnings of decorations going up on our Halloween trip so it will be nice to see what it looks like fully decorated.

Yeay for Disneyland at Christmastime!

Is that a t-shirt that you photographed for the Disneyland logo? I love that vintage look all the Disneyland stuff seems to have!

Last time we were at Disneyland they had lots of stuff with that logo on it. IT does look like a t-shirt, but I really just snagged it off of photobucket.

I will hopefully be in Disneyland the same week Dec 1-5 celebrating my 35th birthday. It's in the planning stage now and soon it will be a go even if it does have to turn into a solo trip which is how it is looking right now. Aah, the joys of being single and having friends who are all married and family who refuses to go with you on yet another Disneyland trip. I am going no matter what! It's my dream to celebrate my 35th in Disneyland.

I will be excited to hear what you are planning.
